My first official d&d character. Finally had the chance to play for the first time. I’m pretty happy with the result.

i like how, in CR2, everyone’s backstories were shady and wrapped in mystery but, in CR3, the he/theys are holding the narrative at gunpoint until everyone explains What the Fuck is Up.
ANDRE DE SHIELDS?? PHILIPPA SOO AND RENEE ELISE GOLDSBERRY? JOEL GRAY?? BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL?? BERNADETTR PETERS????? IS THAT CHITA RIVERA???? BEBE NEUWERTH??
Sometimes the universe pulls all the strings at once. The film of Jonathan Larson’s pre-Rent musical, Tick Tick Boom, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, who saw Rent on his 17th birthday and beat his own ticking clock with a Tony at age 28, opened on Netflix on November 19. Exactly one week later, the legendary Stephen Sondheim, a profound influence and mentor to both Jonathan and Lin, passed away at the age of 91.
Almost as if Mr. Sondheim was waiting around to see how a show whose writer he had supported turned out when it was directed by another kid whose work he had supported. As if he said, in the words he wrote for West Side Story in 1957, “You done good, buddy boy[s]” and knew he was leaving things in good hands.
Mr. Sondheim wrote a lot of words. These are the ones I’ve been listening to since Friday, from Into the Woods:
Sometimes people leave you
Halfway through the wood
Do not let it grieve you
No one leaves for good
You are not alone
No one is alone
just watched "tick tick boom" and ive been real tired but this fucking movie got something that simply broke me
no offense not to be a theater kid on main but andrew garfield put his whole pussy in this movie
Protection of property and prevention of theft have never been a priority for police. Even when they do show up hours after you've called to report a robbery, their response is generally, "well, what do you want me to do about it?"
People talk about defunding the police like society will suddenly devolve into lawless chaos, but what exactly do cops do besides hand out tickets and escalate situations they're meant to defuse?

Caduceus: Offense intended, some of you are dumb.
Veth: These violent delights have violent ends for you. Not for me, though.
Beau: My fear of abandonment? Well that comes from my experience of being abandoned.
Caleb: Recent studies have shown that, in order to make room for learning spells, wizards will willingly give up the part of their brain where they learn from the consequences of their actions!
Jester: Anyone else in here a false prophet?
Yasha: Sorry I’m late. The radio started playing that song that I’m operantly conditioned to kill people to and it was just this whole thing.
Fjord: Sir, your tits are simply diabolical.
Our system is broken. It is cruel. It is dehumanizing, degrading, and it’s vile nature is so, so unnecessary.
We need universal healthcare today in America. We needed it 40 years ago. It’s cheaper, it’s simpler, it’s more efficient, it’s more effective and it is so, so, so much less cruel than what we have.
Additional sources/references:
Universal Healthcare Cost in America would be cheaper by trillions of dollars
The US has worse life expectancies than socialized healthcare countries
We have worse generalized healthcare results
We have the most expensive care
Our system is so cruel and unique that doctors from other countries literally can’t believe what happens here
I can’t tell you where or how to activate to help solve this. There are politicians, groups, and activists pushing for this in so many ways. I can tell you when, though.
Now.
i’m obsessed with this painting called tomato king and i’m even more obsessed with the man who drew it. his name is stuart dunkel and he is a classical oboeist and he also paints tiny little oil paintings of mice living their best lives. he looks like this.

Thank god for a competent woman.
Harper! Big gentle Firbolg exiled from his home territory. He really wants to help but also feels like a major screw-up pretty much 24-7 … so he tends to just avoid people and herd sheep.
Unfortunately, he’s being foisted into a situation where he has no choice but to help. Ah, well, must be part of some, like…grand cosmic plan…or something, man…

y'all think this is a joke but this is my mom every time we go through TSA at the airport, she always brings herbs and spices in ziploc baggies in case the airbnb has insufficient supplies (just to let you know, that's pretty much always the case) and she always travels with a straw fedora no matter the time of year or weather or place we're going to and the TSA always pulls her aside due to the baggies getting pinged and they'll test a pinch of each spice on a little chemical testing sheet of paper or whatever to make sure they're not explosives and finally give her back her spices and the rest of her possessions and she then, literally, packs her spices and herbs up in her little suitcase and puts her silly hat on
