Food group swap!

#Doodles #Pajama Sam #Florette #Luke Wigglebig #Flukette #'Sup it's been like a year and I'm comin' back atcha with a design swap lol #What if they were each other's type of food! What might that look like!#I think Florette would be cotton candy and Luke would be a radish lol #The only real change would be the nature of their insults lol - Luke is no longer a flathead and Florette no longer a shrub #They're still both delegates and both their same heights and limbs - although I guess now Luke has feet lol #And Florette has a wrapped paper body! Y'know like a cone - what's used for cotton candy at state fairs and the like lol #It's wider than average which also makes it looser - so she can wrap and unwrap herself to act as limbs in place of the jacket I gave her #Luke gets to keep his arms tho! How unfair!#I guess the General did have arms and he was a veggie so it's not like it's unheard of #And like the Ice Cream Cone guy from the S.S.A.M. didn't have arms so! There's precedent on both sides!#Mostly it was just a lot of fun seeing how much I could bring them out in their design while being completely different lol #They've still got the same catty attitude towards each other (and ship as far as I'm concerned cough) lol #But turning Luke's lapels into a leaf collar and giving him more leaves for hands ah! They're really fun to draw actually haha #And cotton candy is already an obvious favourite for me lol #Yes I was imagining her as a blue/pink combo lol I'm very predictable #I guess she could be green :0 Pastel green isn't exactly common but cotton candy can be any colour so #A radish for Luke felt obvious tho lol - pink veggies are a thing! Lean into it #They were both really fun to design and doodle bouncing off each other hehe ♪

No I don't know those cake pop ladies I swear I've never met them in my life #They're just one-off designs for the purpose of showing off Luke's reactions lol don't mind them #They are cute tho #Thinking about Hitch of all things - the scene where he's teaching Albert the correct hand placement to be flirty but not skeezy lol #Luke's totally a gentleman don't even worry about his lurid past lol #Something something being respectful because he doesn't know what else to do with the culture shock lol #Florette's just having a nice time good for her haha #Kiss ♥ They have a pretty incredible height difference considering she's standing and he's laying down lol #Cute and fuzzed out about it ♪ I just like kisses to be enjoyable for everyone :3 #And then not quite Getting™ what their partner tastes closest to lol - unusual flavours for both of them!#Personally I see Luke as cotton candy flavoured - not bubblegum >:P and not any fruit flavour just pure sugar haha #It's very unusual for Florette! She's familiar with fruits even if she's not That close with them #And technically Luke does know about unsweetened candies like cocoa powder which is derived from plants but still not it!#This clearly requires more testing lol #And finally a sitting in one's lap ♪ Luke is drowning in florets! Oh no ♪#There's also something cute about both of them having just one leg-like appendage #Just imagining swinging their whole body like a leg over the edge of a seat haha #Silly ♪

What if arms were more of an accessory than an actual body part?? #Doodles #Pajama Sam #Florette #Luke Wigglebig #I'mma just start with the obvious - Florette gives such immense Veggietales vibes lol #Giving her anime eyes does a little for that but not That much lol - maybe I should try the cartoony eyes at some point #It is hard to draw her emoting with body language but I'm trying!#She can mostly just swish-swish oh well #Luke on the other hand has arms and hands! That's so convenient for body expressions lol #Also reverted back to his normal outfit rather than the silhouette-enhancer - it's just easier overall #Long boi #He always looks so surly! He's sweet-and-sour #I tried to not immediately go to hurting my faves but uh - oops lol #It'd be brutal to be hurt as a hard candy since it's not like there'd be any blood to help clot the wound #Just crunch-break and wait for the sugar to stitch things back together ow #How's he crying if he's hard candy? Don't worry about it lol #I may have gone a little overboard with the bandages lol #It was fun to draw him hiding his face with his hat though ♪ This is what happens when I try to move accessories around!#To think he could've avoided this if he just didn't have a hat lol #It's 'cause I usually don't like drawing people actually wearing their hats even if it's a primary accessory - I had to keep up my streak #There are many uses ✨

