Keep track of existing workings, plan your next witch jar, and record the results in this printable A5-size worksheet!
And now for something totally different! Doing a soft return from hiatus with a couple digital products. I'm alive! Just busy working on draft zero of two novels and synthesizing a couple different plot variations on the first. (For the curious, it's a supernatural thriller featuring the reluctant scion of an international crime family and involves lethal librarians, spooky saints, and more anthropodermic bibliopegy than strictly necessary.) In the meantime, here are two custom #poppets I conjured from the ether for a couple cameradoes. #witchesofinstagram #stitchersofinstagram #poppet #handsewn #handmade #sigil #runes #modernembroidery #makersgonnamake #magic https://www.instagram.com/p/Bq2UQy3n71S/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1fms4zzq7apm7

Home Protection Tips from a Long-time Witch!
These were suggested to me by the guy who runs an occult/witchcraft shop about an hour from where I live. I was having trouble because the energy around my town has just felt really funky and off, and my house doesn’t really feel homey because of it. Portals and dimensional beings and dead people and horrific deaths happening every other day…the works. If you’re in a similar situation, here are some tips from a very friendly dude who knows his stuff!
• Make a witch bottle. The guy told me this is really old school. How do you make one? Get a jar and fill it with absolutely nasty stuff—rusty nails, razor blades, broken glass, stuff that you wouldn’t wanna step on. Next, have everyone in your house put a piece of themselves in the jar (the guy told me urine was traditionally the best because it’s like “marking your territory”, but he said that’s also gross so if you feel more comfortable using spit, hair, or toenail clippings, those work too). Finally, screw the jar shut tight and bury it next to your front door. You can bury it in a pot of dirt if you don’t have green space around your entryway. The guy told me this draws all the nasty, negative energy into the jar and traps it so that it doesn’t get into your house.
• Put mirrors opposite all the windows (or at least the windows by your front door). You can buy cheap craft mirrors at craft stores for not much money and they don’t have to be big. The idea is that you’re “reflecting” any negative energy back outside where it belongs.
• Draw sigils or other protective symbols above your front door in chalk. Chalk is good to use because you can easily wash it off if need be. You just have to make sure to replace it when it fades! The witch dude told me that his roommates aren’t witches but they always remind him to redraw his sigils because they feel safer when he does XD
• Hang pretty reflective glass balls outside your door! They’re good for trapping negative energy, reflecting negative energy, and they don’t look conspicuous because they’re decorative!
• Wind chimes also serve a similar purpose and they aren’t conspicuous either
• Line all the doors and windows with a protective powder. I bought mine from the shop on recommendation, and I’m not sure what’s in it besides powdered sage, black salt, and possibly brick dust?
• SALT BOWLS. This solution came from one of my spiritual teachers. Get a bowl and fill it with water and iodized salt. Put the bowl near the entryway of your house. Salt is purifying and the bowl will act as an “energetic trash can”.
• If you can afford it, black tourmaline is good for protection against negative energy. I got a few small pieces and lined them up by the windows in my entryway.
These tips are for keeping outside energy from contaminating the inside of your home. For cleansing and banishing things from INSIDE your home, that requires a different process. But anyway, I hope this helps people like it helped me! Shoutout to the super cool dude running that witchcraft shop :)

✨Intuition💭
“I define intuition as the subtle knowing without ever having any idea why you know it,” Sophy Burnham, bestselling author of The Art of Intuition, tells The Huffington Post. “It’s different from thinking, it’s different from logic or analysis … It’s a knowing without knowing.” Our intuition is always there, whether we’re aware of it or not. Cognitive science is beginning to demystify the strong but sometimes inexplicable presence of unconscious reasoning in our lives and thought. Often dismissed as unscientific because of its connections to the psychic and paranormal, intuition isn’t just a bunch of hoo-ha about our “Spidey senses” — the U.S. military is even investigating the power of intuition, which has helped troops to make quick judgments during combat that ended up saving lives. “There is a growing body of anecdotal evidence, combined with solid research efforts, that suggests intuition is a critical aspect of how we humans interact with our environment and how, ultimately, we make many of our decisions,” Ivy Estabrooke, a program manager at the Office of Naval Research, told the New York Times in 2012.
Here are 10 things that people in touch with their intuition do differently.
1. They listen to that inner voice. The No. 1 thing that distinguishes intuitive people is that they listen to, rather than ignore, the guidance of their intuitions and gut feelings.
2. They take time for solitude. Just as solitude can help give rise to creative thinking, it can also help us connect to our deepest inner wisdom.Intuitive people are often introverted, according to Burnham. But whether you’re an introvert or not, taking time for solitude can help you engage in deeper thought and reconnect with yourself.
3. They create. Creative people are highly intuitive, explains Burnham, and just as you can increase your creativity through practice, you can boost your intuition. In fact, practicing one may build up the other.
4. They practice mindfulness. Meditation and other mindfulness practices can be an excellent way to tap into your intuition. As the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute explains, “Mindfulness can help you filter out mental chatter, weigh your options objectively, tune into your intuition and ultimately make a decision that you can stand behind completely.”
5. They observe everything. “The first thing to do is notice — keep a little journal, and notice when odd things happen,” Burnham says. You’ll gain a keen sense for how often coincidences, surprising connections and on-the-dot intuitions occur in your daily life — in other words, you’ll start to tap into your intuition.
6. They listen to their bodies. Intuitive people learn to tune into their bodies and heed their “gut feelings.” If you’ve ever started feeling sick to your stomach when you knew something was wrong but couldn’t put your finger on what, you understand that intuitions can cause a physical sensation in the body.
7. They connect deeply with others. Mind reading may seem like the stuff of fantasy and pseudo-science, but it’s actually something we do everyday. It’s called empathic accuracy, a term in psychology that refers to the “seemingly magical ability to map someone’s mental terrain from their words, emotions and body language,” according to Psychology Today.
8. They pay attention to their dreams. Burnham recommends paying attention to your dreams as a way to get in touch with your mind’s unconscious thinking processes. Both dreams and intuition spring from the unconscious, so you can begin to tap into this part of your mind by paying attention to your dreams.
9. They enjoy plenty of downtime. Few things stifle intuition as easily as constant busyness, multitasking, connectivity to digital devices and stress and burnout.
10. They mindfully let go of negative emotions. Strong emotions — particularly negative ones — can cloud our intuition. Many of us know that we feel out of sorts or “not ourselves” when we’re upset, and it may be because we’re disconnected from our intuition.

