“What is a crafting blitz?” Tony furrowed his eyebrows and smiled. “That’s the very first time I’ve heard this. Yeah, and I’m like the un-craftiest one of all. I can draw, but that’s about it.” Tony brought up the fun fact. “What are you making?”
“If only I knew.” She sighed. “Ugh same. I don’t have any creative bone in my body. I am gonna make a comb sheath because it looks very easy. You just put bedazzle it, that’s all.”
tonylacazette:
“Well, we don’t charge for guac, if someone says otherwise, well - they’re just trying to get some money out of you. ‘Cause you know, some guys will.” Tony said with a grin. “Yeah? What are you girls doing as your bonding activity?”
“Oh I know. Some guys are sneaky. I’ll be careful, thanks.” She mirrored his grin, then nodded her head. “Don’t even ask, it’s so boring. Crafting blitz and exchange. I am the least creative person on earth, I feel bad for the person who is gonna get my gift.”

“I don’t trust Rotten Tomatoes. Something about communal reviews with no education basis feels a little Ayn Randian to me. Like, not everyone *knows* about movies. Give me Siskel and Ebert. Or even a Jay Sherman, honestly,” he said with a shrug. “Well, work of art seems a bit far. I don’t think Nolan gets as much mileage as we all think he will. People still spoof the 66 Batman tv show- I doubt Nolan’s Batman will have as much lasting power. Not even Frank Miller’s did.”
“Well yeah, because they’re comics based and more conceptual on the scale related to camp. Did you ever see Dick Tracy? Now that’s a comic book superhero movie.” Charlie had always had a soft spot for that movie, he couldn’t say why.
“Agreed,” Charlie nodded. “But she was accurate to the Tell Tale Catwoman and her DCU flashpoint update.”
“I don’t think we watched the same Captain American movies at all. I think he has a lot of layers, that he’s terribly lonely and terribly out of place and time. I think there’s a lot of mileage there with his relationships with Nick and Bucky. And they’ve yet to make an X-man movie that comes close to that 90s cartoon series. First Class wasn’t bad though.”
“No education basis? Please. ” She snorted, rolling her eyes at him. “Besides, not just Rotten Tomatoes, literally almost all decent movie critics praised Nolan’s movies.” She shrugged. “Nolan’s Batman has an actual story arc and character development that other movies couldn’t get it right. The movies are much more enjoyable. Now, you are just being delusional. I am one hundred person sure his Batman will have much more lasting power.”
“You can still give characters dimensions even if you base them comic books. No, I haven’t seen Dick Tracy.” Bailey shrugged her shoulders.
“You are kidding, right? Like Captain America -- excuse me, Captain Average is the world’s most bland character. He’s lonely but somehow, magically, he decides to be a hero. Where the hell is his rage? Where the hell are his flaws? Please.” She wrinkled her nose. “First Class was the best movie. I only care about Bryan Singer’s X-Men movies, the rest is just a mess.”
tonylacazette:
“Yeah, exactly - that one. I should have just said that. I have a tendency to ramble, but I’m glad that I don’t stutter because that would have been very annoying.” Tony apologized. “Sweet. And we bought a lot of avocados so we’re making a lot of guac, and don’t worry, we don’t charge extra for guac.” He jested, referring to every Mexican food chain that does.
“I wouldn’t find that annoying, don’t worry about it.” Bailey smiled. She wasn’t a type of a person who would get annoyed when the other person stuttered. “You better not because you invited me and it would be so rude if you charged extra for guac.” She laughed. “I would’ve invited you to Gamma bonding as well but I don’t think you would enjoy.”
sweetmamamia:
“ Well I can’t blame you there. Those don’t even sound like they’d be shades of pink. Wouldn’t lemonade be like a yellow-ish color? ––– Ooh, okay… Isn’t it kinda.. weird-shaped to be a comb sheath? Ya know, it started out as a small jewelry box but I accidentally glued the top on so now it’s just a door stopper. ”
“Right? That’s what I thought but apparently they were shades of pink. Not practical at all.” She sighed, then looked at the comb sheath. “Yeah.. It was supposed to be a rectangle. Well at least you could use it as a door stopper. I don’t think anyone would use mine as a comb sheath or something else.” Bailey huffed, rubbing her temples. “God I hate arts and crafts. Why didn’t Gamma pick something easier? Like cooking or baking? I don’t even wanna think about Gamma and Lambda bonding. Pictionary. Literally the only game I suck at.”

adamxten:
“You think you’re the biggest loser on campus?” Adam tilted his head, surprised. He always knew Bailey lacked the confidence that most girls on campus had, but he never saw her as the biggest loser. At least, not now he didn’t. His definition of what a loser meant to him had changed over the past year, and Bailey was far from it. “I’m not much of a casanova anymore, huh. I don’t know if the girls around here wised up to my playing ways, or if I’m growing up. Either way, I fail to get the ladies like I used to,” he laughed, taking a sip. “I wouldn’t, no. But even if I had a little buzz I’m sure I’d a lecture about it.”