#Doodles #DBZ #DBZA #HFiL #Frieza #Zarbon #Dodoria #Ginyu #I was actually surprised to catch the fourth episode so quickly lol I decided to rewatch on a whim and then that happened #Cell and Frieza's catty back and forths are fun haha #I dunno why I never considered Ginyu and Frieza :0 They have fun chemistry - I guess they only have a very little screentime together #Glad to see abridged series still completely own the sway on my crackships lol #Feels real 2012 in here and I'm okay with that lol #Also Frieza's?? a lot cuter than I expected????#Like I draw him fairly chibi but his design has a real fun flow to it #Plus LK's Anime Noises™ are still absolutely top tier #Learning to draw someone new? Gotta give 'em a pillow #He'd absolutely shred it with those claws lol #The little horns in his first form are fun and cute but so is the smooth look of his final form! #Doodles #Koisuru Boukun #Tatsumi Souichi #Morinaga Tetsuhiro #It's 2021 we give no shits!#Well maybe enough shits to not post on main but y'know #Other than that lol #It's 2021 and we're out here dissecting our problematic media like men #I haven't done a breakdown yet since I'm still in the collection phase #But of the 4k words I've put down I imagine about 75% of it is Souichi lol #20% is Morinaga #And the remaining 5% is the rest of the Tatsumi family and Isogai (Praise be to Isogai ♥)#Although I did get very mad at him in one of the extras and it was the only time I've ever felt any negative emotion towards Isogai #It was very strange lol #Gods it's been ages since I've a) learned a new character and b) drawn anything manga style lol #YuGiOh doesn't count that's really its own bag of beans #Chins and jawlines and cheekbones are so weird in shoujo I forgot it's been so long #Technically that chibi is the first ever attempt and I'll leave it at that #The first style-study went disastrously lol #I haven't tried Morinaga yet - I probably will eventually since I do actually have an idea for them lol #But I just fjdkslafd love Souichi so much

#It's the [self-consciousness]#To the point where I don't even want this on main lol #I do one (1) impulsive thing and then spend the next three days regretting it sheesh #I've already well and talked myself away from feeling like /actually/ bad about it but I am still embarrassed #I mean the whole reason I'm not posting on main is the same reason here - the mortifying ordeal of being known #Me from four years ago wouldn't even consider saying something like that let alone sharing it with others #Where's the line between being brave and foolhardy? #PTKD #Put That Kid Down #More inspired-by than word for word but the handcuffs and the murderous glare y'know #Was thinking about their trek to Sleepy Peak Peak and how David insists Daniel keep his mouth shut #Laying off is considerably easier luckily #It's 'cause I was drawing him for the Save the Pitiful Children animatic doodles and he had his hands on Neil's shoulders #There's no continuity since David's pulling Max away but that's why it's two different ideas lol #Also I'm rather proud of those hands - everyone's - David's soft and defensive ones and Max's tentative resting and Daniel's spread fingers #Also Daniel turned out stupid pretty and I'm mad about it >:| Why can't I draw David like that #They've got the same design it should be easy! #Put That Kid Down #PTKD #A silly bookended with pain! Yaaaay #David's descent into ??acceptance?? of what he's doing is absolutely chilling #It's so uncomfortable for so many reasons it's so well written #The entire scene is so oppressive and the ''release'' at the end just ratchets up the dread ahhh it's so good <3 <3 #Then there's the spider scene lol #It's only one line so it makes sense that I didn't remember it on the reread but it made me laugh like the first time #The phrasing is so perfectly absurd and sudden I love it #If I ever get the attention for it I might have to do a two-panel animation of that Stomp Stomp lol #And then the last one is just y'know #A tired dad #Four hours of sleep is not enough sweetheart

#Blood #Put That Kid Down #PTKD #Honestly I don't think David was actually that tense (or indignant) while talking to Campbell about being tapped buuuut #I wanted to draw him mad lol #The middle one is him realizing Campbell didn't know :P I like that scene it's sad #And the last one is technically a double redraw! Wowie #I drew my initial thoughts five(?) months ago but on a reread I saw that scene very differently #Buuut I hadn't practiced drawing Davey until after I already tried getting the image out of my head lol - thus the double redraw #The original is.....too creepy to post lol #Also I wish I could take credit for the blur to the farther angle on David's arm in that last one but it's all the shitty scanner lol #I also did some hella editing on his face since I draw most of the elements correctly but placed them weirdly lol #Hopefully it is unnoticeable :3c #Also also to be fair - that last one still isn't /quite/ what I see in my mind's eye so who knows lol maybe yet another redraw sometime #I mean to start it's yet another chibi lol
