skin care is basically the new makeup industry and y’all are gonna fall for it all over again. stop wasting ur money on over priced products and treatments, everyones skin is different do your research and tailor your skincare to yourself and not to a certain brand. if you’re buying all your skincare from one brand you’re doing it wrong

otherwise let’s normalize skin being fucking skin that doesn’t need endlessly slathered in twenty different products daily

The main active ingredient in most skin care products is glycerin or petroleum jelly. The vast majority of everything else in them is just marketing and added scents. Sometimes added sunscreen. Lotion is just watered down moisturiser, you don’t need it.

If you have dry or itchy skin (the only reason to bother with moisturiser), the cheap department store moisturiser works just the same and sometimes better than the more expensive stuff. For cracked calluses, get you some petroleum jelly.

So. Soap, sunscreen, the most basic moisturiser and some petroleum jelly.

That’s it, you’re set for literally anything happening to your skin that doesn’t need first aid/actual medical intervention.

I never realized how much creativity and passion for creative expression was lingering inside me. I’ve let depression and negative self talk convince me that I’m not worthy of making anything creative, as if anything I pursue would be terrible just because I made it. Now I can tell myself that I don’t have to be amazing at anything, as long as it brings me joy! I want to dabble in photography, painting, music, all of that.