“Kinda. I mean maybe I am not the biggest loser but I surely am one of the losers. Does that make sense? Probably not.” With a chuckle, the brunette shook her head. Bailey has never been one of those cool kids, which was surprising because she was raised by two cool people. She chose to stay sidelines and avoid the drama as much as possible. “I think it’s a little bit of both. It’s probably because you are growing up because let’s be real, newbies have no idea about your playing ways. Come on, I don’t believe that. You probably haven’t met someone you actually wanted to get.” She shrugged, taking a sip, then grimaced her face. “Ah I see. Damn I didn’t know Omegas were strict about alcohol. You always manage to surprise me.”
tonylacazette:
“I know, I should be ashamed. But I’m not, I’m not one of those guys who are afraid to admit certain embarrassing things.” Tony assured. “Yeah, and to think we’re in the 21st century, people should be more open minded that everyone has different beliefs and just have to deal with it.” Tony scratched the back of his head. “I could go on and on about discrimination, but you know, it might me angry. And you may not like it, when I’m angry.” Tony imitated Hulk in his last sentence, followed by a laugh. “So, there’s this thing…do you, uh, want to get…we have this uh…taco making thing..” Tony rambled. He took a deep breath and gathered his thoughts. He wasn’t asking her out, he just wanted to talk to her more, in a different time. “Do you like tacos or burritos - I get it if you don’t and I’m definitely not asking you out, I just wanted to see if you were - down for that. We’re making pizza and cookies too.”
“Nah, you shouldn’t be ashamed. There’s nothing to be ashamed of.” She chuckled. “Good for you. I completely agree with that statement.” The female nodded. “Wow, I am shaking right now. You should’ve warned me earlier. “ Bailey shook her hands dramatically, as if she was scared. She narrowed her eyes at him, trying to understand what he was going to say. “Oh you are talking about Kappa bonding.” She figured, placing her hand on her chin. “I do like Mexican food, yes. I am down for that. Let’s stick to Mexican food though. I’ll take tacos over pizza any time.” She chuckled. “So, yes. I am in.”
tonylacazette:
“I prefer the pool more than beaches quite honestly. Too much sand, and it gets everywhere.” Tony disagreed. He was glad that he has held up a conversation this long. Usually, his conversations would only last but three sentences. “I’ve heard good things; I got accepted to USC and actually wanted to go there but I wanted something more low-key.” He shared. “Yeah, it’s terrible. Especially like my parents weren’t born here, but they have been immigrants for years before finally becoming citizens. So yeah, it does have it’s downsides but hey, I speak three languages so I’m good. It has its perks.”
“I don’t mind that. I don’t get grossed out easily.” She chuckled. “USC is a good school, my dad went there. I get it, USC is everything but low-key. I have, like three friends and two of them are attending USC.” The brunette nodded, tucking her hair behind her ears. “Discrimination is an awful thing. I have two dads, they weren’t even allowed to get married until few years ago. Which is dumb, love is love, it doesn’t have a gender. There you, it definitely has its perks.”
tonylacazette:
“Los Angeles, huh? Yeah, that is a rough place. Especially when people can be nosy because you know, Hollywood vibes.” Tony tried to put the right words together, to get his point across. “I grew up in New Jersey, you know, that little state that’s full of nothing. All we’re known for is beaches and I don’t even live by it.” Tony jested. “Yeah, I feel you, this is why I didn’t go to college anywhere close to my home town. Plus, of course, not to be bragging; we live inside a bougie neighborhood so I understand shallow thinking at its finest. Everybody cared who was the best dressed and who had the biggest house over there.” Tony nodded his head. “Once, a cop car followed me as I walked home because I was wearing a hoodie and sweatpants. Mind you, I just came from the gym. I’m not a hoodlum at all. Does this face, look like a hoodlum?” He teased. “Needless to say, once I gave them my “I’m a Latino” speech, they drove away because I could report them for profiling.”
“You have no idea.” If only he knew.. Bailey was the daughter of a director and cinematographer, she grew up in movie sets, she attended several award shows. But she always hated the spotlight, and avoided the press as much as possible. She didn’t hang out with celebrities, she didn’t post selfies with them. “That’s a shame because I love beaches. My dad begged me to attend UCLA but I didn’t want it. Although I am going to go back to LA and attend UCLA for med school, well because it’s one of the best schools.” She chuckled. What Tony just said was pretty much Bailey’s life in LA. “Oh my God. I am so sorry. God cops are the worst! They do profile every minority and it pisses me off.”
suhchase:
“You certainly have the drive for it and the ability to keep it together under pressure as well. That’s impressive,” he nodded with a smile. “All this time I thought I was exuding so much cool, but it turns out even a Gamma can tell I’m a bit on the dorkier side. There’s probably a place somewhere for me in Hollywood, you’re right,” he laughed a bit at her statement. “When you put it like that, I think I’ll be able to survive a trip to Europe. As expected, I would fit in the most with the Italian people.”
