Mama Mia AU fic where Nancy’s daughter invites ‘Steve’ ‘Jonathan’ and ‘Robin’, all summer flings from her mother’s old diary that she had kept around the time she was conceived, to her wedding thinking that one of the three are potentially her biological father. She proceeds to be absolutely gobsmacked when she realizes ‘Robin’ is a woman and, therefore, her strict, straight-laced mom is some sort of queer.

She’s even more shocked when she realizes the two of them are still kinda into each other. And, meanwhile, Steve and Jonathan are lowkey making eyes at each other during the reception of Nancy and Robin’s surprise wedding. So she ends the fic with a much happier mom, a new step-mother, and two adoptive gay dads.

I know the usual trope is that the character is sad and pining when they see their love interest with someone else but Nancy’s impatient and has a little bit of a fluid relationship with commitment so I propose. She sees Robin with a girlfriend and immediately decides she’s breaking that up. Goes full Undercover Mode. Enlists the help of unsuspecting children and a few who are suspecting but love mess (Max and Erica)
