I like writing and all things fandom-related. I like to do silly little polls once or twice a week and when I have time, I write fanfics.
♡If you want to talk about any of my fandoms, just talk to me! I love that stuff!
♡Any hcs or takes you want me to do let me know and I will try to do them! I will do them for a lot of different fandoms, but specifically the ones related to the tags on this post.
♡I will probably not write much smut, but I will do hcs about it. I enjoy writing horror a lot, and also very fluffy content, so we'll see how they go!

(,,>﹏<,,) bring your kid to work day + nanami! ✦⋆💼.˚
“my love, are you absolutely sure about this?”
you giggle, turning from where you’d been preparing your daughter’s mini lunchbox so that you’re facing your husband. his face is taut, a subtle sense of worry set in his features.
“kento.” a small, exasperated smile plays on your lips. “she’ll be fine. besides, you know how excited she’s been about this — she’s been talking about it all week!”
“i know, but...what if she gets bored? or if she wants to go home midway through the day? you know i can’t exactly take her back whenever i please.” nanami tugs at his tie a little, smoothing down the edges absentmindedly: a nervous tell of his that you’ve grown accustomed to by now.
you lean back against the kitchen counter, raising an eyebrow.
“she literally clings to you every time you work from home,” you counter, rolling your eyes at the memory of her behaviour just last week. she’d followed him around all day, pacing back-and-forth alongside him and just barely avoiding tripping him up while he had been taking important business calls. you had tried to pry her away just long enough for your poor husband to finish at least one business call without any disruptions, but that only resulted in tears. a lot of them.
in fact, she’d cried for an hour after that, sulking in her father’s arms as he empathetically stroked her hair in an attempt to calm her down.
okay, so nanami supposes you may have a point, she’d probably be just fine at his workplace.
he rubs his temple, regrettably all out of arguments. instead, he gives in and chooses to finish packing his bag for work, shoulders lowering a fraction.
you both hear several loud, unceremonious stomps coming down the stairs, and you simultaneously turn to see your daughter reach the foot of the stairs, all ready for her day out. she has a huge grin plastered on her face, and her hair is in two neat pigtails — thanks to nanami of course — complete with two bright hair clips.
“i’m ready! let’s go!” she rushes to him and tugs at his leg, eyes wide and expression excited. she extends her arms in a silent plea to be carried, and who is your husband to deny his sweet daughter?
“see you after work!” you smile, pressing a quick kiss to your daughter’s nose and waving them both goodbye.
-
nanami leans back slightly from where he’s sat at his desk, staring at his computer screen and inspecting the values in the spreadsheet. it’s monotonous work, just about as boring as always — as should be expected of a 9-5 office job. unlike a typical work day, however, his desk has several colourful drawings scattered across its surface today. the first is a drawing of a flower, spirals of bright yellow crayon forming what he can only assume are the petals. alongside the flower picture are two other drawings: a drawing of a huge, wonky heart coloured in yellow, and then another sheet of paper with a drawing of a stick figure with blond hair, a serious expression drawn onto its round face.
averting his gaze from his desk, nanami moves to lift his breakfast (a pesto-mozzarella baguette) to his mouth, chewing slowly and watching his daughter doodle. she’s got her tongue stuck out as she scribbles in determined silence, her crayon in one hand and a chocolate chip muffin in the other.
the bakery workers had both worn a look of poorly-contained surprise upon hearing his order change from his usual baguette sandwich to both a baguette and a muffin this time. they’d always taken him as a man heavily rooted in routine, and so to see him stray away from what was typical of him was…odd.
“what are you drawing now, sweetheart?” nanami murmurs softly, watching her hunch over yet another sheet of paper, her grip firm on her crayon.
“me and papa at work!” she responds. he raises his eyebrows at that, a tiny, barely-perceptible smile crossing his features as he watches her join up the arms of the two stick figures so that they’re holding hands. she doesn’t lift her head from her drawing, too engrossed in adding his blond hair perfectly atop his head and drawing her own smile just right.
after about fifteen minutes or so, she’s done.
“tada! that’s papa, and that’s me!” she exclaims proudly, glancing up at nanami for approval and beaming when she sees him smile softly back at her. he strokes her hair, quiet for a moment before speaking.
“okay, now that you’ve finished your drawing, why don’t we take a break from playing so i can go get a coffee?”
“it’s not playing.” she corrects him, blinking up at him with solemn eyes. “i’m working, just like you do!” at that, your daughter puts a hand on her hip, looking up at her father with an unimpressed expression. while nanami’s not quite sure that he’d put gruelling office work on the same level as scribbling a few drawings, he decides it’s better not to debate on the matter.
“okay, i’m sorry, honey. let’s take a break from working and go get a coffee.”
“yay! okay!”
your daughter skips down the hall with him, speaking excitedly about her day as they approach the coffee machine.
“do you want to press the buttons for me?” he looks down at his daughter, and she nods excitedly. nanami carefully lifts her up, securing her in his arms so that she can reach the machine properly.
“an americano, please.” he places a mug under the machine before lifting a finger to point at the correct button. the four year old girl presses it with a tiny delighted giggle, clearly pleased with herself as coffee begins to pour out into the cup below.
“i want one too!”
“it may be a little too bitter for you, shall we get you a hot chocolate instead?”
that catches her attention. with an excited squeal, she agrees enthusiastically, turning to face the machine and trying to figure out which button to press. she hesitates, unsure which is the hot chocolate.
“that one, sweetheart.” nanami gently guides her finger to the right button and she turns her head to face him in awe as it pours out, eyes wide and surprised.
a couple of minutes later, your daughter skips back down the hall, nanami following close behind with two mugs in his hands, trying to match her pace while also making sure not to spill anything.
she slides happily into her seat next to his desk, tapping her hands on the tabletop expectantly as she waits for her father to put her mug down before pulling a sheet of paper and a crayon close to her.
“okay. now i’m in work mode! no distracting me, okay?” she blinks sternly up at him. she’s sat about as professionally as a four year old can be, her mug at her side and a stack of papers in front of her.
nonetheless, over the span of the next 5 or so minutes, your husband can’t help but notice one problem.
“is the hot chocolate too hot?” he asks gently, watching as his daughter reaches out for the drink a third time before quickly retracting her hands again.
“…mhm.” that earns a small, empathetic sigh from nanami.
“here, let me help.” he murmurs. gently, he lifts the mug to his lips and blows for a few minutes before taking a small sip.
“there. it should be fine now. try it.” she does so, meanwhile he brushes her hair away from her face tenderly.
“yeah! all better!” she shuts her eyes contentedly and takes the mug from his hands happily, kicking her legs back and forth in between excited sips.
after several minutes of being sat like that and sipping her drink, your daughter looks up from her hot chocolate to face nanami.
“i like working with papa!” she beams at him, showing off the mess of hot chocolate around her mouth and cheeks in the process.
nanami’s expression softens at those simple words.
“yeah, i like working with you too, sweetheart.”

I think I am officially Fandom Old. I am so worn out from the arguments on who's the top or the bottom (who cares), what is allowed to be written (anything you want, bejeebus), what is Problematic (I know, just tag it), what other people Should Do (they Should live their lives free of judgment). There isn't a Right Way to do things. Tag your stuff appropriately, don't read stuff you don't want to read, and leave other people (me) alone.
There is nothing quite like the freedom of having gone through all of the Discourse and come out the other side into the promised land of Not Giving A Fuck.
Satoru Gojo's life flashed before his eyes. He saw his old friends, whom he considered family. He saw smiles and joy, something his own life seemed to lack.
Nanami...Haibara...Riko...Suguru...
Then it went dark... nothing. His life was over. It was all done. At least his students were watching, right? They got to see their handsome teacher fight until he couldn't anymore. It was admirable, right? Heroic, even. He was the strongest sorcerer, and just like that, cut down by Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses.
