This blog was made by Gorgie/Gina, our amazing (new) host. She will probably mostly post here but almost everyone in the system can and probably will. It’s a bit chaotic here and we will post anything and everything we care about.

The way you handle having a child alter may be different from how another system does it, and that's okay

Child alters are very complicated. They can act like a literal child, or they can act like an adult. Every child alter is unique and requires different types of care

You only let them front if they have supervision? You keep them in child friendly spaces and avoid exposing them to adult themes? Cool!

Or, you dont supervise them, and let them do whatever they want? You let them smoke and work and engage in adult topics? Cool!

There is no wrong way to go about having child alters unless you are hurting them. But if they are safe, then care for them in whatever way works for you best.

reminder, for all who need it- you are not your programs. you are more than the sum of someone else’s actions towards you. you aren’t a burden towards your system, and you aren’t doomed to be bound to your programs. even if you’re still struggling with active programs, you are still an amazing person, and you are worth the world and everything in it. life is brighter with you in it, and your programs don’t define you!
