I totally get people having preferences for characters & their tropes, but I’m going tbh: when it comes to (specifically) Regulus, idc what the profile looks like.

I’ve seen quite a lot of people complain that they don’t like the characterization of Regulus 90% of the time, & they’d prefer a characterization of him like OTB or CR, but tbh I love any variation of him. I’m like James in that way.

Idc if he’s soft, shy, mean, rough around the edges, scary, BAMF, insecure & self loathing, pitiful, etc…I just love regulus in all his depictions. Variations will always be welcome, but I think regulus is a lot of these tropes. It’s just certain fics call for certain ones.

Regulus is meant to be loved in all forms 💚

Head canon for James…

Honestly I love to imagine a teddy bear depiction of James Potter sometimes too. Not super shredded or lean. I feel like he’d still be fit bc of Quidditch, but he’s also a little thick & still soft. I love teddy bear men.

unpopular opinion but I don’t think that James would laugh at the flirty jokes between Remus and regulus. I actually think it would lokey break his heart.

Context: One of my favorite James Potter head canon is that he was the person who loved hard and was always led on or cheated on cause people just wanted to say they were dating ‘The James Potter’.

When James finally found Regulus and they got together he was cynical just assumed Reg would just leave him too so the first (and only) time he experienced Remus and Regulus joke flirting to make their bfs a little jealous he ran off and broke down in tears. I’m talking cried his heart out because he really liked Regulus. He was just so hurt because it had happened again. He’d just been used to get to someone else.

Reg found him and they talked it out and it never happened again.
