Anyone else ever fool themselves into thinking on some tiny level that you have a chance with your celebrity crush but deep down inside you know it'll never happen
Depression
Yesterday, someone asked me where all my dreams and aspirations went. I shouldâve told her that I quit college cause it made my anxiety worse and triggered my bipolar. I shouldâve told her my dreams and aspirations are dead like I wish I was. I have no hope for myself. Nothing I ever do will matter. Even though I wish I said these things. Iâll never say them to her.

Not to get all deep and shit, but do you ever realize how the men in your life set the tone for how you feel about everything involving them? Like when I hear my parents argue I realize I might be better off alone. Or why I feel attracted to more dominant men cause I want someone whose reliable and takes charge in order to keep me safe and provide me a decent life? Sometimes I really feel bad for the shit my mom has to deal with.
It's true. My father wasn't around. My mom raised me on her own and it makes me wonder if I'm better off alone to avoid that heartbreak. My ex was a lot like my father (asshole af) which lead to the Freudian concept that you go after people who are similar to your parents.

We are the last generation who can hear from these survivors directly. Do not take that lightly. Do not waste that opportunity. Do not forget your freedom isnât infinitely guarenteed. And do not, do not, let it happen again.
Really truly, watch the video, reblog it. Teaching about the holocaust is so necessary for our generation before it slips under the rug and people forget about it.

Dear Daddy
For 21 years, I wondered what was wrong with me and I was constantly trying to find out why you didnât want me. Eventually, I figured out I wasnât the issue, you were. You made me feel worthless and unwanted. To this day, I will never understand how you can look in the mirror and call yourself a man. How can you claim to love me but treat me like you hate me? You missed 18 years of my life and that time that we canât get back, itâs lost and itâs never coming back. This isnât about money or the money that you never spent. Itâs about the times that you forgot that I was your child. I know that this may be completely useless because youâll never understand how you not being there was at one point a loss. Youâll never think that you did anything wrong. Letting go of the past, has been anything but easy. To this day, I still struggle with it. You and my mom didnât get married but Iâm still your daughter. I think that youâve forgotten that.
You might blame my mom for my perception of you but she never spoke down upon your name. The most that was ever said in regards to you was asking how my day went after coming home from being around you. My perception of you came from you being the person that you are. You say that you were there for me as a child but the truth is, you werenât. I still remember being a little kid and you either threw me in front of a TV or gave me to your mother so that she could watch me. I remember you telling me that all I had to do was pick up a phone. I was so young, how was I supposed to know? The fact that you put the blame on me shows me what kind of person you really are. You donât take responsibility for your actions, you didnât then and Iâm sure that nothing has changed. You say that you were there but you really werenât. More than half of the time you couldnât even remember my birthday. You say that you love me, but how is that even possible if you donât even know me?
Your absence and delusions speak volumes and say so much about you. My thoughts of you were caused by you. You may not believe me but itâs the truth. The letter that you sent me for Valentines was unexpected and unwanted. You pretty much stated that you forgot all about me. I guess you only think of me when you feel guilty. I donât think Iâll ever forgive you for all the pain that youâve caused. Youâd think being your first born would have some meaning but to you, I always came last and that was something I began to expect from you. The only thing you ever did consistently was let me down. My volleyball game was a perfect example of it and the letter that you sent proves it too. You act like I need you in my life but the truth is that I donât and I never have. I have a mother and a grandfather that have given me all the love that they can. Theyâve seen me through the worst, so that I can become the best. You need to realize that Iâm going to be somebody and it wonât be because of you. Not once did you ask me about school or how my grades were. I had a 3.5 GPA and I graduated. I did it all without you. I can promise you that when I get married you wonât know. If I have kids, they wonât know about you nor will you ever meet them. You shouldâve done things right from the beginning and you shouldâve been there. Your absence made me hate you.
After 18 years, you suddenly decided you wanted to play father. You canât take back what we never had, so your efforts were useless. When I told you that I didnât want you at graduation you acted offended as though you didnât understand why. You werenât there for my struggles; there for you didnât deserve to be there for my success. You expected a get out of jail free card but life isnât a game and it doesnât work that way. I figured that you would understand that by now. You need to know that everything you do effects something or someone in some way and your choices made me resent you. Your choice to put everything at a higher priority than me, affected me in ways that you canât possibly understand. I have a hard time dating and letting people in because Iâm terrified theyâll be just like you. My trust issues stem from what you put me through. I know that this letter wonât help you because in your head, you believe that you did nothing wrong. The reality of it all is that you donât know me. You never made an attempt to get to know me when I was younger and I donât want to give you the time now. Any apology that you can muster is completely useless because your apologizes are filled with lies because deep down I know that youâre not sorry and I donât think you ever will be. For me, this letter is closure in hopes that you would see things through my perspective.
I know that your absence is for the better. Honestly the fact that youâre not here isnât what hurts, its not what bothers me. What really bothers me is that Iâll never get closure. I was your first child but that wasnât enough was it? How is it fair for you to tell your other kids lies about me. Iâll never know because of you. Theyâll never know who I really am. Theyâll only know the lies that you feed them. How do you think that makes me feel knowing that Iâll never be able to have a relationship with my siblings. I hope you feel like shit for everything youâve done. I never got to know why you did this. I will never know why you have such hate towards me. I didnât get a reason. It wasnât drugs nor was it alcohol it was all you so I donât get closure There will never be a case closed for me, Iâll never get the answers Iâm looking for so I have to deal with the pain and grief.
Net Neutrality
*THIS IS MY OWN PERSONAL THEORY* So Congress is gonna vote on this and if we're lucky, they'll vote to keep Net Neutrality. However, if they don't, this is going to quickly become the one of the largest lawsuits that the US has ever seen. I mean think about it, do you really believe the FCC gets to make some outrageous call and the American people and internet based companies are going to be okay with it? The answer is no. In fact, many states have already announced that they are getting ready for the legal battle that's coming. Now think about this, let's say that the legal battle comes and there is a good chance that it will. Chances are removing Net Neutrality will end up on a stay until courts make their decision and I have a feeling that this will get pushed all the way to the Supreme Court and if the Supreme Court deems the removal of Net Neutrality unconstitutional, believe me there of tons of reasons why it would be viewed as such, which in that case there is not shit that Congress or the FCC can do. So I'm hoping Congress saves Net Neutrality but if they don't, lets hope the Supreme Court does.

