Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I love Phil's name??? I didn't know matchbox collecting had a name, I just found out while searching "matchbox phil" to try and figure out the pun behind your OC's name, and knowing now about phillumeny, I can't stop thinking about how clever it is!!!
Date Everything names are something I'm not normal about. I come from the Ever After High fandom, I know a punny name can make or break a character, and I think Phil's name is perfect!
Btw, is Phil short for something, or is he just, Phil?

And yeah his name is just Phil. I did have a brief suggestions with friends how maybe it should be short for Philippe, but i decided not to. He was meant to be paired with Scandalabra from the very begining i designed him and (spoiler alert Beyonce this point) since Jon's name is Jonathan i figured it would be funnier if only Phil would have the privilege of using a full name when angry XD
Im a monster high kid myself, and I too LOOOVE pun names, I just think they're so clever sometimes and i was lowkey proud of coming up with Phil's name, even if its a generic name (then again it makes him a more realistic 'person' than some fantasy name would)
And so this post aint only text im deciding to share an unposted sketch I struggled with and a previously not seen sketch of Phil's possible redesign if i go through with it. Unfortunately I did stop making art of DE for a while because I have A LOT of hyperfixations, but I did get art of Phil commissioned by other artists! ^^
