Case Study
Temporary Pavilion at the Aarhus School of Architecture
This is a pavilion made by students of Aarhus School of Architecture. The students have transformed the college quad into an activated social hub with this temporary pavilion. The structure is made with a 420 recycled euro pallets within a 10 days time frame.
This “Palletvilion” is a great precedent for Pavilion X and has great features that could be adopted into our project. The organic arrangement of the structure creates a nice touch with functional elements to it. The pallets overlapped and were stacked in a way that structural elements were not needed.
The simple materiality and layout of this pavilion is something Pavilion X can adopt given the budget and time frame.
