one of my kids broke his leg so his favorite recess activity now that kicking balls over the fence is off the table has been hangman, except we call it frankenstein because my teacher doesnt like calling it hangman, and its all good until he wants to take over and be the frankmaster, because a game of frankenstein (hangman) run by a kindergartner who cant spell and doesnt know all his letters is a crapshoot, except for the fact that every single time without fail his phrase is "dog eats," but he doesnt know how to spell "eats" so that part is different every time, but if he realizes youve caught on that the phrase is Dog Eats theres a 50% chance he will start improvising, and its in gods hands from there on out

I love Fenris recruitment quest. Like Anso’s whole thing is incredible and then why does it treat the lyrium smuggling thing as a reveal of relevant info Hawke has to pull out of him and then it’s not about that at all and he’s never seen or heard from again. Fenris never says what he thought was going to be in the chest. He then picks up something off a corpse (by waving his hands over it bc that animation is close enough sure) and knows from it that Danarius is here (he is not) but he can’t read so what the hell was on the corpse was it a map of Kirkwall with a big X and a drawing of Danarius’ face. And then Fenris later reveals it’s not even Danarius’ house but does not give an adequate explanation for whose it is. The writing is just too good to need to make sense

Yk what fucks me up, that scene where Grace was playing the lava game w his students.... bc it literally foreshadows Grace’s entire character arc. His students hand him the 🌍 toy, asked about the Petrova line, and when he tries to pass, they were like “nope!🤚 you can’t pass” like it’s just a joke.

Ff to the actual plot where the entire planet basically hands him the actual Petrova problem and suddenly he genuinely can't pass that responsibility to anyone else. UGH. the movie really said “btw this silly classroom moment is the whole plot” and hid it in plain sight. 🧍

we are broadly so fucking bad at being good friends to people who Cannot Leave

there are people who Cannot Leave. hopefully it's not the case for their whole lives but it is the case for them RIGHT NOW. and even trauma and abuse aware communities are shitassfuck bad at knowing how to be a supportive friend to these people and I find it soooo fucking frustrating. it's condescension and scolding and unrealistic standards and victim blaming and minimizing all the way fucking down .

It's so important to educate yourself about why people stay in bad situations and how to help someone who can't leave or goes back. Any sentence starting with "You should just" is bad, but "You should just leave" is one of the worst.
