Just thinking about some English words as a non-native speaker and losing my mind.

For example, to my Portuguese-spoken brain, kidnap comes from kid (criança) and nap (soneca).

So it sounds like... Soneca de criança. (A kid who is taking a nap?)

It's dumb, I know.
