People nowadays really cannot understand what a tv-show is telling them unless it's spelled out for them in 3 different languages and this is why we have no slowburns anymore. Case in point: my own personal filipino show Project Loki and people not understanding that the show is playing with romance like they fake-dated, there's like 100 looks and hints and awkward moments, jealousy, Jamie telling Lori that he'll never fall for her and on top of all that LOKI ASKING HER OUT ON A DATE and only taking it back because she laughed and asked him if it's a prank AND YOU LITERALLY SEE HIS FACE GETTING DISAPPOINTED before he pretends it was indeed a prank. Like all of this is here only for people to think it's all random, they're just friends, he just randomly pranked her for the date (for no reason this is clearly something that happens on tv-shows) and it means nothing. WE HAVE LOST THE ANCIENT TEXTS. Is everyone watching this show 12 years old 'cause this in the CW days was the same thing as the two main characters making out against a wall.
