posting about being a "sensitive white boy" in 2026 just makes you sound like this
using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold
it would be so nice if you were allowed to start working on projects before you hit the 12 hour until deadline mark but sadly it’s not possible with our current technology. scientists are hard at work but for now this is one of the limitations we must face as a people
idk how to explain it but im never truly comfortable with the way people insinuate that all older folks are inherently bigoted. it always feels like it kind of hand-waves away personal responsibility like ohhhh grandpa cant help homophobic, hes old. well ive met plenty of older folks who are normal about gay people. i think grandpa could be better. i think we should hold grandpa to higher standards.
What do you mean “chat” is now referring to ChatGPT and not twitch chat? What? What? What the fuck? No?
When I address chat I am speaking to a presumed Greek chorus of real human people shitposting on their lunch break, not a machine that devours lakes to covert electricity into slop.
There is something deeply cruel about watching hope approach you from across the sea… only to have it taken away before it arrives. We looked at the aid boats as if they were carrying life itself, not just medicine or food. We imagined children surviving, sick people finally receiving treatment, and mothers being able to stop crying for even one night. But even this small hope has been denied to us. In Gaza, death is no longer the most painful thing… waiting for rescue that never comes is.
The hardest thing a human being can experience is feeling that the world sees their suffering clearly and still continues life as normal. Here, fathers stand helpless before their children’s hunger, mothers hide their tears so their little ones will not become more afraid, and the sick wait for medicine that may never arrive. Imagine baby formula becoming an impossible dream. Imagine hearing your child ask, “Are we going to survive?” while you have no answer to give.
Everything in Gaza has become exhausting to the soul. The fear, the hunger, the sounds of bombardment, the endless waiting, and the unbearable feeling that we have been abandoned. And yet we still try to hold on to life, not because we are strong as people think, but because our children still look at us as if we are their last source of safety. And that alone is enough to break a heart a thousand times every single day.
>Predominately Black led piece of media becomes popular.
>Among the characters there are one or two White characters with minor and/or distinctly antagonistic roles.
>White tumblr users focus entirely on said White characters.
>Tag of Black led piece of media is filled with posts about White character(s)
>Rinse. Repeat.
I think the most charitable interpretation of this is that people connect to characters that are like them, and that the experiences of Blackness is so alien to them that the White characters are the only ones that White people connect with. Combine that with the fact that Tumblr is so White as a platform, and you get this issue.
It’s still bad and racist, but it is understandable. People should still do better though. (I’m not trying to justify, I’m trying to come up with an explanation)
Please don’t make me say it.
We don't need you coming up with an charitable interpretation.

my favorite phenomenon on tiktok is when all the comments will line up and start doing the same bit
the ashtrays in airplane bathrooms are a fascinating harm reduction metaphor. yes it's illegal as hell to smoke in there. yes there's a smoke detector that will snitch on you the second you light up. so why is there an ashtray? because if there weren't, your single momentary dumbass crime could kill 300 people. it is fucking vital that if someone does have a lit cigarette on a plane, they have a place to safely put it out.
actually hate that the bodys response to anything is nausea. ate too much? nauseous. ate too little? nauseous. an imaginary threat got you scared? be nauseous. on your period? you guessed it. sawed into your hand and need to go to the emergency room? perhaps throwing up into your open wound will be of help
