@badaxefamily you suggested the japanese beetle! I have just discovered that Bugs Are Hard To Draw. As in, it's easy to draw a beetle, that you can recognise as a generic beetle in general, but if you have to distinctly make it a specific species of beetle, that's recognisable as such, that's a whole other thing.

Also fun fact: There are plenty of very good quality reference pictures of these ittle fellows. However, most of them are of them shagging.

When its said that some ppl truly live on the internet, we have memes like this as a testament. A lot of them of black ppl & their simple reactions to things that get blown up, shared & captioned like crazy across numerous social platforms to where they're used to project or convey things that just make us out to be cartoonish response props. And like she said, warps the origin behind the reactions when they're actually more serious than ppl realize or are informed ab. Its p racist too since no other race of ppls reactions (even those intentionally comedic or lighthearted) are used on the internet the way ppl use pictures, videos & gifs of black ppl for expressive purposes. Think ab it; there are even memes of black children — minding their own business or uncomfortably depicted — just making certain facial expressions that are used to exaggerate responses to things. Antiblack & dehumanizing.

Just finished rewatching She-Ra before it gets taken off Netflix tomorrow and, dude, I feel so hollow now.

This show will soon disappear just like Voltron and just like so many animated series before and after it. It sucks we live in a world where subscription survives have become the norm and physical media is being forgotten.

We NEED shows like She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, especially in this time! And knowing it'll be gone soon breaks my heart.

I hope ND Stevenson and Dreamworks are able to release it on physical or at least on another service so its not lost media like Infinity Train.

i love that horde prime's weakness is magic cause often in the show, magic reads as being synonymous with love. and i looove that catra's the first one to kinda point out that love is his weakness, and right after she laughed in his damn face.

she mocks him for not being able to see it coming, cause he mocked her for her obvious attachment to adora and sympathy for glimmer.

much like light hope with she-ra, he saw attachments as weaknesses, and like shadow weaver toward adora, he could only understand them in terms of something to manipulate. when he should've seen her strong emotions for what they obviously made her:

a threat.

and even after that, the moron still doesn't learn. he puts the person most likely to motivate catra's mind to fight the chip right in front of her

and causes the resurgence of she-ra by making adora confront the impending end of a life that would break her heart beyond any other. or at least, that's probably how he thought it would go down.

but it doesn't break her heart, just lights a fire in it. dude set himself up for failure twice in a row with these two.
