What if the “I don’t know if Whitaker can handle my shit” or whatever line isn’t about house sitting. What if it’s about Robby setting him up to one day be an attending. There’s something pure about Whitaker that has yet to be tainted and Robby isn’t sure he can handle it the same way he thought his previous golden boy Langdon could.

Or you know maybe it is about house sitting bc Robby is obviously subconsciously looking for reasons to stay even though he wants so desperately to go. He’s given himself another excuse to remain not only at the Pitt but in the world. He’s pushing people away while still inserting himself into all of these perceived problems that really don’t have to mean anything to him if he did decide to never come back. He’s still reachable.

Would be so funny if the actual running gag for the Pitt is that in each season Whitaker gets offered a place to live rent free but it just keeps getting grander each season.

Season 1: a room

Season 2: a whole apartment

Season 3: 2 bedroom guest house

By like season 8 the pauper somehow sad eyed his way into a multi room mansion with an infinity pool.

Whitaker never spends a penny on rent for the entirety of the show

I need y’all to realize that DIRECTING an episode does not equal WRITING an episode. I love that Shawn Hatosy directed Ep. 9 but people are crediting him on the written interactions between characters that SHOULD actually be credited to Cynthia Adarkwa, a Ghanaian American woman. Who wrote episode 9. And the interactions you’re all loving and feeling devastated over.

I think Shawn did an amazing job and helped pull great performances out of the actors, but once again, those performances and dialogues were created and written by Cynthia Adarkwa and the writing team.

trinity santos is a study in fandom misogyny because they gave her all the characteristics fandoms usually salivate for in men, being gruff, quippy and misunderstood with a tragic backstory but a heart of gold beneath it all. they put all this into her AND let her be a lesbian. she's everything you could ever want in a character but she's not a man so half the fandom either hates her or constantly mischaracterizes her as petty, callous and aggressive while doing mental gymnastics to baby the male characters around her

Adrian is going to have an obsessive friendship with Economos!!! A new best buddy that seems to actually like him!

Like I actually think this relationship would work so well. John is used to nobody paying attention to him. Adrian is obsessed and calls him every day. Like we know from John questioning Leota that he has some insecurities about them all hanging out without him and the fact that Adrian makes sure to always call John every day and is the first person he thought of when he heard an owl? And John humored him? John laughing and pouring beer over Adrian? The soon to be forehead kiss? Like this might actually be good for both of them!

Also from the podcast: apparently James Gunn said he thought Adrian was the only character that wouldn’t ever grow but he wrote something for Adrian that even surprised him. So he’ll have a moment of growth! You love to see it
