Uniforms of the Abbey of the Everyman - Gristol Edition
Combinations of canons and a bunch of my headcanons. A few notes:
-Counterfeit Overseer masks can be a potential liability for Overseers and they must be avoided. The genuine thing is a Tyvian Ore composite, and what comprises the rest is not entirely known to the general public. The formula is patented and is kept a secret from everyone bedsides the manufacturer. Counterfeit masks have some Tyvian Ore, but a great less amount, mixed with low quality brass. This inhibits its bullet/bolt stopping capabilities.
-Masks are expensive to produce. Each Overseer treats his mask like an extension of himself. More valuable than a blade or pistol, this masks not only protect Overseers from bolts and bullets, they also protect their identities. For better or for worse.
-There are two versions of the Standard Uniform: summer and winter weight. Southern Gristol Overseer units typically wear the summer weight variants due to the slightly warmer climate than its northern counterpart. North Gristian Overseer units typically wear the winter weight variants, as it is warranted by the more frigid and rainy climate.
-Warfare uniforms are made of a higher grade wool that is interwoven with silk from Wei-Ghon. This combination aids in protection against knives and also enemy swords, though to an extent that depends greatly on the strength of its weilder. This uniform is lighter than the standard Overseer garb. All of this in combination makes this uniform variant significantly more expensive to manufacture, so only select members of the Warfare Overseer Battalions throughout Gristol get this.
-Ceremonial uniforms are not available to the common Overseer. They are considerably ornamented, and used for parade and matrimonial purposes, along a few other select occasions. They must be turned back into their local Abbey issuing facility after the respective Overseer uses the uniform. Needless to say, they are expensive to manufacture and are much more limited in supply than the standard or even warfare uniform variant.
-The lining in each of these uniforms is water resistant, not water proof, so that the material is still breathable. It is a rubber fabric composite, as straight rubber was found to melt in the heat. This lining serves to prevent conditions such as hypothermia in the thick Gristol rain.
(Guys this is like the third time I have uploaded this, forgot the Abbey symbol on the mask the first time, then forgot the lineart version on the second time lol)
