The Cost of Living
I know this is a fandom blog, and I apologize for this- but I need to say this. Because I’m not the only one. So, a rant. I got curious about something. If I were to drop out of college- which I’m not- I literally cannot afford to drop out- because of my insurance. If I did, I’d be paying $300 out of pocket. $100 for my insulin pods. And for a monthly supply of insulin- I’m gonna write down all insulin costs (keep in mind, these prices have gone UP since the article I’m using was written- in 2015.) Humalog (what I use): $254 Novolog: $255 Apidra: $241 Lantus (long acting insulin): $283 Levemir: $277.
That’s a month for a bottle. One. Single. Bottle.
I use the pens because Humalog doesn’t come in bottles in the dosage my pods require, and the pens are more pricey. But I get a shipment of a few boxes every 3 months, which comes out to be $1778~. Multiply that by 4 (how many times a year I get a shipment), and that’s $7112~. Now, add in the cost of out if pocket insurance and pods, you get $90,144. A year. The cost for me to LITERALLY LIVE is OUTRAGEOUS. I’m ANGRY because it should NOT cost this much for a diabetic to GET THE MEDICINE WE NEED TO LIVE. It’s not my fault my pancreas decided to die. This doesn’t even account for test strips, sterile pads, things I need as well.
It shouldn’t be this expensive. There’s no way it should be this expensive for a diabetic to live.
Let it be known that a man died last year, because he had to set up a GoFundMe in order to afford his insulin. Shane Patrick Boyle died on March 18th, 2017 from Type 1 Diabetes. He died because he was $50 short of reaching his $750 GoFundMe goal to pay for a month’s supply of insulin. He had to stretch out his dosages as long as he could- and developed diabetic ketoacidosis (a fatal complication that results from the body being unable to move glucose out of the blood and into cells, where it’s needed).
Someone with a disease should not have to stretch out their dosages because it’s too expensive to get the medicine they need. The price of having a disease that isn’t our fault- we shouldn’t be punished for this. It’s not our faults that our pancreases attacked themselves & killed themselves.
The price of simply living shouldn’t be this high.
Catch Braun Strowman’s debut album, dropping on iTunes, Amazon Music and Spotify this Tuesday!
If you get the chance I highly recommend that everybody get as stoned as possible and check out some Cuttlefish. Has legs on it’s face. Super good at camouflage. Changes colors to look like an acid trip you had once. Probably won’t judge you. 10/10
I feel like cuttlefish would judge me, just a little bit, for not being able to change colors.

FRESHLY PEELED SHEEPS
Fuck this. Does everyone just not see the blood scrapes on some of their backs and faces???!!! Anyone, seriously, correct me if I’m wrong because this is making me upset af
Domesticated sheep need to be sheared because they don’t shed their coats on their own and it can be bad for their health if it gets too big.
Also, it looks considering how close they cut that it went fairly well. I see like 2 nicks maybe, but with the photo it’s hard to tell. I mean, unfortunately, you’re going to nick a few animals because they don’t understand the order of “stand still” very well.
Sheep can die from heat exhaustion if they aren’t sheared.
Also, their skin secretes lanolin, which quickly soothes and heals any nicks they get during shearing.
in conclusion, it is good to peel the sheeps
Please peel your sheeps

Goddamned Mezolithic Megafauna’s what that is. Goddamned warranty expired on those things centuries ago, but do they care? Do they go decently extinct, like the ground sloth, gigantopethicus, or wooly rhino? Fuck that, they’re doing downhill runs on your favorite skiing course is what. Because Fuck it, is why.
Now I understand why moose are built the way they are.
It’s so they can gallop untrammelled through six-odd feet of snow.
Jesus Christ I read those mother fuckers could run 55km an hour but seeing it is another thing especially plowing through the snow

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short, but scream it at them in German because life is also confusing and scary.
We’ve survived. Let’s all just enjoy that for a second. There are plagues that have hit every single one of us reading this, and we’ve survived. There are moments when we’ve been at our worse and we powered through and we’ve survived. There are times when we wondered what the point is to keep going if we can die at any moment in our lives and still, we’ve survived.
We’ve lost friends, money, homes, and entire lifestyles. We’ve been sick, we’ve been forgotten, we’ve been overlooked, we’ve been rejected, and we’ve survived.
That’s fucking rad. I hope we all keep surviving, and I hope that we can all enjoy those times when things are pretty cool for a while.