It was weird... Everything was dark. He couldn't move or feel anything around him. His own body seemed to be missing. Is this what death is? Stuck in your own brain? You and your own thoughts for eternity? If so, this must be hell.
...
What felt like days was probably just a few minutes, maybe even a few seconds. Satoru thought he felt..warmth? The type of warmth you feel on a summer night, around the fire with your friends. The warmth started to move about, like it flowing through and around him. Engulfing him entirely, slowly. It was peaceful, if only for a moment.
His ears picked up a noise, although muffled, it sounded like a voice. Was it his own imagination? The "voice" was higher pitched, feminine, maybe? The "person," if it was another person, was speaking quickly and frantically. Obviously they a bit panicked about something, but Satoru couldn't figure out what it could be. He tried to strain his hearing, trying his best to catch even a distinct word in the muffled noise.
That's what Satoru could make out, at least. He was definitely trying, despite his dying and all.
That was when the warmth was almost hot, and the noise was almost deafening. It was getting too much to bear, and he started squirm in the dark void, almost like he was falling into quicksand and desperately clawing his way out.
Then his eyes shot open. Was he alive?
He saw trees, the night sky, stars. He heard crickets chirping and the sound of water running nearby. Sounds He missed so dearly, sounds he didn't know he would miss so much.
His vision came into view. He still felt paralyzed, but he could move his fingers. He moved his fingers around him, feeling something soft and yet prickly at the same time. Tickling the palms of his large hands. Grass?
He took a deep breath, focus...focus...focus...
He felt something warm in his shoulder, his eyes darted to his left.
Who the hecking hell was that?!
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was late one summer night, fireflies were flying around the park, and you could hear the faint sound of water running through the fountain in the center of the park. It was warm, but not humid. The perfect night to sleep peacefully under the stars.
But not for her...
She walked around aimlessly around the park. It was a safe park, do not worry. She took in the sights, the maple trees, the oak trees, the pine trees. The chirping of crickets and the sounds of nature all around her. She felt her heart ache was particularly rough that day, feelings of depression and thoughts of deep anxiety. It was hard sometimes, but she had her ways of coping.
She liked watching her little shows, playing her little video games. Reading and writing, painting and cooking. She had many hobbies and hoped to gain more as the years soon come and go.
It was going to be getting dark soon. The stars were slowly making their way deep into their space in the night sky. She thought the stars seemed brighter tonight, almost hopeful in a way. She smiled thinking of the future, hoping that would maybe someday get better.
A few minutes went by as she stared into the darkness of the moon. She decided to make her way back home to her little apartment, just big enough to reflect the cheap rent she paid each month.
She wondered what she was gonna go when she got back. Maybe cook something yummy? She already baked a batch of cookies, so maybe snack on a few of those while she watched her favorite anime?
She smiled widely, thinking of her favorite series. Over the years, she had almost the entire manga, some figurines, some merch, and some posters. Some of her friends thought it was a bit much, but it wasn't she didn't appreciate each item she had owned. Plus, it was her favorite anime, Jujutsu Kaisen...
She had figurines and merch of all her favorite characters, Choso, Nanami Kento, Yuta Okkotsu, and of course Satoru-
She stopped.
Her eyes flickered, straining to see what was off in the distance. It looked like a couple of small sparks of light, almost as if a million fireflies danced amongst themselves. The sparks were golden, quick, like sparks flying off an anvil. Her eyes widened, and her pupils grew darker in awe.
Should she step closer? Probably not. Should she leave? Probably. Did she? She wanted to, but her feet moved forward. Her body behind a tree, looking around it, as if it would actually protect her. The lights moved faster and settled closer to the dark green grass, creating a long body shaped...shape.
Her eyes brows fused to together as she looked down at them...then she saw it..white hair.
Her eyes widened, and she gasped, seeing an actual body on the ground as the lights flickered off. It was a man.
In that moment, her mind wasn't moving as fast as her body. She took a step forward, like she knew who it was before she could process what just happened. It looked like...no.
It couldn't be...him, could it?
No... no!
She stepped closer, getting a better look at him. White hair, handsome features, muscular but lean build, and about 6'3 height... but it couldn't be him. Her long time, favorite fictional character was just... here?!
Once her brain caught up with her body, she froze.
Then, after a moment.
She knelt down as she looked over his body. Small rips in his clothes, dried blood on his face, hands, and in his white hair. His shirt was especially torn around his torso, right where the hem of his shirt met his pants.
She gulped slightly, feeling a mix of pain and fear for him before she started to speak. She tried to keep her voice steady, but what came out was anything but.
"I.. wait..what am I doing? Is this...Satoru Gojo? Um.. please...I- I don't even know what to say - asking if you need help feels stupid and pointless... Do you want help up? Can you get up? Will uou just fall again? I feel so stupid right now. I- I... am I panicking? I think I'm panicking -"
She reached a hand out, as she was going to gently check his heart rate. Then suddenly-
His eyes opened.
She held her hand back as he looked up. Did he see her? Should she run away? His fingers barely moved, but she caught it due to the stillness of the moment.
She slowly placed a hand near his shoulder.
His eyes darted to her...wide and almost crazed.
She froze, too scared to move or even let out a gasp.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru was...alive?
He looked at her, her hand frozen on his bicep. He felt his muscles flex under her fingertips. Her hand was warm, like a hot bath on a sore body after a workout.
Suddenly, he sat up, her hand falling off his shoulder and landing at her side limp. His body shook slightly as he looked at her. His chest moved deeply as if he had not had a breath of fresh air in years. To him, he felt like he hadn't. His eyes moved over her. Her small, short breaths, how her hair moved, how her eyes widened in curiosity and fear. And how her mouth sat at a small "o" shape.
"Who...are you?" He asked finally, voice raspy. "And more importantly, where. Am. I?" He asked. His body tensed up as he waited for her to respond.
She gasped softly, her eyes widened as she looked at him in a mix of awe and caution.
"I- I um- you're...you're here?" Was all she could muster. She was internally hitting herself for the flabbergasted response.
"Here?" He asked, an eyebrow arched at her. He definitely thought she was an idiot now.
"S-sorry...I'm *blank*. And um... you're uh..in America?"
"America?"
"The United States, yes."
"America.... wow..." he muttered. As if that was the weirdest part of the whole situation. She finally found her voice and spoke up.
"You're Satoru Gojo..." she said. Great, now he thinks I'm crazy. He couldn't help but smirk slightly.
"Yeah, I am. But I am definitely more curious about how you know who I am..." he leaned closer, almost like he was inspecting her.
"W-what are yo-"
"Calm down, I'm checking for cursed energy. Which you seem to be lacking a lot of. Interesting. Usually, only sorcerers know the name Satoru Gojo." He muttered, almost to himself. His face was just inches away from hers. She felt her checks warm slightly.
"I-" She tried to speak, but he stopped her.
"This whole park is lacking cursed energy as well, which is odd. America is a very depressing place. This park should be filled with tiny grade fours."
"It's -" she waited a second to see if he would interrupt her this time, and he didn't. She sighs softly and leans a bit away from him.
"It's because we don't have any cursed energy, or curses here."
"What?" He laughed slightly. Getting up onto his feet. He wobbled a bit before he was able to steady himself. His strong arms pulled her up to her feet as well, and he leaned in a bit closer.
"No curses? That's odd. Why not? Hm?"
"B-because they're... they're not..real"
He froze for a second. Then two. Looking at her like she just said the sky was orange. Then he laughed. Right in her face.
"N-not real?! What is this some type of sick joke?" His mouth was laughing, but his eyes were sharp, humorless.
"Don't make me laugh with your 'curses aren't real' bullshit." His voice was venomous, not necessarily directed at her, but the entire narrative. He leaned closer to her side, close to her ear, so she could hear him clearly.
