Tiwayo - Up For Soul

Nicknamed “The Young Old” for his timeless voice, Paris-born soulman Tiwayo drops “Up For Soul”, the second single from his upcoming album “Outsider”, produced by Grammy-winner Adrian Quesada of the Black Pumas. The single hits January 14, 2026, with the full album arriving April 10, 2026 via Record Kicks.

“Up For Soul” grooves hard, an uptempo soul cut born from a day-long immersion in Sly Stone and Johnny Guitar Watson. Tiwayo says: “The lyrics play with my everyday reality as a musician. It’s about the highs and lows, the constant self-stimulation, the fragile nature of this work — all wrapped in 70s soul clichés that really fit.” The band locks in tight, and a lush strings arrangement from Sly5th Avenue — who happened to be working next door — elevates the track to pure soulful fire.