Angry / scared about the so-called âRestoring Internet Freedom Actâ? Hereâs something concrete you can do about it
Itâs an online solution that matters more than any mere petition. Go straight to the FCC and file a complaint. I just did it: you can too.
Hereâs how.
(1) Go to this URL:Â https://www.fcc.gov/ecfs/filings/express
Youâll get a form that looks like this:
(2) Type this number in the top box: 17-108
This brings up the docket number that youâre complaining about, the âRestoring Internet Freedom Actâ. (If you donât already know that this act is about killing net neutrality, and doesnât restore any freedoms except for big companies to effectively split the Internet up among them and charge you more to use it â not to mention making it harder, if not impossible, to see independent websites or ones that arenât part of corporate platforms â well, those are the essentials. The FCC is getting ready to submit this proposal to Congrees, and once there in its present form, the Republicans will happily pass it and the Net as we know it will be royally screwed, a dead system walking.)
Anyway, where were we? Once that docket number has settled into place, go down to the next box and type in your name. Make sure to hit the carriage return once your nameâs in so that it registers properly. (Iâve redacted some stuff in the above image, as well as my own statement, which I hope will raise a blister or two, but which you donât need to see.)
Go to the boxes below and type in your address and email address. Note that (as the form tells you) since youâre making a public complaint, your address will be part of the public record and accessible on the Internet if someone wants to go looking for it. if this is a problem for you, obviously this is where you stop and shut down the window, and call your senators and congressperson instead.
Otherwise, continue to fill out the form. In the comments box, say something clear along the lines of âI support Title 2 oversight of ISPs. Also, I support net neutrality and do not support the proposed changes to the present lawâ.
After that: If you want a confirmation of your submission by email, check the box that specifies that. Once youâre done with the form, hit the blue button that says âcontinue to review screenâ.
Youâll see your info and your comment again. Look them over, and if everythingâs OK, hit the âsubmitâ button and youâre done. (You can use either their back button or your browserâs if you want to change something.) Once submitted, a second or so later your confirmation will be in your email box if you asked for one.
Thatâs all you have to do. Please take a moment to do this if you can, as the effects on the internet if this thing gets through will be far-ranging, ugly, and expensive for you. Make your voice heard, and do it before Wednesday, when the FCC sits down to start making this thing law.
Also: please reblog this far and wide. Help get the news out to those whoâll complain, even if you donât want to or canât do it yourself.
Thanks, all!
