The most frustrating part about giving my own characters sexualities and labels is that i always feel like it gives the impression that these characters are aware of this information and would actively use these labels for themselves when that is rarely ever the case

They do not know what aro or ace means, that dude would never describe himself as trans, that other guy is nonbinary but they got a job so they don't care about that right now, she's bisexual but if you ask her she'll just tell you everyone has a beautiful soul and move on, they use multiple pronouns but not out of choice people just keep on guessing and she doesn't mind and honestly kinda enjoys it but he's not telling you that

Ooc They're gay or bi or aroace or bigender or whatever the fuck but in-universe they're looking you in the eyes and telling you that every man on earth secretly wants to kiss other men and that's just a desire you gotta live with and that it's completely normal and they will not for a second question what this implies about themselves

A Kat... se tivesse um fandom rolaria um ship de enemies to lovers muito forte por aí, mas eles não se sentem assim em relação ao outro. Eles são próximos (eu tô me repetindo muito. Todos eles são um grupo de amigos, é claro que eles são próximos, ora bolas... claro que esse grupo de amigos tem sentimentos platônicos em relação um ao outro...), eles brincam que não se bicam, tem vezes que eles realmente se desencaixam, e depois ele faz aquela besteirona que a magoa muito, etc história vai história vem...

Aí chega o Nathan, esse carinha meio awkward mas que quando se conhece ele um pouco ele desata a falar de seus interesses, e o Jem percebe que eles encaixam bem com os seus próprios: jogos parecidos, opiniões parecidas, teorias parecidas (na minha cabeça um dos fatores p eles se aproximarem realmente é Undertale/Deltarune), e ele se sente confortável com o Nathan. É um sentimento bom. Mas quem percebe q é aquileano primeiro é o Nathan though

i mean this with full straightforward sincerity and not as any kind of backhanded compliment. but i think the most inspiring thing about jojo's bizarre adventure as a collective body of work is that it serves as definitive proof that wholeheartedly committing to your own style, voice, and tastes results in something infinitely more impactful than making something straightforwardly "good".

I’ve got true danganronpa brain rot - been powering through the games but so far the DR1 kids are still my faves. (also I’m not gonna pretend having been a teacher’s pet myself who had to study hard to get grade As and had a stick up his arse when it came to followin’ rules, didn’t have me vibing with Taka.) I rarely post anythin’ this indulgent but hells bells, given the last 12 months why not at this point. I’ve seen the “do you wanna kiss? Oops! I meant a Hershey’s kiss!” meme thing goin’ around here and there, but I got struck by the thought that both Mondo and Taka were such oblivious disasters that they’d 100% fall for it; hence. (also I’m British, I’ve never seen a Hershey’s kiss in the flesh - do they come in boxes? I have no idea. I was thinkin’ like Maltesers)
