I don’t think the Duke of Norfolk has the attention span to be a heretic. He mostly seems to care about drinking and wearing a lot of garish clothing. That being said, even if he isn’t a Protestant, he has worked against the church for his own gain, which is bad enough.

There are many that call themselves men of the cloth who do not truly work for the church. Look at Wolsey, a prime example of a scoundrel who accumulated wealth, who worked against the wishes of the pope to gain power and wealth. That being said, the church has passed many reforms in recent years to prevent such corruption, and many who accuse the church of it are just looking to diminish its power in England for their own gain.

Well, Protestantism allows priests to get married, first of all. People will do a lot to quench their bodily thirsts. But mostly I believe it to be the Devil, invading England and leading people into the fires of temptation. Him, and Master Cromwell, which is basically saying the same thing.

how do you feel about anne boleyn?

Despite the beautiful song once composed in my honor (I only care about God and Thomas More/I kind of think that Anne Boleyn’s…a whore) I don’t entirely hate her. I much prefer Queen Catherine, obviously, but I mostly blame Anne’s rise to power on her father, Thomas Boleyn, who is the real asshole in these parts. We’ll never be friends, but I acknowledge that she was put in a tricky situation.

suffolk and norfolk are in another petty argument. what do you have to say about those frivolous temporal lords?

Tbh, I wouldn’t expect anything different from Suffolk and Norfolk. As long as they’re using up all their energy on Who’s Outfit is Prettier or Who The King Loves More they don’t try to interfere with Parliament, which is how I like it. Even if it’s ridiculous, it’s better for them to have their little duels so they can step back and let the big kids govern.

It’s to remind everyone that We’re All Going To Die and in order to get into heaven they should submit to the will of God and the Pope and not turn their backs on the church for the sake of their libido or power or being so far up the king’s ass they can see into his intestines. Not that I’m talking about anyone specifically.
