I just think that “the matrix is revealed after the city it was buried within is killed and chooses the same oppressive force that destroyed it” is something that can be quite personal for someone who has been fighting for this to not happen. Which is why I think Hot Rod never wanted and never strived to be a prime… just a way to get away from all the things associated with Hot Rod. Nyon, his team, it doesn’t mean anything if he’s just Rodimus now. Which is why he dgaf abt being called a Prime

Optimus will always be more legend than man. I don’t think hot rod knew him before Earth and I don’t think Hot Rod was there for a really long time, not enough to know Optimus and absolutely not enough to demystify him in his mind. The chances that Rodimus got to know OP better in death than in Life through the Matrix are huge. He didn’t want this.

No more sleeping with my phone within reach because I was having an extremely vivid dream that I was the victim of some sort of mass-poisoning. the notorious poisoner? "The Centipede Cult." They used a specific type of poison, referred to only by its chemical nomenclature, which I somehow remembered perfectly upon waking. It went: □□ Na({}^{2})

Because that makes sense. Anyway, this poison would submit me to its well-known and much-feared symptom: "17 Day Paralysis" in which you're paralyzed for exactly 17 days and you only chance of survival is to be on full machine support for 17 days.

Just before the medical team intubated me I remembered I have a Zoom meeting with my academic advisor today (I actually do in real life) and I needed to email him to let him know I was the victim of a mass-poisoning and would need to reschedule.

I kept trying to type the "□" symbol in my dream but could not figure out how and gave up.

I woke up in real life to find I'd begun drafting an email in my sleep to my professor in the Gmail app. I was apparently using talk-to-text (I often do because of my hand neuropathy) but speaking in Irish, which talk-to-text never understands, so other than the words in English "poison" and "centipede" the entire email was complete nonsense.

weird question but I want to post more about my ocs on Tumblr, but I also want to turn their story into a proper comic one day once I'm skilled enough. Because of this I don't want to post too much information, since I want there to be some twists and surprises in the comic proper. How do you handle not revealing too much information for Idwtbamg, stuff that would be revealed in the hypothetical final show?

i feel like people worry about this a lot which is fair but also when stuff like the manga -> anime pipeline exists, i think it's safe to assume that even though people might know a spoiler or what's going to happen, they'll still be excited just to see the product in a different way and care more about the execution.

but on my end, whenever i post art focusing on the cast, i keep it more to character interactions and small worldbuilding things that i think are interesting and fun for people to know without giving away the larger story. i've found solace in the fact that my audience on twitter/tumblr is a fraction of the people that go and watch the show! i've been super up front about Zira being Aika's love interest and that this is a yuri series (which could be considered a spoiler) but most users on youtube have absolutely no idea that that's the case hahaha

so truly, don't be afraid to spoil but if that's something you wanna keep close to your chest, just drawing the characters interacting in small vignettes is always a fun way to show the tone of your comic on top of familiarizing your audience with the characters.

its details like these that sets earthspark above other tf shows to me. using alt mode accessories to expand upon a characters personality is so cute and SO good. alt modes tend to get less attention because i feel as humans we are not connected to vehicles in the same way we are to bipedal beings. i feel like a lot of designers see their vehicle modes as JUST vehicles, a tool to pull out when needed, but that’s not what an alt mode is to a transformer it still very much them and their bodies. they’d do things like this! i’ve used the word cute a lot but it ISS it’s a cute way to show how they start embracing earth and incorporating that into their presentation. it doesn’t say “no servos” it says “no hands” it’s a wink at humanity
