Warrior of the Sun in Moon
Chapter Three: What's Wrong With Being Confident?
Warnings: Like on mention of raping and a mention of a suggestive comment
âYou need to help me.â
You shut Telemachusâs door behind you, strutting farther in without knocking.Â
âGods!â Your brother cried, jumping out of his seat in surprise. Youâd approached silently, not making a sound as you had entered his room. Now, you stood right in front of him; heâd leaped out of his chair and whirled around to face you. His shoulders relaxed as he saw that it was only you. âYou really need to stop doing that, Y/N.â
You placed your hands on your hips sassily as you smirked. âMake me,â you challenged.
Telemachusâs lips twitched up in a smile. âOh, itâs on!â
He lunged at you, arms out to tackle you in a hug, but you sidestepped, giggling. His room was huge, so you had a lot of space to dodge your brotherâs advances. Telemachus grabbed your wrist, but you latched onto his forearm with your other hand. With what seemed like practiced grace, you judo-flipped him, ending up on his stomach with your knee in his chest.Â
âMercy!â Your brother teased. âLet me up, Y/N!âÂ
You tapped your finger to your chin as if considering. Then you looked back down at him with a wide smile. âOnly if you help me.â
Telemachus narrowed his eyes. âWhat would I be helping you with?â
âOh, yâknow,â you said casually. âJust some revenge.â
âOn Antinous,â you added, knowing that your brother would do anything to get back at his bully. You stuck out your hand, looking at him expectantly. âWell?â
Telemachus sighed, grabbing your hand, giving it a firm shake before you hoisted both him and yourself off of the ground. âItâs a deal.â
âWhat did he do to you?â Telemachus asked, wide eyed after you explained the plan to him.
You bit your lip, debating whether to tell him or not. If you did, he might go into over-protective brother mode, but if you didnât, heâd probably have to find out from Antinous himself. You sighed. âHe kinda made me kiss himâŠâ
âNo, no, no!â You said quickly, throwing up your hands. âIt wasnât like that. Earlier, I snuck out again- donât you dare tell mother,â you snapped when he opened his mouth. âAnd I killed a deer. Like usual, yâknow? And then when I was trying to climb back up the wall, I used an arrow tied to a rope in order to shoot it up there, because, this is like a huge buck weâre talking about. So I climbed up, easy-peasy. But when I tried to come downâŠâ You trailed off.
âYour foot got tangled in the rope,â Telemachus guessed. âAgain.â
You huffed, crossing your arms. âYes, again,â you grumbled. âLong story short, I was hanging upside down, blood was rushing to my head, blah, blah, blah. Then Antinous found me- I donât even know how; heâs not known for taking strolls- and he bribed me. A kiss in exchange for getting him down.â
âYou didnât actuallyâŠâ Telemachus twitched his eyebrows.
You giggled. âOf course not, brother!â You exclaimed. âYou shouldâve seen me; you wouldâve been so proud of my acting skills! He actually bought the âDamsel in Distressâ thing that I was pulling off!â
Telemachus chuckled, visibly relaxing. âAlright,â he said. âHowâd you weasel your way out of that one?â
âWell,â you started. âHe never specified where to kiss him, the imbecile. So I simply walked over and kissed him on the cheek. Oh, and I left the deer for him, after taking the antlers.â You leaned closer. âBut you wanna know the best part? I drugged that buck.âÂ
Telemachus let out a loud bark of laughter, and you grinned as you shushed him; no one was supposed to find you hidden behind a barrel in the storage room.
âSo,â Telemachus said once heâd settled down. âHowâre we planning on doing this?â
You looked at him like he was nuts. âLiterally go up to Antinous and punch him in the face.â
Now it was your brotherâs turn to look at you like you were insane. âWhat? Iâm not doing that! Heâll pulverise me-â
âPlease, little owl,â you begged. âPlease, please, please, please, please!â You grabbed onto the sleeve of his tunic. âI didnât tell you that he made a suggestive comment!â
âWhat?â Telemachus demanded as he rose to his feet. His eyes flickered with anger, face twisted into a scowl. âHe said what?â
Your brother didnât even wait for an answer, storming out of the room and toward the dining hall, you scurrying after him.
âYou dirty, rotten, good-for-nothing, scum-eating, bastard!â
You found Telemachus facing Antinous, bristling with uncontrollable rage.Â
âWhoa, whoa, whoa, little wolf,â Antinous said with a smirk. âWhatâs gotten under your skin today?â
âItâs not what!â Telemachus shouted, taking a swing at the suitorâs face. âIt's who! And itâs you!â
Antinous grabbed his fist, smile stretching wider. âAnd what have I done today, little wolf? I havenât even talked to you this fine morning.â
âYou made my sister kiss you!â Telemachus spat. âAnd you put suggestive comments in her ears!âÂ
Antinous raised his eyebrows innocently. âI didnât make her kiss me. She chose to.â
You gasped in horror in outrage, emerging from your spot in the shadows. âI did nothing of the sort!â
âAh!â Antinous let out a laugh that sounded less boisterous and more⊠nervous than before. âIf it isnât the princess herself!â
You fell upon him, teeth bared in a furious snarl. You werenât in control of your movements anymore- you simply punched and slapped and kicked.Â
Before you could even realize what youâd done, Antinous was pinned beneath you, your knee in his chest in almost exactly the same position it had been when youâd pinned Telemachus. He gazed up at you, eyes wide and filled with something you couldnât name.Â
âBeautiful,â he murmured under his breath.
âWhat was that?â You asked sharply, bringing your forearm to his throat as if daring him to say it louder.Â
âYouâre beautiful,â Antinous answered shamelessly.Â
You bared your teeth at him, standing up. You grabbed Telemachusâs bicep, dragging him out of the doors behind you. You glanced behind you one last time, narrowing your eyes at Antinous, who was still laying on the ground.Â
He gave a small smirk, and you scowled in return.
âI hope that taught you not to mess with a woman,â you hissed as you exited the dining room.
