for those of you who werent here in 2016 on april fools that year the entire fucking website was transformed and there was an election for a position that wasnt even ever specified and the candidates were four lizards (or three lizards and a salamander as a scandal would later prove) and it was called decision2016

each lizard had their own 3d models and tumblr blog and campaign and there was also a tumblr blog dedicated to reporting on the election and they made like whole ass news broadcasts with a guy in front of a green screen

you could vote for your favorite candidate and there was a built-in function that let you make and post a campaign poster

My First homebrew. Always felt like a characters past should determine more about their present. Not too bad considering I haven’t touched D&D since they released 3.5.

Controversial opinion: I know ‘true love conquers all!’ and the like but people, you all need to start admitting you need to call some relationships quits when it comes to huge life decisions like children. If one of you really wants children and one of you absolutely doesn’t then the odds are it will not work out in the long run. I know, I know - ‘we have to make sacrifices for the people we love!’ but??? This isn’t something you can compromise over?

If you don’t have children and one of you really wants them, then that person is always going to wonder ‘what if?’ and likely regret it. Worse still, if one of you doesn’t want kids but you have one anyway to ‘compromise’ or make the partner who wants children happy, then not only will that person likely HATE being a parent/hold some resentment about it, but there will then be a small, innocent human being who will know they aren’t truly wanted by one half of their parental unit. Please. Don’t ‘have one’ as a compromise. Children shouldn’t exist for the sake of compromise. And I say this as someone who was a ‘one child as a compromise’ child; I KNEW my dad didn’t want kids. I felt it every day of my upbringing.

It’s not weak or ‘quitting’ to accept that two people can love each other but need to separate over very different life goals. You’re not breaking up over something petty. You both deserve to be happy, and sometimes it’s not possible together, even if you think you can make the ‘sacrifice’ for the sake of love.
