The foundation. Me and my cousins, but more importantly my Mom, my aunties and uncles. AND even more, my Grandmother, GreatAunt and Great Uncle. Big Mama was born in 1899 and we were fortunate to have her with us into the 1990’s. Sure, she was a bit cranky at times. LOL. But Knowing her resolved our sense of purpose. A reminder that no matter what happens, ain’t NO STOPPING our family, or our people. I am a descendant of Sarah Cooke! (at Hollis, New York)
