Enligt artikeln försökte de även få honom att spela in ett samtal med dem utan att ge honom advokat och försökte få honom att tro att han inte behövde det. Sa att han ’inte behövde det om han inte hade någonting att dölja’. När han vägrade ringde de en överordnad och sa till dem (enligt aktivisten) ’han vet att han har rätt till advokat’.
Jag rekommenderar starkt att läsa hela artikeln men här är några delar som jag tyckte var intressanta:
När David undrade vad det handlade om fick han till slut höra att han inte var misstänkt för något brott, men ändå var frihetsberövad, berättar han.
Anledningen till att han fördes bort, fick han veta, var att han skulle tas med till samtal om sin rätt att vistas i Sverige. Polisen ställde frågor om hans vistelse i Sverige, boende, jobb – och hans aktivism. Först efter två timmar släpptes han.
David, 30, har bott i Sverige sedan i januari 2019, då han började på universitetet i Lund som doktorand. Han är tysk och ungersk medborgare, och är därmed EU-medborgare – det ger honom uppehållsrätt så länge som han studerar eller arbetar och kan försörja sig själv. Om man, som han gjort, har bott i Sverige i över fem år så får man permanent uppehållsrätt. Efter doktorsavhandlingen har David blivit anställd som forskningsingenjör, och köpt en bostadsrätt.
– Du är efterlyst, sade polisen till mig, och ringde till kollegor och sa: ”Jag har en som är intressant för er – David, miljökillen”.
– Jag berättar för dem att jag är EU-medborgare och har jobbat i Sverige i över fem år, och att jag därför har permanent uppehållsrätt. Det kommenterade de med att, ”Jo, men den rätten kan ju återkallas”.
Gränspoliserna uppger att han inte är misstänkt för något, enligt David Alcer, men för honom ändå med sig till gränspolisstationen vid Öresundsbron, där han blir inlåst i ett litet rum. Han ber om att få ha sin advokat närvarande, beskriver han, men nekas.
– Det kändes inte rättssäkert att varken ha advokat eller inspelning, dessutom i en situation där jag tagits av polisen utan anledning. Men de nekade även till det.
När han vägrar svara på frågorna utan sin advokat, går en av poliserna ut ur förhörsrummet och ringer till en överordnad, berättar David.
– Jag hör hur hon säger till sin chef: ”Han vet att han har rätt till advokat”. Det var intressant att hon indirekt bekräftade det, trots att hon hävdat motsatsen.
I en ny FN-rapport uppmanas världens stater att skydda människors rätt att försvara mänskliga rättigheter, som starkt hotas av klimatkrisen.
I mars fick Sverige besök av FN:s speciella rapportör för miljöförsvarare under Århuskonventionen, som kritiserar Sverige för en ökad repression mot klimataktivister.
If you really think about it there is SO much the film changed from the book, SO much they also left out, literally most of the film is actually different, yet it WORKS! There's not a single book fan I know of who doesn't love and adore the film, and that is practically unheard of!
I've got to agree. They're like two perfectly complementary pieces. They work well together or apart.
Possibly its that very little in the movie directly contradicts the book? Or at least nothing hugely consequential? So you can kinda slot in the book details into the movie? (I know it took me multiple watches to notice that a bunch of things just weren't in the movie - my mind had filled the gaps for me so well.)
You have to let your black queer friends know its ok to present as masculine.
You have to let the stud know that you don't see her as less of a woman. You have to let the transfem know you won't see her as a threat if she pauses in her performance for a moment. You have to let the transmasc know he won't be a threat in your eyes if he chooses black manhood. You have to let the black masc gay man that his presence is not a danger to everyone else, you have to let him know that he does not stick out, he is not unwelcome.
You have to let them all know, that their masculinity is not a threat to you. That they do not have to twist and warp themselves into a different version of themselves to be acceptably queer. To be 'safe'.

The 'ingredients you can pronounce means it's healthy' line implies a world in which the kind of nutrition a person requires scales with their biology education and grasp of phonics. Which isn't true, of course, but sure would imply some interesting worldbuilding if it were

Aroace culture is telling a friend you're aroace because you know they have a crush on you and then they later tell you they researched how to fix it, so after they leave you don't talk to them because now you're uncomfortable around them.