"I've fought monsters darker than the night sky, I've fought curses stronger than the sun. I've fought curses your little mind couldn't even comprehend. And I've won. I've fought the King of Curses and I-" he stopped... freezing. He leaned back from her, still gripping her shoulder with one hand. The other reached down towards his torso.
"My...body...wait-" his blue eyes widened in a panic. He touched his face, feeling the crust of dried blood. He looked down at the scars that now littered his arms. All at once, his memories rushed into his brain like a flood. His fight, his life, his death....
He stumbled back. His hold on her shoulder tightened slightly, causing her to stumble into him.
He stood there...frozen for a minute, the two, then five.
She started to speak, carefully.
"I- I- I'm sorry, Satoru Gojo..." her voice soft and low, keeping her tone light and empathetic. Her eyes met his, her mouth was made into a small pout, frowning at him.
"You don't even know me. Why do you-" she stopped him.
"I know you... in a way..." she winced at her words. Definitely not the time to spring the rest of the information on him.
"....What? What does that mean?" His voice was calm, but she could tell he was upset.
"Don't worry, forget I said anything -" he suddenly held her hands, pulling her closer to him.
"I just died. I think i deserve to know where I am, who you are, how you know me, and more importantly, why I'm here." I expect answers."
She gulped.
"...promise you won't freak out." She winced at her cliché wording. What? Was she in a fanfiction or something?
"After the... time I've had, I would believe you if you said unicorns were real. Tell. Me. Now."
"You're...inadifferentuniverse" she muttered all at once.
"What?"
"You're...in a different universe. Reality. World. Here, there are no curses, no jujutsu sorcerers, no Sukuna or Kenjaku, or anyone else like that."
He paused, then took a deep breath.
"That explains the lack of cursed energy. But wait. If there aren't any curses here, how do you know about all this?" He asked, suspicious of her now.
"Well...promise you won't freak out okay?"
He rolled his eyes, frustrated already.
"I won't. Just tell me, and if you're lying to me. I'll know. No pressure." He smiled, but his smile didn't reach his eyes.
"Well...in this universe... you're a..um...fictional character."
~~~~~~~~~
He walked into her small apartment. The place consisted of just three rooms. A small kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room that also functioned as her bedroom. Her bed was off to the side of the room, next to it, a small desk and chair. Then, on the other side of the room was a love seat couch. The walls were covered in posters of him and the other "characters." Along with some random art. Her desk shelf has a few figures that looked familiar as well. On the table was a small stack of books labeled "Jujutsu Kaisen."
Satoru couldn't believe it.
He had laughed in her face. Called her a liar and a loser. Said she was delusional, crazy even. But he was wrong. In this world, he really was just a fictional character.
Satoru took a moment to think. He was a fictional character, someone who had fans all over the world, young and old. All around her place was just...him. He couldn't believe someone to genuinely like him this much. He knew he was handsome, funny, charming, strong, smart, and honestly he could go on forever. But this? This level of admiration?
His mind was trying to catch up with the idea that his entire life was a piece of media. His birth, his friends, his students, his death. It was all just... entertainment?
"I...I know it's a lot, but -" he interrupted her, again.
"Why is there so much of me?" He asked, his voice a good mix of astonishment and almost amusement. "Am I your favorite?" He grinned. Actually grinned a little. Fuck him and his huge head.
"I- well-, I guess you could say that. But I do really like Yuta Okkotsu a lot, too....and a few other characters..." she mumbled sheepishly. Obviously embarrassed by her cute collection. She had never felt so excited and yet anxious in her life.
"Oh? I'm not your favorite? Right, and you just have 4 little figurines of me and posters for no reason, then." He hummed, obviously amused. It doesn't seem to matter what happens to Satoru. He's still a cocky asshole.
She sighed at him, almost too loud and dramatic for the situation. "Anyway..."
She paused for a moment, looking at him carefully. "You still have dried blood on your face." She gulped slightly, not wanting to overstep his boundaries. The playfulness in his eyes fell, as he remembered again what he had experienced.
"....yeah, I do." He said, forcing himself to touch his chin and jaw again. Dried blood chipped off like a bad paint job, making him wince internally.
"You're...going to irritate your skin doing that. Let me clean it up, okay?"
He stiffened. She wanted to help clean him up?
"I can do it myself, you know."
"I know. But, you- just let me okay?"
"Fine..." he sighed, sitting on her small love seat couch before she could even say anything.
After grabbing a wet towel and some gentle soap, she pulled her desk chair close to face him. Her hand reached up, almost holding his jaw, as she gently tipped back his head.
"Lemme see..." her voice in a low whisper. She took the washcloth and carefully scrubbed off the dried blood. Her hands were shaky, and her breath was hollow. She was internally screaming
He's so close! He's so close! Satoru Gojo is in my living room, and he's letting me touch his face!
"You're thinking too loud." He muttered.
"Am I? Sorry... I just never thought I would ever...ya know..." she trailed off, trying to concentrate on the task at hand.
"Never thought you'd meet such a handsome guy like me, eh?" He tried to joke. But they both knew the reality of the situation.
"Something like that..." she started to speak, mumbling softly. "I've joked about this to friends before... meeting you. It's just... I don't even know what to think, if I can be honest."
He raised an eyebrow at her as she carefully moved his head to the opposite side.
"You've imagined this moment before. Weirdo." He hummed lightly, almost a tease. She smiled, half embarrassed, half happy they were talking to easily.
"Just be happy its me who found you. One of my friends knows of you too, and she used to joke that if you became real, she would beat you up." She wasn't sure why she was telling him this, but she was glad she did. Satoru laughed, a genuine laugh.
"Oh? Can she even fight?"
"I would say that she would be very motivated."
"Sure, sure..." he smirked at the idea, causing her face to warm up a bit. She decided not to say anything else as to not embarrass herself further.
"Almost done... Do you feel okay?" She asked after a few minutes.
"Hmm.." he hummed.
They sat in silence for a moment, the AC clicking on, causing a quiet 'vhmm' to vibrate through the room.
"Would you like to eat something? Maybe shower? I only got "girly" products, but you are more than welcome to use my stuff..." she smiled kindly at him.
"...Yeah, I'll do that..."
He got up, walking towards the bathroom. It was pretty obvious where it was considering the small apartment.
"I'll get you some towels. And I know you're pretty tall, but I might have a shirt and some sweatpants for you to borrow. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, sure. Thanks."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru sat at her small table in the corner of her kitchen. It was only big enough for two people normally, but Satoru was a big man. So he felt a little cramped. Satoru, before he died, in his universe was rich. Beyond rich. He could buy her entire apartment complex, tear it down, and build a mansion in its place while barely making a dent in his back account.
But now? He was in a tiny apartment eating soup from a chipped bowl. How quickly can things change, huh?
He played with the chunks of veggies that floated in the broth, watching them move from one side of the bowl to the other. It was good soup, chicken or something, he wasn't sure exactly, but it was good. She sat down across from him, with a big mug filled with soup.
"I only had one bowl because it's usually just me eating," she said, smiling softly. "I hope it's okay, I know it's a day old, but soup lasts a while, yeah?"
"It's good. Thank you." He mumbled, his hair slightly damp still from his shower. He smelled like a flower shop threw up on him. A mix of sweet, floral scents. Roses, maybe? Or lavender? He wasn't an expert on women's body wash.
His mind felt heavier than before as he ate another bite. His eyes twitched as he tapped his foot under her table. Satoru's mind started to finally catch up with the fact that he was... not anywhere close to home.
Satoru looked at her. Her eyes cast down at her mug. He tilted his head slightly, looking at the way her hair fell. How her hand held her spoon. The way she took a small sip of the broth, it was so human
"Why are you helping me? I know you said you're a fan, but even then. Why? It makes no sense to me." He looked down, taking another bite.
