my dream check please adaptation would be a four-season 22-episode apiece sitcom, with each season being one year of the comic/one year of bitty's time at samwell. this would allow it to be silly enough to really bring the spirit of the comic, allow for little hocky shit animations, provide opportunity for all of the characters to get the development they deserve, and meaningfully seperate it from both heartstopper and heated rivalry. extra plotlines could get added to adapt the tweets and really make it sing! i think of this magnificant and improbably dream often.

Hi check please fandom I just realized that in our day and age of 2026 with how the food and supliment industry has evolved bitty would be making protein pies for jack. And I would like to discuss that

this can go one of two/three ways:

1. he’s attempted, attempting, will attempt. he has gone all in on making these protein pies for his husband and likely will not stop without outside intervention (the subscenarios here are: jack is into it, and jack is not into it)

2. he is disgusted by the idea of extra protein being anywhere near his baked goods. dessert is dessert, mr. zimmermann-bittle, and you can get your protein from other food just fine

I feel like publicly he would be vehemently against them but privately has been driven up multiple walls trying to figure out how the hell jack expects him to make a fucking protein apple pie. Jack just maybe likes listening to bitty rant about the grit of the powders while he drinks his protein shake.

But I think the main point I'd like to make is that he'd at least try once. Even if he's vehemently against it it'd worm its way into his brain and jack would find him at 4 am covered in protein powder after a stressful week looking slightly like a mad scientist crossed with a feral raccoon that got into a gym bros trashcan

I do think it's kind of funny how john green wrote a book about tuberculosis that brought a lot of renewed attention to the subject and he's since become the darling of the tb world, speaks at tb conferences, my dad and every other tb researcher I know is absolutely smitten with him, and they'll be like "we love this guy! have you heard of him??" and I have to be like well yes, I have. for other reasons
