sometimes i think dan and phil are normal people who act normally off camera and have normal lives but then i see a video and it just suddenly hits me how WEIRD they are... they're middle school weird girls who never grew out of it... they thought their emo hair looked good until 2018... dan has a doge print shirt and shorts set that cost 250 dollars... they play what do you meme for fun... im gonna be real when i saw that thing that was like 'dan and phil must be dating bc who else would put up with them' i was like pfft thats silly theyre two really funny conventionally attractive men like who WOULDNT put up with them?? but then i remembered. they're like actually the weirdest people alive... and growing up together has NOT helped that whatsoever in fact it has made them worse... dan went from posting nudes with his teddy bear in 2009 to posting nudes with his partner like 15 years later they feed off of each other... genuinely they're the weirdest people and i love that but sometimes i forget because we're in a community of weird people so it starts to seem normal? but then i look at them from an outsiders pov and im like... if i weren't in love with them and also if i were normal i would ostracize them... they dont even have the capacity to pretend to be normal they just make weird sounds and have nonsensical in-jokes and sometimes dan does professional things to seem like a normal guy and then he makes a sims video and looks at phils toe really close up and you remember. nope.
