Thinking about blue whales
Fact: Members of the Pansexual Pantheon and the Bisexual Battalion have been longstanding friends and allies. Both partiesâ respective Pan-Powers and Bi-Powers are amplified when they are close together, and members of both societies often visit one another, bearing gifts and snacks to share.
Btw bi boys are amazing and I hope you all find someone who loves you and makes you feel warm and good this year
Last night someone gave Billie Joe Armstrong a big Bi flag to wear onstage.
It looked like the exact same flag I have hanging in my room. He wrapped it around his shoulders, sang a line or two, and then handed it back into the crowd. Now, at first, I thought it was just a rainbow pride flag. I had seen a few pictures online of Billie wearing those at concerts and I was like âFuck yeah!!!â But then he turned just a little and I saw, no, thatâs not a rainbow flagâŠthatâs the pink, purple, blue of the Bi flag. The colors of the flag hanging in my room. And my throat closed up. And my eyes welled up. And y'all, I swear I screamed the loudest scream ever in that moment. That was me. That was my flag, on stage, in front of thousands of people. With people just like me screaming with just as much joy to see a Bi man on stage wearing a Bi flag.
I didnât expect to be so emotional but I was. It wasnt a long moment in time. Barely a line or two. But Iâll always remember that moment where Billie wore a Bi flag in the middle of a concert and thousands of people cheered.
Black bisexuals will save your life, always.Â
STOP ERASING BI PEOPLE FROM LGBTQ HISTORY 2K17

Hereâs How and Why Sexual Identity Exists On A Spectrum
âOf course, nuance has always existed within the LGBTQ community, but this new way of thinking is gaining mainstream acceptance. While coming-out moments used to make headlines on national magazines (Ă la Ellenâs âYep, Iâm Gayâ Time cover in the â90s), todayâs celebrities are just as likely to leave their sexuality ambiguous. Consider that actors like Kristen Stewart and Cara Delevingne donât hide their relationships with women, yet neither plays by the Hollywood narrative of âgay or straight?â Amandla Stenberg also used social media to get her message across, taking to Teen Vogueâs Snapchat to identify as bisexual, but in a later video she said she âwould also use the word âpansexual.â â Adding,âI feel like for people who donât necessarily know that vocabularyâŠitâs easier for me to just say that Iâm bi.â
Think Bisexual+ People Have Straight Passing Privilege? Hereâs Why Youâre Mistaken
Bisexual+ people may not be perceived as queer if theyâre dating someone perceived as the âoppositeâ of their gender â so does that mean they have straight passing privilege?
You might think so, but try considering the perspective in this comic for a more nuanced answer to this question. Itâs a breakdown of the assumptions behind the idea of bisexual+Â âstraight passing privilegeâ â and the harm you cause by erasing peopleâs identities when you make these assumptions.
Itâs possible to acknowledge that different queer folks have different experiences without erasing anyone.
Bisexual+, Biromantic+ (Bi+ for short) is the commonly used âshorthandâ for the entire Non-Monosexual Community including but not limited to: Bisexual/Biromantic, Ambisexual, Flexisexual, Fluid, Heteroflexible/Homoflexible, Multisexual, No Labels, Omnisexual, Pansexual, PoMosexual, Polysexual, Sapiosexual, Queer, and so many more.
Bisexuality is the attraction to more than one gender, or to genders similar to- and different from- oneâs own.
Bisexual Erasure, Bisexual Invisibility is the tendency to ignore, remove, falsify, or re-explain evidence of bisexuality in history, academia, news media and other primary sources. In its most extreme form, bisexual erasure can include denying that bisexuality exists. It is often a manifestation of conscious and/or unconscious biphobia and/or monosexism.
Straight Passing, Hetero Passing, etc. is all those things you get just by being, acting, or appearing straight. Conversely, straight privilege is all those things you lose when you are, act, or appear as queer. Becasue hetrosexuality is (inncorectly) seen as the âdefaultâ state, it means that all people are initially assumed to be âstraightâ unless they do something to actively signal they are queer, ie dress, mannerisms, coming out, wearing pins, badges, t-shirts, jewelry, etc.
Trans Erasure, Non-Binary Erasure, etc, is the tendency to ignore, deny, or minimize the existence of trans, androgynous, gender non-conforming, genderqueer, NB, etc. people.  It is often a manifestation of conscious and/or unconscious cisexism and/or transphobia.
Let bi boys date girls
Who isnât letting themâŠâŠ
Gay boys who see me with a girl and say I shouldnât be allowed in lgbt spaces because Iâm actually really straight
Straight girls who see me as their âgay friendâ or who say they donât care about sexuality but wouldnât date a boy whoâs had sex with a boy
Straight people in general who say âisnât he really just gayâ or telling girls that Iâm actually gay and faking it with them
Gay people who say that because I have the option of dating a girl Iâm the same as the straight people who oppress our community
Gay people who say Iâll never understand oppression or what itâs like to âactuallyâ be gay
So thereâs quite a few people not letting them!!
yâall: bisexuals are fake bc they usually end up in m/f relationships
me, an intellectual: itâs easier and statistically more likely to find a straight person who is attracted to you and compatible with you than to find a lgb+ person who is, especially in small towns. not to mention the fact that a big part of lg community wonât date us, because they are biphobic. also a huge number of bis are nb, so m/f rhetoric doesnât even fit us. also. there is nothing wrong with bis being in a m/f relationship if itâs healthy. also. stop being biphobic itâs 2017 when will this stop
