Katara from ATLA
This is a prize piece for a ATLA stamp rally taking place in MCM London.
Obsessed with how good the print came out.
Here’s the info about the stamp rally. The other artists’ work is incredible, I’m definitely taking a copy of the prize for myself haha

*sips root beer* What if we aren't mortal and us arriving in Limsa or Gridania or Ul'dah was us leaving behind another in a long long line of lives we've lived. We'd been on adventures in other places but that village, that city, that area is now dead and gone. The friends, families, or people who you knew are now long dead or have descended so far that they are strangers to you and have moved to other places. So you arrive in La Noscea, the Black Shroud, or Thanalan to begin a new. And these are new friends, new heads of states, new villages and capitals for the moment. But, you'll outlive them all in due time. And once they are all gone and strangers, it will time to take another ship far away. Where you aren't even remembered in legend or myth to begin anew in old places. Azem the Shepherd may of shattered and fragmented but we are forever immortal. And once places we call home become dust and collapse from time, we move to new places with new life to begin anew and forge bonds. Cause that is what it is to Shepherd the Star and its people. Even if they forget you, even if you take on a new name, a new title, a new role, you walk among them. An immortal always lending them their aid, even when Amaurot only weighed its own betterment against the many other civilizations you walked amongst the stars in those days none remember. Your peers do not remember you any longer. They have gone insane, lethargic, or a shadow of their former selves. So they never recognize you, no matter how many times you walk among the mortals or how often you clashed before.

"Higher education is not the racial utopia that Republicans are scared of. It is not some bizarro world where students of color wield power over white students and faculty. It is a white supremacist system at its core, like all our other systems are. That is shown in the numbers. Black students, Hispanic students, Indigenous students, and Pacific Islander students all fare worse on college campuses than white students- they are far less likely to be admitted, and when they are admitted, they are far less likely to graduate than white students.
I remember sitting with Black social work students on a campus in illinois. They told me they had chosen social work because of all the ways in which they had been failed in their own lives by social workers and others who held similar positions of authority and local government. They wanted to be able to support people whom traditional social work had left behind, like them. The students shared their struggles to make it out of areas like Ferguson, Missouri, and into college when so many people had told them it wasn't possible. Some students were homeless during their first years of college.
They talked about how all the professors were white, and how in every class their professors pathologized people who looked like them and who came from the communities they grew up in. They talked about how they struggled to make good grades in classes that wanted to teach them that people who looked like them were fundamentally broken. They put up with these insults and hurdles so they would have a chance to be social workers who could tell their community members that they weren't flawed.
I say all of this to make the point that I really hate defending higher education. It is a broken system that can do a lot of harm to marginalized people. Yet it's the best place in America for our young people to formulate their social and political consciousness. How very sad."
