Hello, this is a friendly psa from an unhappy person.

Not everyone likes to read. Not everyone can read. A lot of people struggle to read. However, just because they don’t or can’t read doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy a good story.

For example, I cannot read Jane Austin’s works. I’ve tried and tried but I can’t. However, the movie and play adaptations of her novels are some of my favorite stories.

I like Marvel movies and anime, but I cannot read manga/comic books/graphic novels. I don’t know why, just that it is difficult for me to do so.

I have dyslexic friends who have to struggle to read a few pages, let alone an entire novel, but they love movie adaptations.

If I were to go into a movie I was looking forward to seeing but never read the book and saw this it would probably ruin my entire day. Depending on my mood, I may even start a fight over it.

I remember accidentally ruining that Dumbledore dies to my brother and it devestated him because he didn’t want to be spoiled and was a slow reader so wasn’t there yet.

Please if anyone thinks this is a funny thing to do, realize that you may ruin someone’s day.
