Don't Look Back!
So, Walking Dead returns tonight for the continuation of Season 4!!! Though I am looking forward to Mid Season Premier, I can't help but look forward to The Talking Dead. I really wish more shows had a legit pod cast following each episode, but then that got me thinking: Wait, I'm sure they do, but they all exist somewhere across the Internet just waiting to be discovered. After all, that's pretty much what happened with The Talking Dead. Last time on the Walking Dead, we saw many lives lost as the Prison was invaded by the Governor and his crew. Despite the Group's efforts, there wasn't much they could do against the siege of walkers. Now, as a fan of the comics, I have an idea of where the show is leading to next, and I really, REALLY, hope it goes that route because things are about to get crazy nastier. Kirkman himself stated that the show is only going to get darker, and I'm totally excited to see this change. Not out of morbid curiosity, but perhaps the show is going to have more "unrated" episodes. One of the things about TWD comic books is that they curse a whole lot, and it's amazing how the writers of the AMC series has managed to come this far without a character dropping the "F Bomb." I'm not going to lie: The Walking Dead has been sand bagging it and taking advantage of their mid-season breaks. Sand bagging is starting weak and coming back strong, which is what a lot of athletes and competitive gamers do from time to time because in the end, they know they will win. In my opinion, Season 3 has been the best season thus far, and both Season 2 and 4 started off a bit "weak." However, I felt that the turning point in Season 4's beginning was when we saw the Governor again, and then those last four episodes up until the Mid-Season break were utterly fantastic. The Walking Dead is a series that separates itself from others because while most zombie stories focus on action elements and killing zombies altogether, TWD is all about the character development and scenarios. It's always about, "Wow, how are they going to deal with this lost or sacrifice, and what are they going to do this time in order to survive." While you're asking these questions, you're also rooting for these characters, hoping they will get out alive, and then you might shed a tear when you see them pass on. That element is what makes TWD so entertaining, and being able to connect to characters is what makes a good story even better. The fact that you tune in or hurry on to buy the next issue of the comic book shows just how much you care about these fictional characters, and while it might seem crazy, it's okay to find yourself emotionally invested because good writers know and want their audience to care. After all, special effects and action is nothing without good story, right George Lucas? Oh wait, he's long forgotten that.
Enjoy the premier tonight, people, and stay Awesome! Your Friendly Neighborhood Admin,

Real Life Math Problems....
Real life math problems should include questions about deciding the appropriate volume setting on your television while your guests are asleep, but at the same time, having to pick a number that ends with either 5 or 0.
