How can you make the world a better place with your own two hands? I had the pleasure in teaching this mini lesson last week. This lesson is good for students in pre-k to 4th grade. The following lesson allows students to use critical thinking skills as well as gaining social awareness skills. The objective is students will be able to make connections with their peers, adults in the classroom and the community around them. Guide the activity in creating a list of things you can do to help the community. You can also create a big hand chart with a list of things that can be done with your hands. The goal is to have children thinking 💭 Note: this Mini lesson also allow students to create their own theory on the used of their hands. It’s important for teachers and parents to allow them to create their on sense of understanding on how to use their hands to make the world a better place. (at Bronx, New York)