She looked up at him, eyes wide. She blinked at him before speaking.
"Because you needed help. I wanted to help you. I know your life pretty well and- well...yeah."
"That can't be all." He said, searching her eyes while squinting his own. Her face showed no malice, no ill intent. Her eyes had sparks of kindness, maybe. Although Satoru wasn't too familiar with that look.
"It is... trust me, okay?"
"Okay." He nodded at her, his eyes fluttering again.
A few minutes passed, they both had finished eating, and she while doing their dishes quickly before bed. The small space was quiet, almost peaceful. Satoru looked around her space. Pictures if him were almost everywhere. Figures of her shelves seemed to almost mock him, taunting the fact that his life was fake.
"Why do you like me so much, anyway?" He tried to make it sound lighter than the question actually was. She finished up washing the bowl and spoons and looked at him. Face blushed slightly, almost from embarrassment.
"Well, you're..strong. you're super cool, you're smart and fast, and of course kind. You're a good man, if not a little... weird sometimes."
"A "good man," huh?" He hummed, thinking. "And not a word about my absolutely gorgeous face? My muscles? My voice?" He smirked, happy that the teasing came more naturally this time. He was even happier about her reaction. This is why he loved to tease.
"Well- yes... but! That's not all of it. I still think you're super cool..." she trailed off, grumbling under her breath softly. He laughed, just a little.
"What, you embarrassed? Little old you all stumbling over their words... It's almost cute like a kitten." He teased, grinning widely.
She sighed, pretending to be annoyed. But she couldn't help but smile. That's the Satoru Gojo she always dreamed of meeting. The one grinning at her, teasing and batting around her emotions like a cat with a mouse. It was annoying, sure. And it would probably get tiring pretty fast, but this was so much better than the sad Gojo who ate his soup without a word.
"What? You flustered now?"
"No." She answered, too quickly. Somehow, his grin grew wider.
"You're fun to tease. You react all surprised and yet, not surprised at all."
"My friends tease me a lot. So I'm used to it. But I can tease back too... just you wait." She smiled widely, almost smugly. His blue eyes widened in amusement.
"Oh, ho ho! I'll be waiting for that, then."
He looked down at her ground as she giggled. He was kind of enjoying her company. A lot. Although he would probably never say it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru sat on her couch, wondering how he was supposed to sleep on that thing. He was a big man. Taller than most men, so he had not idea how he could sleep on such a tiny thing.
"Oh.. you're not sleeping on the love seat." She could read his mind, how? He wondered. Although his confusion and sleepy expression probably gave it away.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, you're on my bed. If that's fine. It should be more comfortable for you." She smiled, eyes brightened for a moment. "I just saved up a few months to get an awesome bed frame! It should feel better than my couch, and definitely the floor."
He could see the excitement on her face, and it warmed his heart just a tiny bit. She was so enthusiastic about a mattress frame. Wow. Was she sleeping with a bare mattress on he floor. He winced, imagining her back problems.
"I got a few spare blankets, and lucky you. I just cleaned my sheets yesterday. So they're pretty clean..."
"Thank you. But are you sure? Don't you wsnt your beauty rest or something?" He asked. Feeling almost bad for how much he wanted to just lay down and sleep. She shook her head and waved a hand at him.
"Trust me, it's the least I can do for you. Now, do you need anything before I go to bed? Well, I guess I am two feet away from you, but still." She joked.
"No, I think I'm okay. And...thank you again." His voice was sincere. Her eyes soften.
"Of course. Now come on. Snuggle up, I'll turn off the lights."
He let himself fall down onto her pillow. Her sheets warm and snug around his worn-out body. His muscles seemed to melt into the blankets. And soon enough, he was asleep.
I hope you liked this, I might be making a part two? If not, oh well!
Satoru Gojo's life flashed before his eyes. He saw his old friends, whom he considered family. He saw smiles and joy, something his own life seemed to lack.
Nanami...Haibara...Riko...Suguru...
Then it went dark... nothing. His life was over. It was all done. At least his students were watching, right? They got to see their handsome teacher fight until he couldn't anymore. It was admirable, right? Heroic, even. He was the strongest sorcerer, and just like that, cut down by Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses.
It was weird... Everything was dark. He couldn't move or feel anything around him. His own body seemed to be missing. Is this what death is? Stuck in your own brain? You and your own thoughts for eternity? If so, this must be hell.
...
What felt like days was probably just a few minutes, maybe even a few seconds. Satoru thought he felt..warmth? The type of warmth you feel on a summer night, around the fire with your friends. The warmth started to move about, like it flowing through and around him. Engulfing him entirely, slowly. It was peaceful, if only for a moment.
His ears picked up a noise, although muffled, it sounded like a voice. Was it his own imagination? The "voice" was higher pitched, feminine, maybe? The "person," if it was another person, was speaking quickly and frantically. Obviously they a bit panicked about something, but Satoru couldn't figure out what it could be. He tried to strain his hearing, trying his best to catch even a distinct word in the muffled noise.
That's what Satoru could make out, at least. He was definitely trying, despite his dying and all.
That was when the warmth was almost hot, and the noise was almost deafening. It was getting too much to bear, and he started squirm in the dark void, almost like he was falling into quicksand and desperately clawing his way out.
Then his eyes shot open. Was he alive?
He saw trees, the night sky, stars. He heard crickets chirping and the sound of water running nearby. Sounds He missed so dearly, sounds he didn't know he would miss so much.
His vision came into view. He still felt paralyzed, but he could move his fingers. He moved his fingers around him, feeling something soft and yet prickly at the same time. Tickling the palms of his large hands. Grass?
He took a deep breath, focus...focus...focus...
He felt something warm in his shoulder, his eyes darted to his left.
Who the hecking hell was that?!
~~~~~~~~~~~
It was late one summer night, fireflies were flying around the park, and you could hear the faint sound of water running through the fountain in the center of the park. It was warm, but not humid. The perfect night to sleep peacefully under the stars.
But not for her...
She walked around aimlessly around the park. It was a safe park, do not worry. She took in the sights, the maple trees, the oak trees, the pine trees. The chirping of crickets and the sounds of nature all around her. She felt her heart ache was particularly rough that day, feelings of depression and thoughts of deep anxiety. It was hard sometimes, but she had her ways of coping.
She liked watching her little shows, playing her little video games. Reading and writing, painting and cooking. She had many hobbies and hoped to gain more as the years soon come and go.
It was going to be getting dark soon. The stars were slowly making their way deep into their space in the night sky. She thought the stars seemed brighter tonight, almost hopeful in a way. She smiled thinking of the future, hoping that would maybe someday get better.
A few minutes went by as she stared into the darkness of the moon. She decided to make her way back home to her little apartment, just big enough to reflect the cheap rent she paid each month.
She wondered what she was gonna go when she got back. Maybe cook something yummy? She already baked a batch of cookies, so maybe snack on a few of those while she watched her favorite anime?
She smiled widely, thinking of her favorite series. Over the years, she had almost the entire manga, some figurines, some merch, and some posters. Some of her friends thought it was a bit much, but it wasn't she didn't appreciate each item she had owned. Plus, it was her favorite anime, Jujutsu Kaisen...
She had figurines and merch of all her favorite characters, Choso, Nanami Kento, Yuta Okkotsu, and of course Satoru-
She stopped.
Her eyes flickered, straining to see what was off in the distance. It looked like a couple of small sparks of light, almost as if a million fireflies danced amongst themselves. The sparks were golden, quick, like sparks flying off an anvil. Her eyes widened, and her pupils grew darker in awe.
Should she step closer? Probably not. Should she leave? Probably. Did she? She wanted to, but her feet moved forward. Her body behind a tree, looking around it, as if it would actually protect her. The lights moved faster and settled closer to the dark green grass, creating a long body shaped...shape.
Her eyes brows fused to together as she looked down at them...then she saw it..white hair.
