Sighing in defeat, he kneels beside the cot, getting to Jack's height.

"Who knew boy scout would be afraid to be alone. What if the press found out?" He teased, though there was worry laced in his tone. But he'd never show Jack he was worried. Less stress for him.

It's useless. There truly is no point when both men knew there was only one option.

Gabriel will be damned if Hanzo's going to make the choice for him.

Gabe opened his mouth, only to shut it. The jigs up, no point in lying about it now.

"...Why do you say that?" Hesitation runs through his voice, side eyeing his best friend before looking back at the paperwork in front of him.

No, there is no point in delaying this conversation. So why is Gabriel hesitating? Is he afraid? Afraid of what? Losing his best friend in the process? Or afraid he'll look like the villain in all of this?

"What lie? This organization doesn't exactly tell the truth all the time." Half truth, in all honesty. Maybe Gabe can redirect it towards blackwatch instead of just on him.

"Sorry, I'm not used to having that kind of attention. I guess it went right over my head." Hinoka chuckled hesitantly, "A good joke though! I get it now."

He did a double take, confusion written all over his face. A joke..? When does he joke?

Gabe’s frown became more permanent. He doesn’t know whether to feel offended or down right hurt. Or chuckle at the innocence she radiates. 

Maybe he should be more straight forward?

In all honesty, Gabe probably took it a bit too far. What was once a feeling of jealousy and annoyance was now replaced with shock, and a little bit of hurt. 

It’s understandable though. If Hanzo had asked Gabe if he had fun fucking the cowboy instead of him, he probably would’ve done the same thing. Actually, he wouldn’t have. He would’ve stormed off. But, he deserved it. 

Gabriel placed a hand on his slapped cheek, the stinging overriding other emotions and feelings. He shouldn’t have said that. For all he knew, they’re just close friends. It’s unnerving to see Jesse flirt with Hanzo, but he had faith in him. He trusts Hanzo.

He doesn’t trust Jesse, even if he is practically his son.

Once at the door, he lifts his fist up to knock before pausing at the sound inside.

Concerned, he didn’t bother to knock. No, instead he barged in.
