in defense of NLOGs

things people neglect to consider in those "not like other girls" posts convincing girls that they have more in common with other girls than they think:

if you're the NLOG sort, you likely didn't come up with that label yourself, these girls are othered (often for being neurodivergent or bi/gay, etc.) until they adopt it themselves. maybe even by those "typical" girls.

for a NLOG, being told that *you* should reach out to the typical girls (who again, may have bullied you) feels like it's putting a lot of the responsibility on the person being excluded and othered.

if you befriend those typical girls and find you have interests in common, they may still alienate you for the ways you are, in fact, still different from most other girls.

there's a chance that they will pressure you into doing the "typical girl" stuff. and to them its a fun bonding activity, but to you, it's a standard you have long been chastised for failing to meet.

they may not pressure you to be feminine. but it's also not fun to have all your friends bond over something that you've been treated like shit for not participating in.

this doesn't necessarily mean it's those girls' fault. or that you hate them. but it's still an isolating feeling that can make you, a hurt child, feel like it's not worth the effort to make friends with the typical girls.

because again. you, as a child, probably don't have the emotional intelligence or tools necessary to figure that stuff out on top of the other struggles of youth.

there are parallels and differences when it comes to adult gender non-conformity. but when talking specifically about kids, people are wayyy to quick to put blame on little girls as being self-obsessed, self-isolating, overly-sensitive, and "actually the same as other girls". it's out of touch with the actual experience.

This idea that in order to be a happy man you must deny the role of misogyny in your life is such an insidious lie because it forces trans activists to either shove every single one of these men (plus all the ones who dont even pass/transition/know they're trans now) under the bus, or discourage young boys from transitioning.

I encourage everyone to not be naive. The Epstein Files is not primarily a problem of class, mankind losing grasp of their reality, the tinfoil hats suddenly making sense, or conspiracy revelations. Unless you read “mankind” as overwhelming male, it’s a misrepresentation of the problem.

Language shapes the narrative and we must utilize it precisely so that real issues do not transform into spectacles. That is what is happening right now and it is not helping anyone but those who want to simplify this situation as the rich preying on the poor. The kind that is made for provocation and stops there. An echo that pierces nothing. Insisting a gender-neutral discussion on Epstein is the pinnacle of ignorance. Intentionally omitting the variable of prevalent gender patterned violence is not at all materialist. When you insist, “The elites abuse power.” you imply that power is a problem within itself but when you start looking at the problem holistically and conclude: Powerful men sexually exploit girls and women — you see a gendered pattern of violence that persists beyond class lines and, most of the time, is further intensified by it.

Let me ask you: What is the ratio between men and women in the files? How many women were on the files to confess they saw monstrosities and how many men inquired about “pizza”— a cryptic term speculated to be related to a pedophilia ring?

When you talk about the files and refer to the perpetrators as “elites”, you lose sight of the more important variable of the situation, they were disproportionately male. Elites weren’t the base of the problem, they are a particular demographic of males who were there. Everyone’s first mistake is assuming the issue is detached from male tyranny. That it is beyond the male-over-female dominance.

Remember this, the defining feature of the island was not about eating babies or being sickeningly wealthy. It’s the women and children’s sexual trafficking ring. Epstein, afterall, was a convicted sex offender.

Those who sent emails and explicitly mentioned sexual abuses towards girl children, those who have regarded Epstein as a good pal publicly and have asked for funding and have given funding, and those who were included in photos and videos with redacted children’s faces are disproportionately male. The “elites”, rulers in tech development, high ranking academics, and Hollywood celebrities you are referring to are not sexless, they are particular kinds of men. This is not a mankind problem, it’s a male problem. Until you all have wrapped your heads around the fact that this is barely a Left and Right wing issue because individuals from these coalitions were also reportedly a part of it regardless of their belief systems, the Epstein Files will remain weaponized for political agendas that do not address the underlying problem that is sex based oppression.

i'm going to try and post less about the epstein stuff for the sake of my own mental health but one thing that really strikes me about this is how shockingly no one seems to be willing to look at all of this from a specifically feminist angle. like people will go on about how the only reason epstein got away with what he did for so long is due to late capitalism and extreme wealth accumulation etc. which IS true to a certain extent, but also THE SINGLE CONSTANT WHEN IT COMES TO MEN WITH UNCHECKED POWER, REGARDLESS OF THEIR POLITICS, FOR LITERALLY THE ENTIRETY OF HUMAN HISTORY IS THAT THEY WILL SEXUALLY EXPLOIT WOMEN AND CHILDREN.

like in almost every civilization that has ever existed, whether it be feudal, capitalist, communist, etc., whichever men are considered to be the the most powerful or high status always have unlimited potential access (either through official or unofficial channels) to women and girls (and boys) both as a "perk" but also as a symbol of their power. like this is about as close to a universal truth as you can possibly get to. so like.......if you're trying to get a handle on what is going on with epstein and his whole network, you literally cannot get anywhere close to understanding it if you don't take the feminist lens into account.