Her eyes widened, and she gasped, seeing an actual body on the ground as the lights flickered off. It was a man.
In that moment, her mind wasn't moving as fast as her body. She took a step forward, like she knew who it was before she could process what just happened. It looked like...no.
It couldn't be...him, could it?
No... no!
She stepped closer, getting a better look at him. White hair, handsome features, muscular but lean build, and about 6'3 height... but it couldn't be him. Her long time, favorite fictional character was just... here?!
Once her brain caught up with her body, she froze.
Then, after a moment.
She knelt down as she looked over his body. Small rips in his clothes, dried blood on his face, hands, and in his white hair. His shirt was especially torn around his torso, right where the hem of his shirt met his pants.
She gulped slightly, feeling a mix of pain and fear for him before she started to speak. She tried to keep her voice steady, but what came out was anything but.
"I.. wait..what am I doing? Is this...Satoru Gojo? Um.. please...I- I don't even know what to say - asking if you need help feels stupid and pointless... Do you want help up? Can you get up? Will uou just fall again? I feel so stupid right now. I- I... am I panicking? I think I'm panicking -"
She reached a hand out, as she was going to gently check his heart rate. Then suddenly-
His eyes opened.
She held her hand back as he looked up. Did he see her? Should she run away? His fingers barely moved, but she caught it due to the stillness of the moment.
She slowly placed a hand near his shoulder.
His eyes darted to her...wide and almost crazed.
She froze, too scared to move or even let out a gasp.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru was...alive?
He looked at her, her hand frozen on his bicep. He felt his muscles flex under her fingertips. Her hand was warm, like a hot bath on a sore body after a workout.
Suddenly, he sat up, her hand falling off his shoulder and landing at her side limp. His body shook slightly as he looked at her. His chest moved deeply as if he had not had a breath of fresh air in years. To him, he felt like he hadn't. His eyes moved over her. Her small, short breaths, how her hair moved, how her eyes widened in curiosity and fear. And how her mouth sat at a small "o" shape.
"Who...are you?" He asked finally, voice raspy. "And more importantly, where. Am. I?" He asked. His body tensed up as he waited for her to respond.
She gasped softly, her eyes widened as she looked at him in a mix of awe and caution.
"I- I um- you're...you're here?" Was all she could muster. She was internally hitting herself for the flabbergasted response.
"Here?" He asked, an eyebrow arched at her. He definitely thought she was an idiot now.
"S-sorry...I'm *blank*. And um... you're uh..in America?"
"America?"
"The United States, yes."
"America.... wow..." he muttered. As if that was the weirdest part of the whole situation. She finally found her voice and spoke up.
"You're Satoru Gojo..." she said. Great, now he thinks I'm crazy. He couldn't help but smirk slightly.
"Yeah, I am. But I am definitely more curious about how you know who I am..." he leaned closer, almost like he was inspecting her.
"W-what are yo-"
"Calm down, I'm checking for cursed energy. Which you seem to be lacking a lot of. Interesting. Usually, only sorcerers know the name Satoru Gojo." He muttered, almost to himself. His face was just inches away from hers. She felt her checks warm slightly.
"I-" She tried to speak, but he stopped her.
"This whole park is lacking cursed energy as well, which is odd. America is a very depressing place. This park should be filled with tiny grade fours."
"It's -" she waited a second to see if he would interrupt her this time, and he didn't. She sighs softly and leans a bit away from him.
"It's because we don't have any cursed energy, or curses here."
"What?" He laughed slightly. Getting up onto his feet. He wobbled a bit before he was able to steady himself. His strong arms pulled her up to her feet as well, and he leaned in a bit closer.
"No curses? That's odd. Why not? Hm?"
"B-because they're... they're not..real"
He froze for a second. Then two. Looking at her like she just said the sky was orange. Then he laughed. Right in her face.
"N-not real?! What is this some type of sick joke?" His mouth was laughing, but his eyes were sharp, humorless.
"Don't make me laugh with your 'curses aren't real' bullshit." His voice was venomous, not necessarily directed at her, but the entire narrative. He leaned closer to her side, close to her ear, so she could hear him clearly.
"I've fought monsters darker than the night sky, I've fought curses stronger than the sun. I've fought curses your little mind couldn't even comprehend. And I've won. I've fought the King of Curses and I-" he stopped... freezing. He leaned back from her, still gripping her shoulder with one hand. The other reached down towards his torso.
"My...body...wait-" his blue eyes widened in a panic. He touched his face, feeling the crust of dried blood. He looked down at the scars that now littered his arms. All at once, his memories rushed into his brain like a flood. His fight, his life, his death....
He stumbled back. His hold on her shoulder tightened slightly, causing her to stumble into him.
He stood there...frozen for a minute, the two, then five.
She started to speak, carefully.
"I- I- I'm sorry, Satoru Gojo..." her voice soft and low, keeping her tone light and empathetic. Her eyes met his, her mouth was made into a small pout, frowning at him.
"You don't even know me. Why do you-" she stopped him.
"I know you... in a way..." she winced at her words. Definitely not the time to spring the rest of the information on him.
"....What? What does that mean?" His voice was calm, but she could tell he was upset.
"Don't worry, forget I said anything -" he suddenly held her hands, pulling her closer to him.
"I just died. I think i deserve to know where I am, who you are, how you know me, and more importantly, why I'm here." I expect answers."
She gulped.
"...promise you won't freak out." She winced at her cliché wording. What? Was she in a fanfiction or something?
"After the... time I've had, I would believe you if you said unicorns were real. Tell. Me. Now."
"You're...inadifferentuniverse" she muttered all at once.
"What?"
"You're...in a different universe. Reality. World. Here, there are no curses, no jujutsu sorcerers, no Sukuna or Kenjaku, or anyone else like that."
He paused, then took a deep breath.
"That explains the lack of cursed energy. But wait. If there aren't any curses here, how do you know about all this?" He asked, suspicious of her now.
"Well...promise you won't freak out okay?"
He rolled his eyes, frustrated already.
"I won't. Just tell me, and if you're lying to me. I'll know. No pressure." He smiled, but his smile didn't reach his eyes.
"Well...in this universe... you're a..um...fictional character."
~~~~~~~~~
He walked into her small apartment. The place consisted of just three rooms. A small kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room that also functioned as her bedroom. Her bed was off to the side of the room, next to it, a small desk and chair. Then, on the other side of the room was a love seat couch. The walls were covered in posters of him and the other "characters." Along with some random art. Her desk shelf has a few figures that looked familiar as well. On the table was a small stack of books labeled "Jujutsu Kaisen."
Satoru couldn't believe it.
He had laughed in her face. Called her a liar and a loser. Said she was delusional, crazy even. But he was wrong. In this world, he really was just a fictional character.
Satoru took a moment to think. He was a fictional character, someone who had fans all over the world, young and old. All around her place was just...him. He couldn't believe someone to genuinely like him this much. He knew he was handsome, funny, charming, strong, smart, and honestly he could go on forever. But this? This level of admiration?
His mind was trying to catch up with the idea that his entire life was a piece of media. His birth, his friends, his students, his death. It was all just... entertainment?
"I...I know it's a lot, but -" he interrupted her, again.
"Why is there so much of me?" He asked, his voice a good mix of astonishment and almost amusement. "Am I your favorite?" He grinned. Actually grinned a little. Fuck him and his huge head.
"I- well-, I guess you could say that. But I do really like Yuta Okkotsu a lot, too....and a few other characters..." she mumbled sheepishly. Obviously embarrassed by her cute collection. She had never felt so excited and yet anxious in her life.
"Oh? I'm not your favorite? Right, and you just have 4 little figurines of me and posters for no reason, then." He hummed, obviously amused. It doesn't seem to matter what happens to Satoru. He's still a cocky asshole.
