Simple explanation of the bills that farmers in India are protesting - in TikTok form!

Celebrating these wins for increasing the diversity of representation in government! 🎉

when sypha said ‘i serve no demon and do no evil’ i thought the alternative was something like serving god and doing good but with magic and i was like ok but turns out there is a third option which is ‘i serve literally no one and i do what i want and god can eat my entire ass’

AMERICAN REFLEXXX
holy shit
American Reflexxx is a short film documenting a social experiment that took place in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Alli Coates filmed performance artist Signe Pierce as she strutted down a busy oceanside street in stripper garb and a reflective mask. The pair agreed not to communicate until the experiment was completed, but never anticipated the horror that would unfold in under an hour
The result is a heart wrenching technicolor spectacle that raises questions about gender stereotypes, mob mentality, and violence in America.
You see how quickly it escalates– and how quick people are to harass when they feel there is no reprecussion. But as soon as they are confronted, they ran away.
Notice that it’s a cis woman who shoves her down and that there are cis women hurling slurs at her right along the men. You can’t just chalk this up to male violence and act like it’s not your business. Cis women who consider themselves allies need to take a stand against violent transmisogynist cis women just like men need to take a stand against violent rapist men and white people need to take a stand against white violence.
This was really good
A reminder why we still need Pride…and why Pride that is not Trans inclusive is utterly useless.
So, this happens every time I make a donation post and I want to talk about it: trying to help when you have no money.
Hey, being poor is okay, having no money to donate to someone you want to help is okay. This shit happens. It’s also okay to try to help without sending money! However, it’s less okay to be weird about it in a person-in-need’s inbox/DMs. But don’t worry! I’m gonna help you help others in a way that can actually be helpful and caring.
1.) Dont put the onus of how you can help on the person you’re trying to help. Don’t message people being like “I have no money, what other ways can I help you?” . You’re asking someone who has no knowledge of your skills or capacity to give you tasks out of thin air during a time of struggle. You’re not helping, you’re causing more stress and showing you care more about getting a cookie for being a good person then actually helping someone.
2.) Make specific offers. If you have a skill or a resource you can offer, then just offer it. If you’re local and have a garden but no money, you can offer some fresh veggies. You can offer even more non-essential stuff like art, or tarot readings or whatever you are good at! Like even when I’m struggling to make ends meet, I still like receiving something fun for just me.
3.) Be okay with a “no, thanks.” Don’t take it personally. A lot of times donation posts are made to fulfill a specific need and that need involves money. Don’t push a person in need to accept your offers if they decide that they’re not what they need right now.
Being a good activist is letting go of ego and getting credit for things you do. This includes helping those in need.

Yo, consider donating to Wikipedia, reasons for why they mainly point out for themselves, but they really aren’t asking for much. With so few good companies left that honestly want to help their people and spread knowledge instead of selling us to advertisers, lets try to keep them afloat! I don’t care if you use them to remember something about a character from your favorite series, or for learning about actors, or getting a more comprehensible summary for whatever your teacher was talking about in class. Please help keep this sorce of information available for everyone!
Reminder to donate!!! I got mine today and for the first time in my life I used my card online because this is extremely important to keep this place running. Please donate as much as you can!!!
