You preach about Bigby being unfair, oppressing the disfranchised people from Fabletown. It doesn't change the fact that Bigby too is one of the disfranchised. You preach that he is an oppressor, but you send anon hate to duplicates and Bigbys that won't ship with you. Methinks this is more a scorned person's petty vendetta than anything.
I won’t say that Bigby’s actions were right --- they weren’t. He was unaware of the Crooked Man situation, turning a blind eye to certain activities likely because he knew how hard it is to scrape by so he had no idea what was going on. This, and the fact that the Crooked Man threatened people under his thumb many times over to don’t look for help. Soon as Bigby became aware of the problem, he admitted multiple times during the episodes that he was wrong and did the best to set things right. Regardless of the final choice or Bigby’s reasonings that the player makes during the game, he has this drive to take the real oppressor down.
It is ok to don’t agree with Bigby’s actions, as a Bigby RPer I don’t agree with many of his actions both in TWAU and Fables, but for the past two years this person did nothing but instilling a toxic behavior in the community, driving many Bigby RPers away (I know of 3 others besides me who left this fandom because of this one person’s nocive and unhealthy behavior and that was two years ago, idk how many more have left). And I noticed it started when multiple Bigbys RPers turned them down, with varying degrees of politeness. One of them even started shipping with a duplicate, and it was when both started to get hate. Even I got some hate bait, and I wasn’t aware it was bait until someone pointed out (and it was unsuccessful anyway).
If I ever come back to this blog, or RP as Bigby, I’ll make a point in not being affiliated with the community. I’ve made some nice friends here, there were great RPers that I still respect and admire, but it grew toxic the instant this one person came.
Oh yeah. fyi : if it isn’t endorsed by Vertigo, Bill Willingham or the TWAU/Everafter team, it isn’t canon. As much I loved The Dream Stealer and the wolf could very easily be Bigby, it isn’t part of the Fables canon. The same goes pretty much to every other work involving fairy tales characters, which are public domain. You are free to have your headcanons, but no one is entitled to foist them onto others.
