Happy birthday to me! 🎉

It's my 45th name day and I still feel (and I've been told I look) a decade younger. It's been a fantastic birthday weekend so far. I saw Backrooms with my roommate yesterday (which was absolutely bonkers in the best way!) and I treated myself to a couple of things that'll be arriving next week - a WoW Midnight hoodie and a really cool eyeshadow palette. I also got myself a couple of cool shirts! As well, my roommate got me a Young Frankenstein Frau Blucher t-shirt. 😁 (BLUCHER! 🐎)

All in all, one of the best birthdays I've had in a while! 😊 (Relationship stuff under the cut.)

I broke up with my boyfriend a week and a half ago after dating for almost a year. We tried, but for me there's too many differences between us. Namely, he likes to drink a little too much and he also leans right politically (I'm left-leaning). Regarding the former, the tipping point was last month when he was supposed to hang out with me on discord and instead he went out to drink. I read him the riot act later that night for standing me up and things weren't the same after that. It really sucks for both of us because I do care deeply about him and love him as a friend. We were friends before and we're trying to slowly transition back to that.

On the more positive side of things...

I have a coworker that I just started talking to and who I find kind of hot. I don't know yet where it'll go but I'm definitely attracted to him. It's too early to tell if it's mutual and it'll be a few weeks before we return to work (we both work at a convention center and we're on hiatus with the World Cup going on). By the way I've seen him look at me, I think he might be attracted but I don't know that for sure yet. I'm hoping to get to know him a little better while I lay low from dating (also, that'll give me time to find out through conversation if he's single 😉).

Poking my head out from lurkdom to offer up a random-ass default replacement for you! Had a wonderful holiday and I'm hoping to ease back into simming in the near future.

Anyway! I got inspired to do this after I saw @furbyq's streaked default replacements. It's also my first time using @asimtypical's beautiful hair textures. This was a fun one to work on, especially when it came to coming up with color combinations. I know streaked hairs aren't exactly to everyone's taste, so I'm also offering this in more conventional colors (Flash Powder, Depth Charge, Volatile, Explosive v2, and Smoke Bomb). As with all defaults, choose only one!

What's this: an online tool, which helps to randomize some common things in TS2 (works on mobile devices, yay, but you have to start it from horizontal screen orientation).

Why: You probably know how much stuff in the community rely on random number generators: townies creation, random events, in-game teen aging, etc.

I'm aware that there are a handful of similar tools online. Initially I made this for myself, since I wanted everything to be in the same place. For a long-long time this was just a text on white background.

But recently I decided I want to start to contribute to the sims community, which I was silently "stalking" for years (for decade?). I booked a weekend to make an interface, it's ugly thought, since my UI skills are negative :D But at least it's functioning, so...

Use cases

Randomize CAS sims personality, genetics, chemistry (known issue: sometimes you might receive a sim with 10+ nice points, on my list to fix, but treat it as a sign to create super sweet bun for your hood)

Randomize sliders clicks to create sims in Bodyshop, based on this tutorial by Pooklet (generates randomized clicks in one list, you can adjust amount of face templates and sliders according to how many you have, up to 35 each)

First 250 out of 500 random events, based on this list by @lavender-noire (really appreciate I got permission to use it <3). And I kinda like how it turned out ^^'

Last, but not the least...

It started as personal project, but I'm happy to listen to community's suggestion what else could be added there!

I am considering pets rnd, specific legacy related rnd, adding adequate randomizer for townies skills and badges. Background music? Dark mode UI? Sometimes random events require additional 1dN randomization, so i might add this as well.
