Blog entry for today-Let this be a warning to anyone who breaks in the back of their shoes(tw. blood)
This morning, my sister and I were late for the bus to school. I was running with my shoes not properly on, and the next thing I knew, I was tumbling down the sidewalk.
Luckily, I was wearing long pants and my knees were almost intact, and my hands were only slightly injured. So I was like, "oh cool, I'm not hurt! Well, gotta go to school now-" but when I looked at my hands again, there was blood pooling on it, but it was sure NOT coming from my hand.
Where is all this blood coming from??
I didn't have a clue, and I asked my sister, who told me it was coming from my chin. I checked my face with the camera app and YIKES THAT WAS SOME GORE. It looked like I was bitten by a zombie.
I went back home and my mom was like "Oh my god your face-!!" Mom messaged my homeroom teacher I was staying home today, and we waited home until it was hospital opening time. (I solved some math problems while waiting because the grind never stops haha)
We visited a dermatology clinic with a small band-aid on my blood-dripping chin, but they told us they only do "beauty purposed stuff" (which makes tons of money btw) and don't deal with gore like that. Eesh, how capitalism affects people...
So we went to a hospital this time (which specialized in injuries like this) with a small band-aid still on my bloody chin, and they told us they had to stitch it. Turns out my chin was kinda mashed up and the tissues were all scattered around the injury, and the cut was so deep that they had to sew back my inner muscles.
The stitching part wasn't that bad though. At first I was scared, I never had a surgery in a conscious state before, but thanks to the anesthesia it didn't hurt at all. The interesting part was that I could kinda feel them sewing my skin. I could feel the draped thread touching my skin, I could hear snipping sounds of scissors, and I could feel the thread pulling my skin to get it back in place. Not very different from sewing clothes, huh.
Yay look I got a white beard
I was devastated at first because there's an important exam I have to take 2 days later. But looking on the bright side, maybe I'm using all my bad luck on this to get better grades on that test...?
Anyways, I'm fine now, I don't look gore-ish anymore 👍 But I'm warning you, if you're reading this, wear your shoes properly..!