She sighed at him, almost too loud and dramatic for the situation. "Anyway..."
She paused for a moment, looking at him carefully. "You still have dried blood on your face." She gulped slightly, not wanting to overstep his boundaries. The playfulness in his eyes fell, as he remembered again what he had experienced.
"....yeah, I do." He said, forcing himself to touch his chin and jaw again. Dried blood chipped off like a bad paint job, making him wince internally.
"You're...going to irritate your skin doing that. Let me clean it up, okay?"
He stiffened. She wanted to help clean him up?
"I can do it myself, you know."
"I know. But, you- just let me okay?"
"Fine..." he sighed, sitting on her small love seat couch before she could even say anything.
After grabbing a wet towel and some gentle soap, she pulled her desk chair close to face him. Her hand reached up, almost holding his jaw, as she gently tipped back his head.
"Lemme see..." her voice in a low whisper. She took the washcloth and carefully scrubbed off the dried blood. Her hands were shaky, and her breath was hollow. She was internally screaming
He's so close! He's so close! Satoru Gojo is in my living room, and he's letting me touch his face!
"You're thinking too loud." He muttered.
"Am I? Sorry... I just never thought I would ever...ya know..." she trailed off, trying to concentrate on the task at hand.
"Never thought you'd meet such a handsome guy like me, eh?" He tried to joke. But they both knew the reality of the situation.
"Something like that..." she started to speak, mumbling softly. "I've joked about this to friends before... meeting you. It's just... I don't even know what to think, if I can be honest."
He raised an eyebrow at her as she carefully moved his head to the opposite side.
"You've imagined this moment before. Weirdo." He hummed lightly, almost a tease. She smiled, half embarrassed, half happy they were talking to easily.
"Just be happy its me who found you. One of my friends knows of you too, and she used to joke that if you became real, she would beat you up." She wasn't sure why she was telling him this, but she was glad she did. Satoru laughed, a genuine laugh.
"Oh? Can she even fight?"
"I would say that she would be very motivated."
"Sure, sure..." he smirked at the idea, causing her face to warm up a bit. She decided not to say anything else as to not embarrass herself further.
"Almost done... Do you feel okay?" She asked after a few minutes.
"Hmm.." he hummed.
They sat in silence for a moment, the AC clicking on, causing a quiet 'vhmm' to vibrate through the room.
"Would you like to eat something? Maybe shower? I only got "girly" products, but you are more than welcome to use my stuff..." she smiled kindly at him.
"...Yeah, I'll do that..."
He got up, walking towards the bathroom. It was pretty obvious where it was considering the small apartment.
"I'll get you some towels. And I know you're pretty tall, but I might have a shirt and some sweatpants for you to borrow. Is that okay?"
"Yeah, sure. Thanks."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru sat at her small table in the corner of her kitchen. It was only big enough for two people normally, but Satoru was a big man. So he felt a little cramped. Satoru, before he died, in his universe was rich. Beyond rich. He could buy her entire apartment complex, tear it down, and build a mansion in its place while barely making a dent in his back account.
But now? He was in a tiny apartment eating soup from a chipped bowl. How quickly can things change, huh?
He played with the chunks of veggies that floated in the broth, watching them move from one side of the bowl to the other. It was good soup, chicken or something, he wasn't sure exactly, but it was good. She sat down across from him, with a big mug filled with soup.
"I only had one bowl because it's usually just me eating," she said, smiling softly. "I hope it's okay, I know it's a day old, but soup lasts a while, yeah?"
"It's good. Thank you." He mumbled, his hair slightly damp still from his shower. He smelled like a flower shop threw up on him. A mix of sweet, floral scents. Roses, maybe? Or lavender? He wasn't an expert on women's body wash.
His mind felt heavier than before as he ate another bite. His eyes twitched as he tapped his foot under her table. Satoru's mind started to finally catch up with the fact that he was... not anywhere close to home.
Satoru looked at her. Her eyes cast down at her mug. He tilted his head slightly, looking at the way her hair fell. How her hand held her spoon. The way she took a small sip of the broth, it was so human
"Why are you helping me? I know you said you're a fan, but even then. Why? It makes no sense to me." He looked down, taking another bite.
She looked up at him, eyes wide. She blinked at him before speaking.
"Because you needed help. I wanted to help you. I know your life pretty well and- well...yeah."
"That can't be all." He said, searching her eyes while squinting his own. Her face showed no malice, no ill intent. Her eyes had sparks of kindness, maybe. Although Satoru wasn't too familiar with that look.
"It is... trust me, okay?"
"Okay." He nodded at her, his eyes fluttering again.
A few minutes passed, they both had finished eating, and she while doing their dishes quickly before bed. The small space was quiet, almost peaceful. Satoru looked around her space. Pictures if him were almost everywhere. Figures of her shelves seemed to almost mock him, taunting the fact that his life was fake.
"Why do you like me so much, anyway?" He tried to make it sound lighter than the question actually was. She finished up washing the bowl and spoons and looked at him. Face blushed slightly, almost from embarrassment.
"Well, you're..strong. you're super cool, you're smart and fast, and of course kind. You're a good man, if not a little... weird sometimes."
"A "good man," huh?" He hummed, thinking. "And not a word about my absolutely gorgeous face? My muscles? My voice?" He smirked, happy that the teasing came more naturally this time. He was even happier about her reaction. This is why he loved to tease.
"Well- yes... but! That's not all of it. I still think you're super cool..." she trailed off, grumbling under her breath softly. He laughed, just a little.
"What, you embarrassed? Little old you all stumbling over their words... It's almost cute like a kitten." He teased, grinning widely.
She sighed, pretending to be annoyed. But she couldn't help but smile. That's the Satoru Gojo she always dreamed of meeting. The one grinning at her, teasing and batting around her emotions like a cat with a mouse. It was annoying, sure. And it would probably get tiring pretty fast, but this was so much better than the sad Gojo who ate his soup without a word.
"What? You flustered now?"
"No." She answered, too quickly. Somehow, his grin grew wider.
"You're fun to tease. You react all surprised and yet, not surprised at all."
"My friends tease me a lot. So I'm used to it. But I can tease back too... just you wait." She smiled widely, almost smugly. His blue eyes widened in amusement.
"Oh, ho ho! I'll be waiting for that, then."
He looked down at her ground as she giggled. He was kind of enjoying her company. A lot. Although he would probably never say it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Satoru sat on her couch, wondering how he was supposed to sleep on that thing. He was a big man. Taller than most men, so he had not idea how he could sleep on such a tiny thing.
"Oh.. you're not sleeping on the love seat." She could read his mind, how? He wondered. Although his confusion and sleepy expression probably gave it away.
"Huh?"
"Yeah, you're on my bed. If that's fine. It should be more comfortable for you." She smiled, eyes brightened for a moment. "I just saved up a few months to get an awesome bed frame! It should feel better than my couch, and definitely the floor."
He could see the excitement on her face, and it warmed his heart just a tiny bit. She was so enthusiastic about a mattress frame. Wow. Was she sleeping with a bare mattress on he floor. He winced, imagining her back problems.
"I got a few spare blankets, and lucky you. I just cleaned my sheets yesterday. So they're pretty clean..."
"Thank you. But are you sure? Don't you wsnt your beauty rest or something?" He asked. Feeling almost bad for how much he wanted to just lay down and sleep. She shook her head and waved a hand at him.
"Trust me, it's the least I can do for you. Now, do you need anything before I go to bed? Well, I guess I am two feet away from you, but still." She joked.
"No, I think I'm okay. And...thank you again." His voice was sincere. Her eyes soften.
"Of course. Now come on. Snuggle up, I'll turn off the lights."
He let himself fall down onto her pillow. Her sheets warm and snug around his worn-out body. His muscles seemed to melt into the blankets. And soon enough, he was asleep.