“Keep it together? I constantly cry. It’s a mess.” It was true, Bailey tended to cry whenever she’s too stressed. “It’s fine. Being cool is overrated anyway, it’s a make believe if you ask me. I am sure there is.” And Bailey would know, she was grew up there. “Definitely! You would love Italy. They are very fun and their food? The best. Literally the best.”
zaayefuentes:
“I personally don’t understand happy cry-ers I don’t have that much depth it seems like too much emotion for one person to contain, but if that’s you and you feel that much empathy then that’s cool for you.” He gave her an encouraging smile and shook his head. “You really need to see trolls it’s like what the original remake of the smurfs should have been instead of that live-action nonsense, no offense to Neil Patrick Harris. But UP was the best animated movie I have seen in a long time. It destroyed your soul in the first two minutes alone with everything Ellie and Carl went through and Charles Muntz was not a villain for a Disney movie. He wasn’t like a ‘LOL I’m going to destroy you but still fun’ guy he was a straight up I’m gonna fucking murder you villain and I loved it but too much for kids, man.” He let out a chuckle with a shake of the head. “Oh shit, you have two dads? I have two moms, but anyway Scarface? I’m kinda with your dad small kids can’t be watching Scarface, but actually, that explains a lot.”
“God I cry so easily. I cry when I am sad or mad or happy. I just cry all the time.” Bailey shrugged, letting out a chuckle. She wasn’t ashamed or anything like that. “Right? God, Up was amazing. You are right, it can be too much for kids but hey, they gotta face the death at some point. It’s a part of life. I just love that movie so much. It makes me cry, yet I watch it over and over again.” With a sigh, Bailey shrugged. “I do! Oh my God, really? That’s so cool. What do you mean by that explains a lot?”
daveybritt:
“I’m sure that answers full of neurons and chemical make ups with a hefty dose of childhood events. There’s science in everything.” flitting her hands towards the sky as if the everything was truly all around. “Of course it’s not the point, but the whole gender equality movement sure did come up with a catchy slogan.”
“There’s always a freudian excuse for everything I guess.” Bailey chuckled, shrugging her shoulders. “I am all about gender equality, which is why I think men shouldn’t walk around shirtless either. I don’t want to see their nipples.”
tonylacazette:
“I don’t know, first, awkwardness does not look good in young adults. Second, well girls aren’t really into that.” Tony said with an accompanied shrug. She had a point and he knew that. Growing up with social anxiety has its setbacks but he had really started to make a huge leap with joining a fraternity and putting himself out there. “No, thank God, she sounds horrible. I don’t know why some people get a kick out of instilling fear in everybody.” Tony scrunched his nose and shook his head. “Yeah, it’s crazy how shallow kids were in high school. It kind of flowed over here to college too, but then nobody knows who you were in your past life so - it’s nice to have a clean slate.”
“Good thing you are not gonna stay as a young adult forever.” She shrugged her shoulders. Awkwardness wasn’t a bad thing, in fact it was much better than cockiness. At least in Bailey’s book. “She is horrible. I don’t know either but I guess some people were just born intimidating, thank God she’s not here anymore. Good riddance.” The female grimaced her face jokingly, then chuckled. “Tell me about it. I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I live in Los Feliz, I am surrounded by shallow people. Exactly! I am grateful for that. When I see someone from high school, I just hide. I really don’t want them to know I am here, that would ruin my clean slate.”
bellsvargas:
“At that point, just buy a wake up call or if you don’t want to spend money, trick some poor freshman into being your wake up call for at least a semester. Can’t say I’d be too happy if I went to a class and got sick from it, especially if it’s a class I don’t enjoy.” She frowned. “That’s kinda depressing, you really think no one can take a secret to their grave?”
“I’ll just buy a wake up, tricking someone is not my thing.” She chuckled. “I wouldn’t call it depressing, it’s realistic. I mean, people’s feelings change quickly, what if they decide to betray your secret? It happens.”
lexa-goldman:
“That’s not all we do. It’s just a highlight,” Lexa answered, her lips pursing a little bit. “I mean, at least what we do is fun. Studying? Not so much. Not that I ever bothered much,” she added after a moment, a scoff of laughter leaving her lips. “Distracting? No, not what I was thinking. Irritating, maybe.”
“What else do you guys do? I am curious.” Bailey asked genuinely. “Learning new things is fun but to each their own.” She shrugged her shoulders. “It can be both I guess. I don’t find people’s presence that irritating, then again it depends on the person.”
