Penetration is a gender-neutral act. Topping is gender-neutral. Bottoming is gender-neutral. You are not more or less of a man or a woman depending on how you fuck. You are not “fake trans” for having sex a certain way. You are not any less masculine for bottoming or any less feminine for topping.
Additionally, acting like being penetrated is an act of submission is deeply rooted in misogynistic, cisheteronormative ideas of sexual intercourse, as in "penetration is something that is done to women for the sexual gratification of the man, nothing more, therefore it is inherently degrading and feminine".
A cishet man getting pegged by his cishet girlfriend is not gay, he's not less of a man or submissive by default. A cishet man getting pegged by his cishet girlfriend can be sexually dominant and simply likes to be fucked in his ass - these two can co-exist. Yet, in the eyes of cishet society, a man that likes to have his ass played with, must enjoy it because it's "degrading" , not because it simply feels good.
That's why I so heavily preach about the difference between sub/dom/switch and bottom/top/vers. Penetration can be used to increase the feeling and severity of a power dynamic, but it doesn't create one. These two things are entirely separate from eachother, unless connected willingly.
you should reblog this version instead, actually
I have a heart condition. Nothing too serious that a bets blocker can't manage, but my heart rate got dangerously high. I could have had a heart attack, though, if it was left untreated.
From the time I was 13 to 18, I went from doctor to doctor, and got the same answer every time: you just feel anxious sometimes. It took 5 years, and me getting to a point where I couldn't stand for longer than a few minutes without passing out to get a doctor to listen to me and actually do the necessary tests. Anxiety really is the modern day hysteria diagnosis
List 5 things that make you happy, and put this in the ask box of the last 10 (or so) people who liked or reblogged something from you! :)
Ok, so it's kinda sad how difficult this was to answer but alas... in no particular order
1. My dog. My furchild. My precious little baby. Just... everything about her. How excited she gets when she sees me, her happy little tippy taps, her silly little wiggles... she truly is the light in my life
2. A good story. Be it fanfiction, a novel, random creative writing I come across online, whatever. A story that pulls me in and, just for a while, lets me escape
3. Academic achievement. Good grades, yes... but also that moment that I understand a difficult theory like it's basic common sense. When someone rhetorically asks a question they don't expect anyone to have the answer to, and I just know the answer, and when I reread the papers I wrote and realise that they sound like legitimate academic research papers... and I DID THAT.
4. MUSIC. It is my heart and soul. Music has gotten me through periods in my life I didn't think I would survive.
5. Fitness (how very basic of me, I know). Being able to keep up with a particularly challenging gym class, lifting heavier than I realised I could, running further and faster than I though I could
Hey, hey, look me in the eyes when I tell you this okay? The whole "do trans women or trans men have it worse?" debate going on right now is the most obvious CIA bullshit on earth cause honestly we've both got it pretty shitty and fighting each other isn't helping anyone
"theyfab" "theymab" how about I theystab you in the theychest
“Where are the trans men in history?” See. When you're born a gender that was forcefully married off, who had to live most of their life indoors, when you had to raise children, and had a lobotomy if your family thought you were a tad too odd, it's kinda hard to come out as a trans man now ain't it.
“Majoring in gender studies to become a barista”
The notion that the humanities are unimportant compared to stem ultimately comes down to the fact that there’s less money in those fields. Capitalism breeds anti intellectualism
internalised transandrophobia is knowing you are some flavour of FTM but trying to push it down because you'll lose your status as a "beautiful, strong girl who knows her way and her rights" and become "just a man".
This is transandrophobia
How do I explain to people that I'm a trans man but want to look like a femme fatale
i spent two years after coming out working myself back into the closet; dressing as femininely as possible, wearing makeup, acting "femininely". essentially i tried to forcefem myself, and ended up COMPLETELY miserable.
why did i do this even though i knew deep down what i was? because of radfems. because of anti-masculinity and transandrophobia within my own community. i constantly felt like i had to apologise for being a man, and for being attracted to them. i overcompensated so much - "at least i'm a feminine man!" -> "at least i'm not a binary man!" -> "at least i'm not a man!"
even when people weren't being malicious, there was such a lack of masculine representation in queer spaces that i didn't physically know how to accept myself. i was more confused and self-hating than ever in my life.
so to have so many trans women on tumblr tell people like me "just try to be a girl", "being a girl is better", "masculinity is a prison" feels like it's just pushing similar people out there further into their own personal prison.
your masculinity is PERFECT. you do NOT have to apologise for being who you are. you deserve a place in this community.
The thing about trans men v trans women discourse on this site (online in general I guess) is that I know it's all bullshit from people who are too online and entrenched in their little boxes of whatever to see the bigger picture.
There's this one woman I know, I knew her before she came out. Locally, in the scenes I'm in, she's a pretty public figure. I knew before she came out that way, because she already knew I was a trans man and safe to talk to, she'd built a shy little me up with her own big personality. She came out to me and I was so happy for her, and we talked about it a few times. She disappeared for a while after that. Maybe a couple of months. When she came back? That was the same woman that left, albeit with some fresh bolt-ons (as she does call her big ass titties), and looking fucking radiant and incredible, same woman with a glow like angels. I saw her one night, walked up to her at the bar, touched her arm, told her that she looked incredible and with a knowing smile asked simply, "how does it feel?"
She looked back at me with a smile like I've never seen before and said, "Amazing."
That's all I need to know about being trans together.
maybe I'm just a little too inebriated tho
Anyone who has seen enough of my posts are probably sick of this phrase by now, but I'm bringing it up again: my sister is a trans woman and I'm a trans guy... and I might be biased because I would go down swinging for her, but there is nothing purer to me than that solidarity between trans women and trans men/any trans masc and trans fem people.
We are two sides of the same coin. Our hurt is opposite but identical.
We are NOT each other's enemies
it's just me and my obsession with older men in leather jackets against the world
How you gonna be a transphobic cis gay man and turn around and call your asshole a “boypussy” stolen valor mf
Pssst... hey, hey gay guys?? Specifically all you cis gay guys that can't shut up about "oh EWWWW, vagina=woman so vaginas are gross EWWWW"... yeah, you guys???
CUT THAT SHIT OUT!!!
IT'S FUCKING TRANSPHOBIC, in case you weren't aware.
Now, I'm not telling you to go date/fuck a trans guy, if that isn't your thing fine. To each their own, I suppose. Bu for the love of all that is good in this world, PLEASE stop equating body parts to gender. Some guys have vaginas, some guys have tits... and hey, some of those guys don't ever want the surgeries to change that
STOP fucking excluding us trans guys from the mlm community. It's misogynistic and transphobic, not cute and quirky
P.S. to all the cis gay guys who would/do date trans guys: Keep up the good work fellas!!