I hope you liked this, I might be making a part two? If not, oh well!
“But I wanna know!” You’re gonna have to learn to be ok with not knowing some things, especially when those things involve personal details about strangers that they’re not comfortable sharing.
“But it’s confusing!” If you take the time to educate yourself it’ll no longer be confusing. Otherwise you’re just gonna have to learn to be ok with being confused.
“But it’s weird!” You probably do weird things all the time. Everyone does weird things sometimes. Life goes on.
“But it scares me!” Is it hurting you? No? You’ll be fine. Being scared and being harmed are not always the same thing. Learn to tell the difference and then act accordingly.
“But I want it!” And I want a million dollars. You can’t always get what you want.
"But it makes me uncomfortable!" The world is an uncomfortable place and complete strangers are not required to fix that for you. Learning to endure harmless discomfort is a life skill for existing in public.
"But I don't like it!" There's plenty of things in the world and not all of them are fun or enjoyable or For You. This applies to everyone and we all have to deal with that in a mature fashion.
"But I want to do the thing!" You can't always do what you want. Most people learn this in preschool. Wanting something does not entitle you to be inconsiderate to the people around you.
⤷ 𝓲n which your husband satoru is overly clingy with you, even after arguing. and now it seems like it runs in the family where your son is just as — if not more clingy.
𝓬ontents: hurt/comfort, canon sorcerer au where you and gojo have a one year old together, very suggestive themes and fluff <3
all you wanted today was some peace and quiet, but it looked like your son and satoru believed otherwise.
your baby was attached by the hip for almost weeks on end, which of course is expected at one years old. but his growing attachment combined with not eating anything you made for him and finding humour in throwing around his heavy toys had you going insane.
normally satoru wouldn’t hesitate to step in and help to make your life a whole lot easier when your son was being difficult, but he was sent on a mission for a few days which left you all alone. on the rare occasion, he would be more of a nuisance than help, but let’s not jinx that.
luckily enough, he was expected to return back today. so all would be fine, right?
however, you and satoru had an unresolved argument before he left – ironically about how he overworks himself to a dangerous extent. things were now very awkward between the two of you, barely messaging during his time away unless it was to update him with cute pictures of your son or your typical goodnight/good morning messages to each other.
❀
it’s late at night when your baby has finally gone to sleep, now just you and your husband. satoru being perceptive as ever, notices you’re quieter than usual and asks, “i can tell something’s bothering you, what’s up?”
“satoru, i’m worried for you..”
“worried for me? why?”
“i think you’re taking on way too many risky missions. do you not see how they’ll eventually burn you out?”
“that’s cute, but you don’t need to worry about me sweets. i’m the strongest after all!”
“don’t be arrogant with me right now, i genuinely worry that you won’t make it back home one day. back to us. i have nightmares all the time that i’ll have to learn to live a life without you because you pushed your own limits.”
“it’s not really arrogant if it’s true...”
you clicked your tongue in annoyance, “if that’s all you take away from that then i think you seriously need to grow up.”
“okay look, i don’t know what to tell you. everyone’s relying on me as a safety net for their lives.“
“but are you their only sorcerer? just because you’re the strongest doesn’t mean you’re the only one alive and working.”
“it’s not like they can always rely on the students to take on death missions which really are just a piece of cake for me. this isn’t just a silly thing i do on a whim. it’s my job. don’t you think i know the risks that come with it?”
“of course i know, but how many times have you promised me that you were going to quit or only stick to teaching now that you’re a family man? all of which were your words by the way. so maybe don’t keep making empty promises to me and your baby that you can’t even live up to.” your voice shakes at the end, falling silent as you wipe away the tears threatening to spill.
just as he was about to speak up and try comfort you, his phone rings. you roll your eyes knowing that when someone calls him this late it’s most likely the higher ups sending him on another mission. he sighs before answering, the timing could not have been worse in helping his case.
satoru tries to listen to the details of the case, but he’s more attentive to you — not even attempting to hide it as he looks at you. now you just feel awkward with his bright blue orbs staring into your soul.
“it’s a special grade curse abroad. they said it should take around three days.” he’s still gazing into your eyes, trying to anticipate your reaction. but you’re not looking at him anymore, now focused on the ground.
“just go, satoru.”
❀
“honey, i’m home!” he calls out from the front entrance, immediately teleporting back once the mission was complete.
“dada!” your son crawls out of your grasp and waddles over to satoru’s leg, practically jumping in joy.
“hello little munchkin~ you’ve been taking care of mama?” he lifts him up and tickles his belly. your son obviously didn’t understand a thing he said, simply giggling in response. that’s when satoru really looks at you, taking in your exhausted expression and dark circles.
“hi my love, how about you get some rest, hm? i’ll take care of him.”
“n–no, it’s okay. you’re probably starving right now, i’ll make your favourite?”
“nope. won’t be needing that. i stopped by the local cafe to taste test the whole menu, and brought it back to you!” with a swipe of his fingers the front door opens and reveals the food bags floating in. your greedy baby attempts to reach out to the nearest bag with his mouth almost drooling at the sight of his favourite desserts peaking out.
“thank you, toru…” you sigh in relief as you take one of the bags full of savoury pastries and croissants before heading back upstairs to your room.
you feel well-rested after an hour or so passes, now in the state where your body is half awake and half asleep. that doesn’t last for long before satoru barges in with your baby.
“sweets!” “mama!” they call in unison.
“uhh..hi..?” you sit up and reply, still in a very much confused daze.
“we missed you! well– him more than me..” satoru chuckles as your baby kicks his tiny feet around. he plops onto the bed and your baby jumps out of his hold and onto your stomach. you wince slightly but accept his little bear hug nonetheless.
“y’know what i just realised, sweets?” he asks, getting comfy as he rests his head on your lap.
“hm?”
“you haven’t kissed me at all since i came back, not even a peck!” he pouts and crosses his arms like a child. is he going to pretend like the argument just didn’t happen at all?
“seriously?”
“more serious than the birth of this lil’ guy!” he exclaims, pointing at your son who was now rummaging through the food bag from before.
“welp– guess you’ll have to earn it.” you shrug and pat his head. something in your gut told you that satoru wouldn’t make your life any easier today, so why not make him work for it?
“you don’t mean that…” he murmurs, looking up at you like a kicked puppy.
“oh, i do. now leave us alone. you interrupted my beauty sleep and it’s his nap time.” you lie back down and pull your baby into your arms to cuddle.
“i-is this the first stage of me being replaced? my cuddling time gets stolen by our spawn?”
“nothing personal, he’s just got cuter appeal.” you tease and turn away from him.
satoru of course wouldn’t take no for an answer, deciding to join you in bed and wrapping a protective arm over the both of you, his hold so strong that you knew it was pointless trying to fight it.
“hey! who said you could join us?!” you attempt and completely fail to wriggle out of his grasp.
“shh– let’s just go to sleep baby~” he uses that same tone that he uses for your son, making you huff in irritation. you would only let it slide this time since his mission most likely deprived him of sleep and therefore cause him to act like an airhead.
yeah. that has to be it.
half an hour passes by until you’re awake and fully energised, your baby starts to stir awake as well whereas satoru is still out like a light. you push his heavy arm away to leave, desperately needing the toilet and to shower.
you barely make it to the door when your baby mumbles a sleepy “mama?”, bottom lip trembling from one breakdown away.
“mama’s coming back, sweetie. i need to shower, okay? stay with papa for now.”
“otay..” he pouts, watching you leave. once the door shuts, you let out a deep sigh of relief when he doesn’t start crying.
meanwhile your baby decided to wake up his dad by crawling up his body and straddling his chest. satoru lets out a choked groan at the added body pressure but your baby deemed it not enough, beginning to slap his face on both sides awake.
“dada! wake up time!”
“ah– alright alright!” satoru instinctively reaches out to your side to pull you in, only to be grabbing nothing “hey wait a minute…where’s mama?”
