Adam West has passed away at 88.
The man who made Batman a worldwide icon on 1966 is no longer with us. this is a very sad day indeed.
Mike Rowe is a National Treasure
Dirty Jobs needs to come back, he taught so much respect for the jobs people don’t want to do
and that is important to understand, if you wanna get better, you gotta do the worst.
as a custodian and maintenance man for 5 years this guy is my personal hero
Love him!
THANK U JESUS❤️❤️❤️❤️
You spelled “begins” wrong. I’d take 8 more years of Obama than 1 month of Trump.
Indiana construction worker Jason Haney hid a giant ‘Where’s Waldo?’ cutout all over his work site for the children in a nearby hospital to find. Once he received word that they’d found him, he moved Waldo to another location so they could start looking for him again. Source
He also started a Facebook group so they could post all of their finds <3
Ok, so let’s use them to play ‘Where’s Waldo?’:
I know, too easy.
Easier still…
Better?
There ya go.
What an awesome dude.

These dudes are fucking legit. They don’t just show up one day in court, either, they actually make friends with the kids and let them know they have a support system and that there are people in the world who care about them and will always have their back. And less important, but also cool, is that the few times a couple of them have come into my cafe, they’ve been super friendly and polite and when I told one of the guys that I noticed his Bikers Against Child Abuse patch and wanted him to know how awesome I thought he was because of it, he got kind of shy and blushed and said, “The kids are the awesome ones, we just let them know they’re allowed to be brave.”
The source is long, but so, so good. These men and women are available in 36 states, 24 hours a day to stand guard at home, in court, at school, even if the child has a nightmare. Many of them are survivors of childhood abuse as well, and know what it’s like to feel scared and alone.
In court that day, the judge asked the boy, “Are you afraid?” No, the boy said.
Pipes says the judge seemed surprised, and asked, “Why not?”
The boy glanced at Pipes and the other bikers sitting in the front row, two more standing on each side of the courtroom door, and told the judge, “Because my friends are scarier than he is.”
Actual tears.. hnngh
Show me more of people like this, world. I give up on humans too easily.
where do i sign up for this,i want to be in this gang
This is fucking amazing. It may be out of character for me to say this but rock on
Bikers Against Child Abuse was founded in 1995 by a Native American child psychologist whose ride name is Chief, when he came across a young boy who had been subjected to extreme abuse and was too afraid to leave his house. He called the boy to reach out to him, but the only thing that seemed to interest the child was Chief’s bike. Soon, some 20 bikers went to the boy’s neighborhood and were able to draw him out of his house for the first time in weeks.
Chief’s thesis was that a child who has been abused by an adult can benefit psychologically from the presence of even more intimidating adults that they know are on their side. “When we tell a child they don’t have to be afraid, they believe us,” Arizona biker Pipes told azcentral.com. “When we tell them we will be there for them, they believe us.” ( Article)
More about BACA, from their site
My parents are a part of this organization and they are metal af
They go on runs to protect the child if they feel even the slightest threatened no matter where. If the child needs them to go on vacation with them, they do. Bikers come from across the nation to watch over and take shifts for these kids. And the best part is once you’re adopted into this family as a BACA kid, you’re always one. Even when you’re 40 and the perp gets released from jail, they’ll come meet with you and find your best options for avoiding the person and maintaining the life you’ve built for yourself. Once a BACA child, always a BACA child. In Florida, there’s 100% rate for identifying the perp based on the child’s testimony. Why? Because BACA stands with the child and supports the child so they feel comfortable enough to point out their attacker.
What’s better than a badass biker gang being on your side???
NATIVE AMERICAN CHILD PSYCHOLOGIST WHO IS A BIKER AND NAMED HIMSELF CHIEF HELL YES I’M HERE FOR THAT AND BIKERS BEING BAD ASS TO PROTECT KIDS. HELL YEAH.
it’s back! I will always reblog BACA
<3 This is forever going to be one of the most amazing things I’ve ever read on here
I’m so proud of these people who do this…who have found a way to take advantage of the way people perceive bikers and use it to HELP people by protecting people who are afraid <3
just so you know
the US minimum wage that we all agree is too low to live on ($15,080/yr) is far more than many legally disabled people receive in benefits
the maximum SSI for a single person is $8,796/yr if a disabled person marries another, each drops to a max of $6,600/yr
while you’re fighting for 15 maybe look at that too
Not to mention we aren’t allowed to have more than $2,000 saved at a time. EVER. Like EVER or we lose all benefits completely. In the bank, in cash, it doesn’t matter. The government literally keeps us poor, while also making us pay immense amounts of money for health care that we require to even survive or function (let alone work enough to be able to get off of benefits, not to mention that there are a ton of people who will never be able to do that anyways). It’s a very, very broken system and not one that was ever meant to actually help anyone.
Plus, “marriage equality” is still a huge problem for disabled people (as you can see), which is something almost everyone is ignorant to/doesn’t care about.
DO NOT LEAVE DISABLED PEOPLE OUT OF YOUR ACTIVISM.

