thats not what this is saying, it's saying that cis male privilege comes along with it the power to shift the atmosphere

if someone makes a bigoted joke and a majority of the people in the room cringe and say that's fucked up and display openly that that behavior isn't tolerated, it shifts the atmosphere and the tone. other people are less likely to agree with and allow bigoted statements because its not socially acceptable and none of their peers appreciate it. it ostracizes them and points those statements out as wrong to others

as opposed to if someone makes that same joke and everyone laughs. they'll be encouraged to do that more and learn that these opinions are ones that their peers agree with and are good

like this is basic psychology and understanding of privilege and social power dynamics

this is the whole point of allyship and using ur privilege to shift social attitudes and uphold better standards for what is and isn't socially acceptable
