get yourself a main character whos two primary emotions are "little cunt" and "catatonic with grief"
My body is a machine that turns Defiant Whumpee into a helpless, begging, drooling, bloodied, and trembling beautiful mess on their knees at Whumper's feet
A leader character usually so calm and composed that when they don’t hold back a cry of pain other characters lose their sense of reality. They were not scared before, knowing their leader was in control as always, but now they are chilled to the bone.
When Whumpee wakes up bound, looks around and sees their team unconscious and tied up like them, they promise themselves - no matter what happens, they will not allow Whumper to hurt their team. Never.
big fan of the listless dissociated look that whumpees have after something that causes incredible pain (whether emotional or physical just a Lot of it) - when their eyes are focused on nothing and their mouth is a little open and maybe they're covered in blood and they're limp and just move with whoever is pulling them up rather than actually using any of their own strength. when blinking is the only acknowledgement they can give that they can even hear or understand what's going on. when they aren't even crying because that would take too much energy. they're just... tired. empty. dazed. yeah. big fan
when men are hiding the fact that they're all broken and battered and bruised up underneath their clothes, they're basically wearing lingerie. to me
the best thing you can do to a character make them averse to touch and absolutely starved for it
women in STEM (suffering, torment, excruciating pain, misery)
thank you for tagging your ocs this post is also about an oc
Moisture- blood, tears, water dripping from sodden hair- combining with grime on a character's face as it runs down to leave pigmented tracks streaked across their face in its wake.
I'm back in the fucking building again so here's a small list of warnings a bound and gagged whumpee would do to warn their rescuers of a trap:
Frantic head shaking
Eyes darting towards the threat. Subtle but great
Screaming out through their gag. Of course, unless the gag is loose or ineffective, the rescuers won't understand them
Thrashing against their bonds. Especially if the rescuer is trying to untie them!
In a call, Whumpee would act out of character, or say a code word that only the rescuer knows, or similar, to warn them that it was a trap.
Knocking something over.
Hurting or even killing themself, The Highwayman style if you like
Telepathy. Too easy IMO though
(Feel free to add anything else!)
Someone pls I need a defiant whumpee to tie to a chair and sit in their lap while they glare furiously behind a gag and turn their face away when I kiss their cheek
bzzzt?
Spy Whumpee being tied down and electrocuted as a part of their interrogation. They're at this set voltage that's already painful enough, as if their skin and muscles underneath are being pierced by needles relentlessly. The moment the shock is stopped, Whumpee slumps forward in the chair, breath ragged, trembling from the aftershocks. Whumper steps into their line of blurred vision. "I can do this all day, you know, but I'm not very sure about you." Whumpee tries to even out their breathing. They've been trained for this. But it's been too long. They can feel their body giving out. Their resolve to keep their organization's secrets hasn't cracked, yet, but their capacity to keep enduring is definitely going to reach it's limits. They don't speak. Whumper doesn't speak either. They lazily stride over to the machine delivering the shocks, and Whumpee's gaze follows them. Their eyes widen as they notice Whumper turn up the voltage. No. Oh, nonono. Gods, no- The next moment is filled with this organ-deep, visceral agony that they can't even comprehend.
“Stop this — you can’t —“
“Whoa, whoa, whoa.” Whumper cuts Whumpee off, grabbing them by the roots of their hair and wrenching their head back so their neck is exposed and vulnerable. “I don’t know who you think you’re talking to. I can do any damn thing I want.”
I always see the whump community hating on healing magic but GUYS
Everyone can survive more injuries. Go nuts.
Healing magic that exhausts the user, leading to an entire team of whumpees when the healer faints after saving their wounded friends.
Healers in pain tearing out pieces of their own life force to save the life of a friend.
Healing magic that works best with contact and close proximity: holding the whumpee’s hand, stroking their hair, forehead kisses, whumpees being held and cuddled…
Very sore and weak whumpees who just recovered from something too quickly.
Healing magic that hurts…
Healing magic that feels good and warm, soothing the whumpee’s consciousness away into a deep sleep in the healer’s arms.
Characters with a healing factor putting themselves between their friends and the threat, taking bullets for teammates because they can heal.
Characters with healing factors being tortured or cruelly experimented on.
Healing stasis: limp, broken, very unconscious whumpees behind glass or floating or laid out on an altar.
The whumpee coming out of stasis taking quite a while to fully regain consciousness.
Healers saving everyone else but passing out before they can heal themselves.
those little sounds of relief when a character’s been given a chance to rest after being severely hurt. that’s it; that’s the post.
really nice gift for Specifically Me when the character has an immediate and violent panic response to being held down / physically restrained. especially if their affect is usually cheerful or relaxed or reserved and this is their one "sicko mode (wildly uncharacteristic)" button.
