Ragatha probably had a similar childhood to mine, just rich. Wonder if the horses were on their property or if they had to board them? Grandma did have horses in the old barn back in the 70s, so it's reasonable Ragatha had a barn on the main house property. The barn definitely was her escape through childhood, the only place she could "run away" to without the fear of her mother. The fear... it shouldn't mean what Christians make it. The fear of God feels like a bad translation. But the fear of Mom is worst. God can't slap you, threaten you, make you kneel on grits as punishment, whip you, tell you you shouldn't smile with your teeth showing because even the braces didn't fix that, convince you that the only people who would even like you are idiots. How many nights falling asleep crying quietly, feeling like you're being hugged by the only thought keeping you sane, while she's down the hall screaming at another. Ragatha had siblings, was she the oldest? All expectations falling on her? Younger siblings out shining her, making her more of a failure in her mother's eyes. Though I guess being born because your religious cult thinks birth control is evil is better than being born solely as a slave. Sure childhood friend would say differently, being the oldest of a family in a religious cult. Glad she married to that girl and got away from them. Would Ragatha have been allowed technology? Friend's family were just anti-consumerism so they avoided things with commercials. Though in the 90s they didn't have a tv or any physical media. Wasn't until the early 10s did they get dvds. How was NCSI okay for them!? Then again, that was also when the girls could start wearing pants around the house. With Ragatha's family being well off I think they would've had an early computer but no TV. Ragatha would've gone to a private school growing up. Best way to hide the abuse her mother is throwing her way next to home schooling, which her mother would not have the time for. Dad? He left. They're not divorced, too much of a scandle, but he's living with another woman. He couldn't handle her anymore. Don't blame him for that but blame him for leaving her. Ragatha gets the abuse worst when her mother is missing him, saying she should expose him and get the community to stone him for adultery. Ragatha also deals with the brainwashing from her mother, claiming her father hates all of the kids and her especially. Hey, maybe she's still allowed to see her grandparents, though they might be as bad. Mom's mom is mental and Mom's dad threw a whisk at Ragatha as a child. Mom claimes her parents let someone rape her when she was a kid so she's doing better as a parent for Ragatha.

Wow, that got dark. But you can tell I'm getting ready to start writing the layout for Ragatha's adventure in Nostalgia.

Out of the group, I feel like Gangle had it the easiest. Though that in of itself isn't much. Allowed to follow her passion, even if she had to hide it from her peers. She was born around 1990 so she would've been at the tail end of bullies like that being normal. Though I say that being 4 years younger and only learning about the weeb world in high school. She could've had a school life similar to cartoons in the 2000s. Just before you could claim being a vampire to get your bullies to get off your back. Wow, cridge young Kiwi, but it did get him to stop messing with us out of fear that I'd actually do it. But calling out "no homo" was still common practice so she would've defintly had to hide her likes. Wonder if Afterschool Nightmare had come out before she got stuck in the circus. Though that'd be more relating to Zooble or Jax than her. Wonder how many times she got called out for getting distracted by friend's boobs and having to cover it up as just reading their shirt. While fighting. Yeah, no way young Kiwi got away with that, really?