Soo I got accepted into the college of my choice and the financial help I had originally has fallen through and I’m 100% on my own now.
If you have anything to help out with, even like 5¢ helps out. If not, that’s completely okay.
If you’re offended by me making a fund for this, scroll on pass, because I understand completely. I hate asking for money, I just don’t know what else to do.
The full story is on there and if you feel like even just checking this out, I’m forever grateful.
Thanks 😘
Help a girl out!
My buddy Terris made this video that pretty much precisely describes why we stopped playing on DSD and switched to GibCraft. It’s freaking hilarious, especially if you know everything that went on.
10 Takeaways from Terry Collins first 2016 Press Conference
Mets manager Terry Collins spoke with the media for 25 minutes ahead of the official start of 2016 Spring Training in Port St. Lucie. Below are his answers to some hot topics along with thoughts about the upcoming season.
World Series or Bust
“I don’t think it’s World Series or bust because it’s too long of a season. It’s about going out and competing. If we stay healthy and run our lineup out there on a consistent basis, we should win a lot of games. The best part is we now know we can accomplish it. We should be better because of it.”
Favorite thing from the offseason
“I did some things in New York and the response from the fans was off the charts. No matter where we were there were tremendous New York Mets fans.”
The first thing he noticed entering the Spring Training complex
“There’s a different air in the clubhouse. You see the energy and notice the heads are a little higher than they’ve been in the past.”
Who’s already standing out
“Have you seen Juan Lagares yet? He’s in unbelievable shape. The other day Ruben Tejada walked in and he looked the best he has in the four years he’s been here. Those guys aren’t taking anything for granted.”
What trait does he want the 2016 team to have
“Look, I want that swagger. We’re good. We have a good team. We can’t be ego maniacs about it, but you have to walk out with that confidence that we’re going to win.”
The plan for the David Wright
“He’s the one guy that has researched [spinal stenosis] more than anybody. When the [2015] season was over, he went back to California to see the therapist that got him back into the lineup and they came up with the programs he needs to do to get ready for the [2016] season. As we get into spring, him and I will talk about the best approach to getting his repetitions. We don’t have any numbers involved about how many days he’ll need off during the season.”
Who backs up Lucas Duda
“We’re going to run Wilmer [Flores] over there. He’s going to play some first base there this spring so we make sure we have a right-handed option. We believe our catcher’s are going to hit, but if you’re going to be moving them around to play other positions they have to be hitting. If we’re playing Travis [d’Arnaud] four days a week and he needs a day off, he needs to rest. To put him at another position will defeat the purpose.”
If the starting rotation is the best he’s seen
“I saw the Braves [in the 90s] all those years and they were great. I don’t try to number my guys, but if there’s a staff with five possible No. 1 guys, we’ve got it. We have four of the best arms in baseball and a Cy Young award winner in our rotation. That’s pretty impressive.”
Noah Syndergaard’s transformation
“He probably made as big of an adjustment from Spring Training last year to the end of the [2015] season that I’ve ever been around. He commanded the respect of his teammates because of the way he worked and commanded it from the other side of the field. This guy has a chance to be off the charts.”
What to expect in 2016
“Our fans are going to say this is a fun team to watch. Right now sitting here today we’re excited about getting started.”

First time in a long time I’ve been excited for the Mets’ season to start. #LGM
