You know what, I actually meant to draw Cheetor in a barista apron, because i drew Rodimus in a barista apron (not depicted here), but then I realized that his cheetah head is in the way, and so I just drew Cheetor x 2, lookin real friendly. Should I just draw a longer apron that would fit under the cheetah head? Should I give the cheetah a little maid cap? Wait why a maid cap, I’m not drawing him as a maid. Nevermind I think I answered my question.

Really hate that the queer community's response to the creation of a gender trinary (girl, boy, and nonbinary) was to... reinvent the binary. We just started grouping all genders into "masc/male-aligned" and "fem/female-aligned" and it's so fucking stupid. Even with the occasional allowance of "neutral/unaligned" it still maintains the binary as the standard. And then they don't let you use certain labels if you don't have the "right" gender alignment. The fuck.

Aaah, I remember watching this for the first time years ago during my animation course in 2014/15. IIRC we were watching it as a great example of storytelling without dialogue, sound design, and comedic timing. I still revisit it from time to time because it’s a great bit and wonderfully animated.
Here’s another one I rewatch at least several times a year that renders death into a punchline, albeit in an even cuter (but still kinda dark) way:

I'm not a psychology researcher, but my guess would be that the nature of it being a time-limited puzzle game where you have to juggle multiple factors means that your short-term memory gets filled and the traumatic images are "dumped" in favor of remembering how many times to rotate the L piece. "As soon as possible" is probably because the sooner you do it, the less likely it is to become part of your long-term memory.
If that is true, then other time-limited activities where you have to remember and plan in a tight time frame may serve a similar purpose.