the immense healing power of room-cleaning can never be overstated
I feel like I should make a post about this because it’s not something that’s very well-known, and that Americans in particular may need to know about given the uncertain state of our healthcare system at the moment. I’ve wanted to write this out for a while, It’s kind of a long post, so sorry about that!
If you have an emergency and have to go to the hospital, you’ll owe the hospital a lot of money. (I got into a car wreck and broke my ankle and my arm. My hospital bill was around $20,000)
You’ll also owe the ambulance provider, if you need one. (My ambulance bill was about $800)
You may get separate bills from the anesthesiologist or surgeon. (My anesthesiologist bill was $1,700)
You may need follow-up appointments. (My orthopedic surgeon billed me for the appointments and his surgery together and it was about $1,000)
You’ve also got to pay for medical equipment you need afterward, like crutches or a walking boot. (Mine cost about $75)
Altogether, I ended up with almost $24,000 in medical debt from one car accident. That’s a really scary number for someone like me who makes $10/hr at a 12 hour a week job.
I got my debt down to $1075 by making some phone calls and submitting some paperwork.
The first thing I did was contact the hospital. They don’t make it easy to find, but many hospitals (perhaps most hospitals?) have financial assistance programs for people who can’t afford medical bills. I don’t make a lot of money, and I have bills to pay, so they were able to help me. I called the billing department and asked if they had any assistance programs for low income people who can’t pay their bills. I had to call multiple times, and I got transferred in circles by people who didn’t know what I was talking about. Finally, I got an appointment with someone in “Eligibility Services” (I don’t know what other hospitals call it, if it’s something different). I had to bring my pay stubs and copies of all of my bills. When I got to the hospital for the appointment, nobody knew what I was talking about so I had to wander a little to find where I needed to go. I spoke with the guy in Eligibility Services, and I waited for a decision on how much of the bill they would forgive. A month later, I got a call telling me it was totally forgiven.
I did the same thing for my ambulance bill and my anesthesiologist, but the process was a LOT easier. I just had to mail some paperwork and it was totally forgiven.
I didn’t bother with the medical equipment suppliers, since the bills came from separate companies and I didn’t feel like going through the process twice for $75. I was assured at the hospital that they had similar programs for debt forgiveness, so I could have probably avoided paying that too.
The only thing I couldn’t get taken care of was the surgeon/follow-up appointment cost, but they were able to put me on a no-interest payment plan.
Medical debt is scary because it’s something that can come from stuff that’s already really scary. I didn’t need the burden of $24,000 in debt on top of trying to get around on a crutch with a broken arm (it’s not easy, believe me!).. but I can’t imagine what it would be like with a bigger debt or a more severe medical emergency. I see lots of people in even worse trouble than I was in, both financially and medically. Please know that there are options for you when that GoFundMe doesn’t do enough. Even if your income is higher than mine, it’s worth a shot even for partial debt forgiveness.
I am about 900% sure there are people who don`the know this.
PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU LIVE IN AMERICA AND HAVE MEDICAL BILLS
I had to do this once as well and I can ABSOLUTELY confirm that this is true.
Get in contact with the hospital. Don’t just…sit there and let the anxiety grow and panic and then ignore it in an effort to find peace.

This adorable little robot is designed to make sure its photosynthesising passenger is well taken care of. It moves towards brighter light if it needs, or hides in the shade to keep cool. When in the light, it rotates to make sure the plant gets plenty of light. It even likes to play with humans.
Oh, and apparently, it gets antsy when it’s thirsty.
The robot is actually an art project called “Sharing Human Technology with Plants” by a roboticist named Sun Tianqi. It’s made from a modified version of a Vincross HEXA robot, and in his own words, it’s purpose is “to explore the relationship between living beings and robots.”
I don’t care if it’s silly. I want one.
