One of the key components of the reactionary mind today is just a desire to kill people. They want the death penalty, they want war, they want the National Guard to kill people, they want federal bureaucrats to kill people, they want police departments to kill people. I used to hate my birthday as a kid but it’s so much better in my 30s. My partner listened to musical soundtracks with me and she claimed to enjoy it which means the world to me! She took me to one of my favourite cafes then to a book store and treated me to some Vonnegut and Shirley Jackson. Honestly the best day I’ve had all year we watched some of my favourite comedies (the producers gene wilder version and clue).
