when all this pandemic panic happened a bunch of guys started scouting out my grandparents property next door and when confronted they said "were your neighbors in that house right there" and my grandparents said "no your are NOT rick" and they literally ran off.

I wish people realized that the people in their 20s currently speaking out against hypersexual internet culture aren't doing it because we're killjoys but because we were the first generation of people who grew up fully online and we can see the damage its done to us. and so much of that damage was done not by even partaking directly in that culture but by being desensitized to it through exposure and subsequently losing our concept of healthy expectations and boundaries, and being groomed by people we thought were our friends. we have normalized receiving unwanted sexual advances and comments/opinions and you get called a prude for telling someone not to be inappropriate with you.

Honestly, I feel really bad for you guys. I'm in my thirties and saw this internet hypersexuality creep up in real time as the internet became more commonplace.

I wasn't really online until I was a teenager and can't imagine what long term exposure from childhood could do to someone. From my outsider's perspective, I find all this horrific.
