After a month of caring for Asta, he has sadly passed away. I was feeding him until 3:30am February 1st 2022, when I checked on him at 8:00am he was gone. According to the vet, his mother was likely malnourished and he had many severe vitamin deficiencies due to this. Despite our best efforts, he only lived to be six weeks old, however he had just been put back on painkillers so I’m relieved knowing that his last moments were without pain and with a full stomach. More chickies!!! Peeper is a week old and finally has chicken friends! They’re apparently just a day younger. Meet Peeper (the void chicken)! Of all the eggs incubated, peeper was the only one to hatch. For the first week of her life she was an only chick but she had her human dad and grandma for company. She’s very confident and social. Turkey wrap of misery pt.2 Poor thing wouldn’t stop flinging herself around with her wrap so we had it removed. She’s not supposed to be too active, just in case her wing pops out of place again so we have her in the birdie backpack. New room and cage! The renovations in my room at my parents’ place are finally done! No more drywall dust and paint fumes means that we can all go home. We have a brand new cage for the budgies, a window perch, and a cargo net for everyone to enjoy once we set up toys and more perches. I’ll finally have proper lighting for my bad photography 😂 Despite being born in this room I doubt Lily will recognize anything but the view. Bell has never had a window before, I can’t wait to see how much she likes it. MILLET! I haven’t posted logs for everyone yet so here’s a quick introduction.