“mama showah!”
“hmm, i see…let’s go check up on her, c’mon!” he scoops up your son into his arms and tiptoes up to the bathroom door.
you’re preparing a warm bath, pouring in the himalayan bath salts before being interrupted by bursts of knocking on the other side and a screeching “mamamama!” “loveyyyy!”. you internally groan for a good ten seconds before grabbing your bathrobe to wrap around and open the door.
“what is it now?” you glare at satoru, having caught onto his clingy antics that will definitely continue on further today. but he doesn’t answer. he can’t. not when your soft legs and the outline of your bare breasts are peaking through your robe (yes he’s that easy).
“eyes up here, perv!” you pull his chin back up to your face, clearly waiting for an explanation as to why he’s disturbing your peace once again. and oh, his look alone tells you that he’s so gone.
“..how about i leave him in the playpen and come join you?”
“don’t even think about it! now shoo!” you push him out and lock the door, leaving them both whining outside. this man was seriously going to make your hair go whiter than his by the end of the day.
“satoru…” your voice eerily calm, silencing him instantly. “if you don’t leave right now, you won’t be getting any kisses for a month.” he gulps hard, knowing what you mean by kisses in this context, and that you would truly stand by it.
“heh…we’re just gonna go then…enjoy your bath!”
finally you could wind down and relax, letting your tense body bask in the warm, bubbly water. you could faintly hear your son’s toy drums being put to use from the living room, but that was satoru’s problem now. and knowing your husband, he probably egged it on.
feeling much more refreshed and relaxed, you go downstairs to start on dinner. you’re preparing and chopping up the ingredients to make chicken parmesan when satoru comes up from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder and wrapping his arms around your waist. even though you’re married, when he touches you like this, your stomach flutters and your heart backflips uncontrollably.
satoru sniffs your vanilla scent in before murmuring, “mmph, y’smell so good.” then plants slow kisses on your neck.
“thanks toru~” you giggle at how giddy he has you feeling inside.
“so how about that real kiss now?” he asks, god he was desperate for it (which you wouldn’t lie was kind of cute), so why not bless him just a bit? you turn around to face him and peck his cheek.
“that’s all you can get for now.” you turn back to dice the vegetables.
“i’ll take it, are we okay though?” he frowns when remembering your argument.
“we’ll see, i guess you’re out of the doghouse.” you can feel his smile against your shoulder. he opens his mouth to reply when your baby appears out of nowhere and tugs on your leg.
“is everything okay, baby?”
“mama play wiv me?” your heart could just melt right now. you wanted to pick him up and eat his soft, plump cheeks but you had just cut up chilli peppers and onions, a dangerous combo to even be near his face.
“heyyy!!” satoru butts in highly offended, “what’s wrong with papa to play with?”
“papa bawwing!” you struggle to stifle in your laugh, everyday your baby goes on to shock you with the choice of words he picks up on.
“ahem– mama’s making your favourite food, so later on okay?”
“dino nuggie?” more like chicken and spaghetti noodles…it’s not like a one year old would know the difference anyways!
“…yeah! so go play with papa, and don’t be so boring satoru!”
“i have a family of bullies…” he mutters dramatically as he hikes your baby up to sit on top of his shoulders, off to the living room and act out their imaginary music band for the 50th time today.
once you’re finished cooking, satoru helps to plate up dinner and place your baby in his high chair, who was thoroughly inspecting his bowl of spaghetti and cut-up chicken pieces. your mind was praying that he didn’t throw his bowl away this time, but after watching his dad eat up like there was no tomorrow he actually ate his food this time!
“y’know,” satoru speaks up and reaches out to hold your hand, thumb caressing your knuckles “i missed you a lot whilst i was away. the both of you.”
“we missed you too.” you smile softly at him.
“sweets, i’m sorry. i kept thinking about our argument the whole time and how i should’ve been more understanding.”
“i should be sorry too. i was being petty–”
“no. don’t do that. you were right, i talked to yaga about working less missions and he agreed.”
“really?” your eyes widen in shock, it almost sounds too good to be true.
“i may have threatened the higher ups with their lives to get there…”
“satoru!” you try to scold him but it fails as you end up smiling. honestly you hate the higher ups just as much as he does since they seem to be the root cause of maintaining the broken system.
“can you blame me? they’re the ones keeping us apart!” that was another fair point that made you giggle.
“can i kiss you now?” he asks when it goes quiet again. you nod, and when his lips are just about to come into contact with yours, you purse your lips. “babe! you’re so evil it hurts!” satoru whines making you full on snort out loud.
“mama me kiss?” your baby grins adorably, understanding one of his favourite words. and how could you ever deny him?
“of course mochi!” you place soft kisses all over his chubby face covered in pasta sauce. when you turn back to satoru, he’s still moping. “ugh, fine. come here you big baby.” you lean over and let your lips softly connect.
satoru, however, is on a completely different wavelength as he deepens the kiss with his tongue sneakily slipping into your entrance and sucking slow on yours. it was expected for him to be like this after three days without any touch, but in front of the baby? you can’t seem to pull away either, so maybe you’re not any better.
you slowly pull back when your baby’s grubby hands bang against the table, not before planting more small kisses on satoru’s lips. you have a theory that whenever you kiss in front of your son, he hates it. as it always results in him feeling obligated to stop it — or as satoru claims to be a tiny cockblocker.
“i may have gotten a little surprise for you while you were away~” you mention casually when you both have finished eating (satoru in five minutes and you in thirty because you were going on tangents).
“oh yeah? is it the kind that i’m thinking of?” he smirks and winks at you, which made you more flustered than it should have.
“don’t be so dirty toru, our baby’s right here! ahem– and maybe that too– but go check the fridge..” his eyes narrow at you even whilst he gets up, trying to guess what it could be.
when satoru opens the fridge, he’s surprised with boxes of limited edition kikufuku mochi — his all-time favourite snack since he was a child. it looks like you also stress baked as his eyes light up when they set on the homemade cookie dough brownies, doughnuts, trifle, and cheesecake.
“did i die and this is my heaven…?” he whispers, quickly brought back to his senses with a sharp slap to his nape from you. when did you and your son even get there?
“what have i said about saying stuff like that?”
“sorry, sorry! but woah– after i eat all of this just know you’re going to be eaten out so well~” he singsongs whilst ripping out the mochi from the package.
“oh my god satoru...” you mentally facepalm and shake your head, leave it to him to turn everything sexual. you gulp when watching how his tongue skilfully licks off the powder as he takes his time to savour each bite, shamelessly moaning every time.
“mmph~ where did you– find these? i need more of ‘em” he manages to muffle out with his face stuffed.
“i asked ijichi to make a quick stop to your favourite store out of town on my behalf! you can thank me later~”
“me mochi!” your baby exclaims and claps his hands, exactly like his father with literal heart eyes forming at the sight of more of the desserts. satoru breaks off a mochi in half to feed to both you and the baby, silently bribing you with food before you had the chance to say no.
satoru kept the baby occupied whilst you managed to clean up. although your son was not having it, immediately crying when he left your arms and leaving satoru on the verge of a mental breakdown as to whether his son already forgot his face in the span of three days.
finally, when bedtime rolls in and your baby has fully exhausted himself out, satoru gets to selfishly have you all to himself and leaves no time to waste. you get to flaunt your new baby blue lingerie set for him before he rips it off and shows you just how much he missed you. rounds later, you’re now in his warm embrace, his soft voice like a lullaby to your ears.
“i love you..” he murmurs, kissing your temple over and over again when he thinks you’ve fallen asleep.
“heh– i love you more you big softie.” you whisper back, a wide smile ghosting your sleepy face.
𝓷otes: again didn’t know how to end this, wanted to write smut but i’m literally so ahh at it so hope this was good enough x
